Best Place in Sepilok”
We really enjoy our stay at this resort nested in the forest. The staff is very friendly, helfully and professional. We really love all the Animals and sound of Nature around us. The bungalow was clean and has all we Need. They have a no deep pool where You can relax in the end of the day. We saw the macaque monkey from our chalet, monitor lizard, many squirrels, deer and different birds. The Orangutan Scantuary is just 10 minutes walking and little more for the Rainforest Discovery Center (we recommend to visit this place. Is better to go there in the morning, so you can lose yourself in the Rainforest. We saw the horn birds also). The cashier said to us that is 1 hour walking only but If You want visit all the trails sure you keep more then o hours). For Sepilok forest Edge staff..... still do like that. You make a perfect job! Some tips: 1) try to add ginger to home-made jam. 2) add hooks for towels in the bathroom (Danum chalet) 3) recommend the Rainforest Discovery Center to guest

Simply magical!”
We came to Sepilok to celebrate a major wedding anniversary, and we could not have chosen a more magical place. We booked the deluxe chalet, and it was perfect. Secluded location, serenely peaceful, and very comfortable. But if you are looking for 6-star pampered city luxury, look elsewhere, as this is a back-to-nature forest retreat. We even had a wifi interruption because a monkey came and took a bite out of the cable, but they soon got it fixed, and the bats roost dangling from the roof timbers of the front porch and the balcony, and do what bats do. The food was excellent - simple but filling buffet breakfast, with eggs cooked to order, and delicious local dishes served all day - western food also available. The staff were wonderful, polite and helpful in every way. The two fantastic animal sanctuaries (orang utans and sun bears) are a short walk away - I timed it as 11 minutes. These are unmissable - worth a full day at each. We had 2 days with the orang utans, and wanted more.

Wonderful and worth to stay”
We stayed for only 1 night, but wish it could be more! Friendly and always smiling and helpful staff. Loved indoor and outdoor bathroom, bungalows are extremely clean and comfortable with good views from terraces. Breakfast was good, they cook fresh eggs to your liking. Highly recommended!

Excellent resort with its own jungle trail!!”
The resort is exceptional. The staff are all friendly, accommodating..made us feel like home. The rooms are clean, well made. Despite being in the jungle, we felt safe and comfortable in the chalet and around the compound.

Great Jungle Resort”
We loved 'The Nest' Restaurant and hung out there a lot. Fantastic food, staff, decor and view. Only part of the place with any internet and even then, was hit and miss. Reception staff member Aaron was super helpful with advice of tours. We stayed 4 nights here but wish we had stayed 6, so we could spend more time exploring. We highly recommend the Rainforest Discovery Centre and their night walk (ensure to book in advance - hotel reception can register you for this).

Rustic Luxury”
We had a great stay at Forest Edge. After a very no-frills river stay, the Forest Edge was a welcome bit of luxury. The cabins have great a/c and are situated at a good distance from one another. The restaurant really works to meet visitors' needs, and one can walk to the sun bears, orangutans and even the Rainforest Discovery Center in a pinch.

Basic dorm room with amazing facilities in the resort”
Dreamy location, everything looks quite new and taken care off. The breakfast is a definite highlight (fruits, waffles, toast, cereal, eggs). The restaurant itself is a bit more expensive than usual for Malaysian standards, expect to spend around 10 euro's on a meal with a drink. But the quality makes up for it! Really enjoyed my time here, the staff is very helpful and kind.

The staffs were super helpful and friendly. The facilities and accomodation itself is unique and wonderful! The best part of it, it's different from the other typical resorts. It's more eco-friendly and very nature based environment. Love it!

Staff are excellent! ”
Had a lovely 3 night stay. We took some time to relax after climbing Mt Kinabalu. The staff were so lovely and helpful. Jessica in the restaurant was fantastic and we felt at home. It’s a comfortable spot to stop and relax, while being just a short distance to the attractions of sepilok. Food in the restaurant is the best in the area! And at a good price!

Welcome to the jungle! ”
Staff are fantastic- friendly and helpful Chalets are spaces out for privacy and the wildlife is all around, you can birdwatch and see the bats from your veranda. Food is fabulous and people came from other resorts to eat it. Included breakfast is great with fresh fruit, waffles, cereal, eggs, beans, hotdog sausages all included Families liked all the board games and pool. 10 mins walk to the orangutans and sun bears, 30 mins to the rainforest discovery centre (do the night walk on mon/weds/fri!) or you can hire a bike for 30 ringgit a day. A great place to relax, cool off in the pool and enjoy the wildlife. I stayed 4 nights and would definitely go back

Exceptional”
This is a hotel where you can relax with the conforts of a very good hotel, with a reasonable price. I loved the out-door shower, since its roofless, so you feel as if you are taking a shower in the jungle (but they also they have an additional normal shower inside the bathroom, with warm water, with all conforts we need, dont worry...). The best is that the cabins are facing the wild jungle, and have window doors, so when you wake up early morning you can watch how the rain is pouring outside you room (if its raining) and enjoying the view of the jungle. Or go outside to the balcony to enjoy it "for real". Amazing hotel. Restaurant its also quite good. You eat descent food. Good option.

Nice resort at forest edge”
Pros: Nice resort, feels like staying in village house in a jungle. Best part they have nice and clean balcony, and have outdoor and indoor shower. The outdoor shower located outside the bathroom, still have walls but without roof. Very relaxing resort. Cons: lack of mirror - only have mirror in bathroom. Dont have TV or free wifi in rooms. Overall good

Wonderful quiet retreat for a relaxed stay at Sepilok.”
Forest Edge Resort is a little farther from the attractions than the other hostels, but is much quieter and has a great, relaxed vibe. It's about a 10 minute walk from the Orangutan Sanctuary and a 35 minute walk from the Rainforest Conservation Centre. Customer service is excellent. Dorms have a personal locker, plug and light per bed. Breakfast is filling, with a selection of fruits, bread and salad. The door to the dorms could use a better locking system; you simply put a large stick in to keep it shut.
