Magnificent location, Budget hotel.”

Sen Hotel Saigon is in a perfect location in district 1 ( 300 meters from Ben Thenh Market) . A fine room costs you $19-20 / night, great value. The front desk bend backwards to help you ( their only down fall is that their English isn't great but they do try so hard & they are so friendly & happy & focused on helping you have a nice stay) The rooms are always kept clean, the cleaners are honest ( I slip them a $1 when I see them & it makes all the difference, even if I didn't the job would be done excellent ) I have stayed here on 5 visits to Saigon & will be back in February & it will be my first chose, get a floor above the 2nd floor for excellent wifi. Tiny tips go a long way in any hotel in Vietnam, the hotel staff work hard here & really do try & go out of their way to help you, be patient with them & you will enjoy your stay. Great location for cheap restaurants, only 100 meters across the road in backpacker town.

This is my favourite hotel in Saigon, I was in Saigon 3 times this year, in fact this was my 4th trip and I will be back to Saigon in December and again in February 2017. This trip I was so disappointed (sure I was immediately up graded to room on 5th floor which is Sen Hotel best suits and of course that's why they are so nice) But owners, listen to me, your hotel is in bad need of basic maintenance (fresh paint, plumbing issues, your wifi is hopeless and just hangs of the wall, very ugly and unprofessional looking, so as recommended before, get a better internet provider,) My God you have been blessed with your reception people but their English is rubbish, maybe they are fluent in another language ? But for Gods Sake send your receptionists to English lessons. Your doorman is differant than the last doorman who was excellent, fast, quick and done his job with pride (rehire him) All I can say about this trip that has always been great is your cleaning ladies, I've stayed in Hilton, Sheraton, Holiday Inns around the world but your cleaning ladies go just maybe 10 % extra, these ladies are paying your profit, I suggest you give them $10-20 per week extra. I will be back in November and February, it would be nice to see some changes, also upgrade your TV subscription, the available English channels are useless (some better sport and English news channels would be A1 John

I Keep Coming Back, Is That Not Enough.”

Hotel staff getting better at English but still need to improvise, but again overall excellent. This is my 5-6 stay at Sen Hotel & whenever I stay in Saigon in the future it will be the hotel I will I choose, the closeness to backpacker restaurants is only 200 meters away & there are heaps, if you want night clubs there there to (late night also if you want). Bến Thành Market is 500 meter safe walk to all your shopping desires ( remember if something costs $4.00 only pay $1.00 and keep walking, gust keep walking, you may get it for $1.00-$1.25, same thing if something cost 100,000,000 Dong, say NO , if give 250,000 Dong & stick to it & walk away, the sellers will always come back, mark my words. Hotel, Look At Other, Hotels, Then , Just, Book This One

Great little hotel with great servcie”

Upon arriving to the Sen Hotel Saigon, I was greeted with a smile and warm welcome. This is a good location to go out and about for walking with a park across the street. The rooms were and good size were clean and tidy. I did experience and issue with the bathroom leaking water, but when the reception team was advised, this was fixed the very next day! Each morning reception was happy and helpful and always said hello. There is a convenience store located a short walk away for the daily needs. I would stay here again.

I am a frequent stayer at the Sen Hotel Saigon, each time there is need for improvement, my last stay I see there is a tourism counter (I think this is a waste of time and money, if you want to make a bit of extra money, find some space for breakfast area) I notice you have a take away menu now (I can tell you the food on offer is revolting) Your bedrooms are now in need of some Maintance, such as around the light switches there are finger prints that look like fences. Your new manager, yes she speaks English reasonably well, but I have said stick with your previous reception desk people who are buitifull girls. All I can say to owners, invite me over & $50;000 will go a long way $100K will make your place excellent within 3-4 months, otherwise your star rating will decrease. My next trip I stay at Ava 2

Amazing service and central location in District 1”

My friend and I stayed in Sen Hotel for three nights and we had a great time. It's a nice place to stay to do the sightseeing in Ho Chi Minh. The market is very close and so are all the other sites (ten minute walk). The hotel employees would help us with anything which is amazing especially during Tet when it's harder to get around. Definitely worth staying here for a few nights to explore HCM.

Great staff - good hotel ”

I stayed here for the best part of two weeks after initially booking two nights. The staff were the main reason - the girls on reception in particular but a night guy that doesn't have an attitude when you come back at 1 or 2am is also something you don't find everywhere in Vietnam. The rooms were large and clean - water pressure was good (except for one morning where no water was available through no fault of the hotel). The hotel is close enough to the chaos of Bui Vien street and a short stroll to the market and restaurants. I will be noting this one for future stays in Saigon

nice place good staff and good location. many things to see all around. hotel is in the heart of district 1 so its a good place to be able to see and do all in downtown saigon. Hotel is clean and the staff were all nice.

Reasonable Hotel”

A very good location. Sen Hotel is just next to KFC. Very convenient for going around the City. About 6 minutes walk to Ben Tanh Market. The room is clean and tidy. The price is cheap and easy to get Vinasun Cab in front Hotel. The Staff is very helpful.

