Budget hotel in Expensive Mactan area”

The Sebastien hotel stay was satisfying. While the location was a bit isolated, it was probably one of the best buys in Mactan. We took a taxi to see the 10,000 electric lighted artificial Roses and have dinner at the famed Floating Restaurant to be disappointed with the long wait time to have a meal, so we had pizza instead at a small cafe. The venue is quite fare from Sebastien Hotel and had trouble getting a taxi to take us there (required a large tip, and fee for waiting for an hour while we toured the attraction. Hotel breakfast was ordered the day before and was either delivered to your room or you went to the restaurant that was next door. Very good pancakes and coffee. I was satisfied with my stay, but will probably stay at a beach resort next time I stay in Mactan, perhaps even at the hotel that is right next to the airport. Flights to and from Cebu were over one hour late.

Excellent stay at Sebastien Hotel”

If you're wrapping up your stay in Cebu & want to be in Mactan near the airport, I recommend the Sebastien Hotel. I give them 3.4 stars. It's a new hotel, about 2-3 miles from Lapulapu City so it's quiet & very clean. Rooms are spacious & the bed and blankets were great --best sleep we had during a 19 day vacation all over Cebu & Bohol. Hotel staff were very eager to please & very professional. Breakfast was included & delicious. I would have given them 4++ stars, but they did not have a pool & wi-fi was only available at the lobby or the restaurant. But the front desk told me that since they are brand new that the hotel would construct & take care of those important amenities. Thanks again to the great staff of the Sebastien Hotel!

Rolly from California...Just minutes from the Mactan International Airport...very clean rooms and the morning breakfast was outstanding (either dining in or at the restaurant next door or via room service)...Loved the late check out at 1:30PM-meant I didn't waste an extra 1.5 hours at the airport waiting for departure at 7:50PM...thank you Sebastien Hotel employees...

Exceptional”

The staff were so helpful and incredibly friendly. The room service was prompt and always with a smile. We loved everything about the Sebastien, the only things that were not as perfect were that water pressure is pretty low and the church across the street was very loud at 5am, but the hotel has no control over that. Just know if you are a lite sleeper you might have a 5am wake up bell. Other then that, they delivered food to our rooms, they were very good about cleaning everyday. They helped us find affordable outings such as island hopping tours, and taxis to our desired locations. They were willing to answer any of your questions. Also little side note is they do require 1,000 peso cash deposit per room. They will return it to you at checkout, but make sure you bring cash with you on checkin.

Nice stay”

We had a relatively short stay in Sebastien Hotel, as we arrived late and departed early for a flight the next day, although the time we spent here was nice. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and tidy, with a small kitchen area. Location is good for access to the airport and the accommodation is also located 5 mins walk away from a food court type area with 7-11, McDonalds, etc. if you're feeling peckish. We ordered breakfast the night before also and they deliver this to the room which was a nice touch. Breakfast was fine, nothing outstanding, but enjoyable all the same.

Decent place in quiet area”

Pro: Walking distance to Magellan Shrine (about 10 minutes). Near to transportation hub of Newtown. Close to port, take a ferry to Olango. Clean and decent hotel room, with good amenities (kitchenette, washing area). Short drive to Mactan-Cebu airport (about 15 minutes). 24-hour cafe is right next door. Massage in the spa was very good. Quiet and peaceful area. Cons: A bit far from Cebu island, you'll need a taxi or other transport to get to other points of interest.

Pros: +Location is 15mins away from Mactan airport. +Rooms are huge more of a condominium type so you have your own dining and kitchen place. + 100% clean + Staffs are very attentive and customer centric + breakfast is delivered to your room at your preferred time (till 10am) + Near 10k roses Cons - Quite far from malls (Ayala Center and SM Cebu) due to heavy traffic in the city center. Approximately 1hr from the hotel. - Less food choices outside the hotel.

Great Stay”

After a very long day due to traveling and airport delays, I finally made it to the hotel. I was greeted by a great staff which made me feel welcomed! The hotel is very close to the Cebu Mactan Airport by taxi. The rooms were clean and the bed was soft and made it very easy to get a great night's sleep. Many shops and restaurants nearby. I would definitely stay there again in the future. Great Hospitality!!!!

