Basco is a small town so every hotel you plan to stay in the area is walking distance to all the restaurants, convenience stores, and souvenir shops. The good thing about Shanedel's is that it's located beside the ocean so you get a very spectacular view of the sunrise and sunset. The place was clean as well and they have their own restaurant. In terms of value for money, its expensive but so as other hotel and things if you go to Batanes.

This inn has the best view of the port and ocean in Basco. Staff and owners are very warm and accommodating. It's close all establishments that offer basic needs and good.

What I liked most about this inn is that it's in front of the ocean and you can view the lighthouse and sunset from their dining area. They also serve food but I find it a bit pricey. The room was clean and they have a heater in the shower room. I just hope that the checkout time is not 7:30AM, too early.

no hot water”
Room has no hot water morning and night, the heater not working, water pressure too low. I and my friends nearly got sick after getting chilled getting cold baths. Worse if the weather is even colder. Also there is no watcher at the entrance so any say hold uppers can easily go inside and enter your room. Dangerous for solo and couple travelers.

There are other options in the vicinity that offer more value for money. If you are staying for at least 3 days on Batanes get a package from other properties that already includes breakfast and tour. If you want to book this property you’d better book directly with the property. Agoda guests are not entitled to free breakfast in this property.

I always thought some people are so meant to be blatantly frank when they do the reviews. Ignoring the real ones, made our stay in Basco miserable. While reading some of those reviews, am awfully thinking, are those real..? I mean those good ones..? To make mine, a fact to prove, please read those real reviews, esp from those people who narrated long but are all real..! Batanes is so beautiful, but this inn is exactly the opposite how Batanes looks!

Worst Inn in Batanes!!!”
My stay in Batanes is awesome until i checked-in in this Inn! The staff is somehow rude, the room is not that clean, we got a shared CR and it is very smelly. Other homestays in Batanes are lot okay compared here. That's why I stayed here for almost 10 hours only. I regret booking my one night here.

WE DIDNT KNOW THAT OUR FLIGHT WAS RESCHEDULED. WE KNEW IT WHEN WE WERE ALREADY AT THE AIRPORT. THE CONTACT WAS NOT ABLE TO REACH AND ALSO AGODA COULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. WE WASTED 3000PHP IN THIS INN!!!!!

Perfect if only the aircon was optimally working”
The staff was very welcoming which added to the chill vibe of the place. Location is very close to the Itbayat port and to a nearby cafe. The room and bathroom were both spacious and clean. Our only regret was that the aircon couldn't keep up with the heat. We would leave the aircon turned on and once we got back to the room, the room was still very hot. The air coming from the aircon was hot and dry. In fact, it was even hotter inside the room even if the owner gave 2 fans already. I hope Shanedel's Inn would get an aircon with a higher horsepower that can cool the entire room. We loved the place!!! Just really have to improve the aircon.

Unfortunately there was irregular electricity in the Province but the hotel have its own power generator. Not perfect situation but the owner/manager/family run hotel managed to keep us comfortable, safe, secured, and well attended too. The family running the hostel is very friendly, honest, helpful. These traits made up for the lack in 24/7 electricity, water and wifi. Its okay.

I stayed at Shanedels last Mar7-11,2018. Its a perfect place for sunset viewing. My friends and I enjoy the the sunset at there restaurant while having our snack around 5pm. The place is clean. Big rooms with Ac. The bathroom is clean as well. shower comes with heater. The thing i like most about Shanedels is that the owner is very nice. Shes very caring and very hands on.

Very nice experience to stay in this place, the room is basic but we really felt at home, we can recommend the place. Walking distance from the airport. Tours available for those who want,although we prefered to explore the area hiking - slow moving.

Pleasant stay”
Our 2days & 2 nights stay is pleasant for our first visit in Batanes. The reception has an ocean view which is nice. But I think it could be cheaper for a hometel and there are other more affordable accommodation in the same area of Basco. Overall, it's ok.