Cozy hotel in District 1”

My friend and I stayed here on our way out of Vietnam. We have been living here for a year so we had a good amount of luggage with us. The room was okay sized and perfect for our 1-2 night stay. The hotel is in close proximity to all of the attractions in District 1/Backpackers area but far enough away not to hear partying all night. Only downside is the hotel is located on the corner of a one way street which made getting dropped off and picked up difficult. This is why I opted for the airport transfer through the hotel.

Good location and clean”

Sen Saigon is in a great location, halfway between the nightlife of the backpacker area and the tourist attractions of te city. We stayed for five nights in a room on the fith floor, and with the outer roof being metal, the heavy rain is crazy loud, but that usually didn't last too long. The room was cleaned every day. Would stay again for the cheap Agoda price. Probably find better for the usual price

We stayed here for 12 nights as we had to extend our stay twice (no issues, stayed in same room) because we arrived at the beginning of têt and a lot was closed. This hotel is in an amazing location! We walked to districts 3,5 and 8 as well as all over 1 where the hotel is located. The bus station is near by and it's super convenient to grab taxis or motorbike taxis. Super close to hundreds of restaurants and good shopping (everything from high-end malls to street trinkets). Staff spoke some English and booked our bus to Dā Lat for us. They offer many other tours or trips as well. Front doors lock between 11pm/12am - 7am but door man will let you in if you knock as he sleeps beside the door. Amazing shower but had to play with the water temperature a bit. Only real downside was onsite laundry was pay-per-piece and it was very expensive. We found our own laundry place (F5) which was awesome and only 10-15mins walk (on the way to the War Remnants Museum if you're going).

Good location with friendly staff”

The hotel is located next to the Sky Bar which is one of Saigon's best clubs. Within walking distance to backpackers place and Ben Thah Market. The counter staff is friendly and had good knowledge of places to recommend in the area. Staff spoke English and you could even book your tours from there. Hotel had wifi access and even security. Rooms were clean and sufficient for accomodation. I would definitely stay there again when I visit Saigon.

Value for money hotel in good location”

Sen hotel - located in city center, nearby New World Hotel and short walk to Ben Thanh market. Several eateries along Le Lai St and highly recommended Hung Ky Noodle House (20 Le Anh Xuan, diagonaly opposite New World Hote).for Asian food (roast duck, chicken and house speacialty - Duck Noodles.... in fact, one of my main reason for putting up at Sen Hotel.). Strong wifi plus elevator to higher floors.

a great value for the price, which was great for me. the staff were very friendly and accommodating. the location was good and the room was clean. also, there were no bogus mark-ups on tour deals if you book through the hotel; they offered the cheapest rates even compared to other tour companies and nearby hotels.

Adequate hotel, nice staff”

Nothing to complain about with my stay here. Standard 2 star standard hotel room. Staff were always nice and courteous. Good location in district 1. Limited other facilities so don't expect too much but for the price you are paying, you shouldn't.

Amazing location & extremely friendly staff”

We stayed in a fairly small windowless room, which actually turned out to be a plus because there was no noise from the city. The bathroom was a bit cramped, but overall clean. When booking a budget hotel you can't be too picky, and this place worked just fine for us as backpackers. The girl at the front desk was always so smiley and nice, and the location was perfect to walk to the market and restaurants and city center. We would stay here again if ever back in the city.

Reasonable price, good location”

Very good location. Just 5-minute walk to Ben Thanh market. Easy to go some famous places like: Nguyen Hue street, Saigon Center, Saigon Square... Staff is friendly and helpful. But wifi is weak. Overall, I recommend this hotel for someone who wants a place with reasonable price, good location and not much facilities.

Not Bad for the Money”

The hotel is conveniently located close to the backpacker district, but slightly closer to Ben Thanh Market than the hotels directly on Pham Ngu Lao. It is in a quieter area, but well within walking distance of the backpacker district, as well as other tourist sites, restaurants, and shopping. Not bad, if you want to escape from the loudness and chaos, but to get to Pham Ngu Lao, you have to cross several streets, which in Viet Nam, can be rather unpleasant. I was given the option of two rooms, one which was smaller, but reachable via the elevator, as it was on a lower floor, or a large room on the uppermost floor. The large room could not be accessed by the elevator, however, so I had to travel up a flight of stairs to reach the room. The staircase was very narrow (as is common in Viet Nam), full of twists and turns, and had low ceilings, so be careful not to bump your head or trip! Although the room was spacious, it had some used, spare mattresses propped up on one of the walls. I could not get the free wi-fi to work due to bandwidth and connectivity issues, but since I only stayed one night and had access via the numerous cafes in the area, it was not an issue for me. This is very uncommon, in my experience, in Viet Nam, however, and definitely lowers my opinion of the hotel. There also seemed to be an issue with some sort of flying insect infestation in the restroom sink. This hotel is suitable for a night or two, at most, and not as convenient, location-wise, as other similarly priced and appointed hotels in the general vicinity.

I booked this hotel and when I got there they told me the air con was not working so they had booked me into another hotel 200 metres away, fine but the hotel they booked me into was a complete flop house, dirty small no lift and the room was on the 4th floor. sen hotel never again
