Lovely hotel with gorgeous staff”
SG1 may be one of the best and most affordable hotels in Melaka. We stayed for a few days and could easily have stayed longer. It’s a 10 minute walk to the centre and situated in a fairly quiet part of the town. If you are walking you need to walk past the old Hotel Equatorial and it’s a few minutes walk on the right hand side. The hotel itself is modern, incredibly clean and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and although we had a studio - the smaller rooms still looked a really nice size. They provide complimentary nibbles and drinks every day. Internal soundproofing is also very good and you can’t hear anything from adjoining rooms. What makes SG1 the place to return to are the staff who are kind, polite, professional and caring. They welcome you with such warmth. There are so many hotels in this city now that the choice can be astounding however SG1 is up there with the very best. Sending our love to all of the staff.

Best Stay I've Ever Had”
I was in Melaka for my surgery and we were staying here. The staff was so warm. They accompany us to our rooms and got greeted by another staff when we reach the floor that we were staying. Well equipped with Coway water dispenser and almost everything like you can find at home. Fridge, microwave, cooking utensils etc. It really made the whole week away from home so comfortable. Bed was so comfortable, toilet well equipped with hair dryer too. Strong WiFi which makes things even better when my husband needs to work. Various channels that kept my boredom away. Will be staying here again when I'm back Melaka for my follow up checkups.

One of the best hotels I ever stayed in”
We stumbled upon this gem by chance and it was an amazing experience. The hotel is well maintained and absolutely spotless. The room is spacious, so comfortable and gives a very warm feeling. The best are the friendly staff always ready for the guests. Special thanks to Kris who received us before we could even walk inside the hotel and assist us right upto checkout. You all are the best. We are definitely going back to Malacca, just to stay at this wonderful hotel.

Perfect”
Checked in late to a very helpful staff, kris who went beyond his duties to help us with our luggage and showing us the way. Hotel was very clean and smells nice. Room was pristine and you immediately feel at ease after a tiring day. Everything was perfect. Would stay here again if I come to Melaka. Only downside is the parking as the parking lots are very limited. My husband had to go out twice to move his car as we had to park at the back of hotel and blocked other people's cars. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back!

Above and beyond expectations service. Would like to compliment hotel staff Jackie who exceeded his core of duties to meet my 2 nights stay in SGI hotel. 1. He is patient and professional in providing us with informations as regard to nearby attractions as well as popular eateries. 2. Definitely a Service-Oriented staff who go beyond his duties, eg. walking us to our room, ensuring all our 3 rooms arrangements are prepared to our expectations indicated his work passion . 3. Finally, Jackie personally bid us farewell as we depart from our 2 nights stays and bought us local desserts. Due to my job nature, I travel very often to many good class hotels and indeed SGI hotel rated far beyond in comparison with any top notch hotel around the world. Amazing staff and the staff was outstanding.”
Kriss, Annie and Angah were fantastic. They were more than helpful in answsering all of our questions. They gave us great advise on thier city and insite to thier culture. We had asked them about a toaster and the unit didn't have one. They had told us it didn't come with one. But, they went out that night and bought one for us. Great people.

very helpful staff .. i checked in late actually because of the traffic situation .. but staff still waited for i arrived and checked in .. because last check in was at 10 pm. the room is very clean and the conditions are soothing .. the place is very strategic .. and the good staff makes us easily comfortable

The room is extremely clean and comfortable, smart design and all just feels good. The best thing is the services! Miss Cass greeted us with great smile, recommended lots local nice places for visit and lunch/dinner. After that lead us to the hotel room. Although we just booked for a Superior room but we felt that we are served as VIP! I love this hotel! Definitely will come back again! The only thing is just the lift, we just feel like not stable as it will be abit shaky before it open the door. We hope that the management will look into this issue.

Place very meticulously designed”
The place has a very modern design, yet filled with gorgeous Baba Nyonya paintings. They have a common area on every floor, that makes the place not claustrophobic as you walk to your room. The rooms have every necessity you’ll need, bed very comfy. The shower is really good too.

Comfort and safe stay”
First time stay. I love their hotel cleanliness because hotel do regular sanitize within hotel. Once you enter, you need to go through a sanitize check in door. Overall I feel safe and clean. Enter the room you will feel clean and their pillow was great. The con is bathroom a bit compact. But it is ok for me. I definitely will come again. Their staff are hospitality and friendly. Really enjoy my stay.

The hotel front desk was very pleasant and friendly (Chinese guy). Checking-in was a breeze. The housekeeping staff was also very good and helpful ; if i got their names correctly, Angah and Rohani and also 2 other guys who cleaned my other 2 rooms booked under member. All in all, it was a pleasant stay at SGI. Would definitely come there again. Thank you for a great hospitality.