Hidden charm right near NewTown”

so I’ve stayed in Cebu for six times now and I’ve always stayed at a resort in Maribago area. so this trip unfortunately the resort I normally stay at was booked and also the pricing have been going up slowly but Shirley on that resort so I found Sebastian hotel here at Agoda and I wanted to try it out because the price looked great. So let me tell you this hotel was perfect price was perfect room was perfect staff was incredible location was perfect they even offered eight choices of breakfast for free. The only downfall is the bathroom the shower has no way to stop the water from going to the rest of the bathroom other than that outstanding thank you so much for a great stay

I chose Sebastien for the convenience in location and value for money. I was pleasantly surprised at how excellent the service was! The staff were extremely helpful, and every need was met! Future patrons should not have expectations and enjoy the fact that it is great hotel for a 3-star. Have already recommended, and will keep recommending .... Thank you to all the staff!

New, clean, with all the essentials and more”

If you're not in Cebu to splurge on the big resorts, I highly recommend this place. It's midway between the airport and the beaches, avoiding the traffic in the rest of Cebu. It's good value for money since you get a new hotel, everything is clean, the room and bathroom is large, complete with a spacious kitchenette and dining area. Wifi is good, staff serve you your breakfast at your room, and customer service is ace. Bed was huge and soft and I slept like a baby. Possible downside, a bit noisy from the street, and the bathroom has no divider for the shower so the place can get a bit wet. I reckon this would be a great choice for business travelers or long-stay travelers.

Excellent small hotel near Mactan Airport”

Very good location near the airport if you have a long layover, if you want to straight to Olango Island, if you have an early morning departure and you want to avoid the one hour ride for the 15kms to Cebu. The hotel is very good value for money and although it is far away from a city center, it has quite a few restaurants, a supermarket and a very decent café within walking distance

Customer service was exceptional”

The place was good but what made the place exceptional were the people. The bellboy especially was very corteous and assisted us in every step of the way He was a true example of real customer service. We may have stayed in three different and higher end hotels for three days here in cebu but the customer service especially from this man was the real deal. Kudos to you and your staff.

Exceptional”

Friendly and accommodating staff. Near Mactan Newtown and Mactan Alfresco. My room has so much space even if it's just for two people. They can also place your breakfast on a take away if you don't have time to eat it at the hotel. I had a very pleasant stay.

Clean new Hotel with basic amnesties & big room”

Had the Deluxe queen studio, room was spacious and had fridge with basic kitchenette, toilet had bidet but water pressure was low, overall the room was clean and satisfactory. Bfast selection was good enough for me (and the price I paid for), front desk was helpful and very nice, security guard was helpful as well. The is a small Japanese convenience store, laundry and local restaurant on same block with Hotel - very convenient. McDonald’s, 7-11, and alfresco food court is about 3 minutes walk away from Hotel (at Mactan New Town). Location of hotel is at Mactan New Town which will be very practical (only problem for me is that it’s still very new and many restaurants and shops are still being built, but when done will be a great location). Hotel was very accommodating to prepare take away sandwich pack for me as I had to leave at 4:30am for the airport. Will stay again.

Excellent”

We love the room. It is very clean. It has a service area and refrigerator. The bed is very comfortable and the closet is big. Our room was 507, we had a nice view from our room. The location is very nice. It's near to all kinds of destinations like church, beaches, restaurants, malls. This is an excellent place for people who will stay in Cebu to roam around, and not to stay in the beach. We will definitely go back here.

Good place to stay”

Its a very good place to stay, its near the airport. The hotel is new, I hope they will be able to maintain its cleanliness. Breakfast: not buffet but the taste is very good (we tried the club sandwich and hotdog sandwich). Service: good. Delivered the food on time as requested, called a cab for hotel transfer to airport. They do have a shuttle service to and from the airport but the time of our flight was too early so we could not avail of it. Maybe next time we will. Room: room was clean, bed and pillows was soft enough, bathroom was clean although there was no divider between the shower and the toilet. There was a laundry room area which makes it easy to dry your wet clothes after going swimming in the beaches of cebu.

everything is good, except”

location is good if you are about to have activities on Mactan Island. Not easy to get taxi but Uber is readily available. it is clean, the staff is nice. Only one thing: the wifi/internet is terrible. texting is fine, but don't expect it works for photo uploading. It is slow and unstable.

Convenient Hotel access”

We choose this hotel as its an easy access to the airport and less traffic away from main Cebu,we used this hotel as our base. mostly away on tour so didn’t need much facilities as you can get from expensive ones.!Mcdonalds and Jolibee were 5mins walked.since there are 14 pax of us,getting around isn’t easy but special mentioned to the receptionist Menz,Michele,Joanna and Jed who were very helpful and accommodating helping us booking the Vans pick up every time we need one to go out.
