I love this place in Pai, it is clean and tidy, close to town and the pool is lovely after a hard day walking around. Must have stayed here 10 times now, every now and again go somewhere else when it is full, but always my first choice

Hidden gem next to Pai River”
I've stayed in Pai many many times over the years, but this was my first time staying at Sawasdee Pai. As soon as I arrived I knew we would not be disappointed. The set-up of the rooms and pool area are very suitable for groups of friends and couples to stay. The rooms are cool and comfortable. The river view is relaxing. It has an nice old school Pai vibe to it, while still being modern and well appointed. The owners are very friendly, including their son who was helpful and gave us a cool Sawasdeepai stickers when we checked out. Off street parking is available. Location wise, it's only a 5 minute or less walk to walking street and all the bars etc. About a 20 minute walk to the hillside Buddha to watch the sunset.

I enjoyed my 4 nights at this hotel. I had the best room which is room number 8 with river view. Only think is wifi could be stronger. The owners are friendly and laid back. Will clean room on request. 2 waters a day and the location is perfect close to walking Street but quiet. Pool was ok I swam once in it. I would stay again.

Everything you need in pai ”
Nice balconies on the river front, comfy beds, nice details and art everywhere. Very good yoga teacher, yoga at the terrace by the river is great. Pool was clean. Staff friendly. Directly in the center, but for me it wasn’t loud at all. I would like to come back again. Only annoying thing was a the licking sink in the bathroom, but I’m sure they will fix it.

We stayed here for 5 nights in Pai. Super clean and comfortable. Loved the pool and hangout area and yoga classes available right on the property. The ONLY downside is that the bars are super close so it gets noisy at night - I would stay here again but bring earplugs. Overall great place to stay in Pai and close to everything.

Good but freezing at night ”
Hotel in perfect location. Bed was hard and pillows super uncomfortable. Bungalow was very big, and stylish, however during night was extremely cold. Air condition was just cooling place more, couldn’t heat it up when needed. In bathroom water wasn’t warm enough. Besides that very friendly staff, free small breakfast: bread, coffee/chocolate, fruits, peanut butter, instant noodles. Yoga classes are not free.

I arrived in the afternoon to a hospitable welcome & was shown to my room. However, at night time, I could hear very loud music from the night clubs across the road! I had to check out after 1 night, despite having paid for more nights, because it was difficult to get any sleep before 4a.m.

Pleasant stay”
The start was bad. The Agoda map was showing the wrong location so it took an hour to find the lodge by asking around local people. (I already reported the correct location to Agoda, so it should be corrected by now!) My stay at Sawasdee Pai River Resort was so pleasant and I really enjoyed my stay there. The owners or lodge staff was very nice and keep the confortable distance with the guests, not too close, not careless... The lodge was close to the main area (Nightly Walking Street as well) and close to bars and eateries, and still very quiet, and you are surround by lots of green and enjoy the river view. I stayed a Baan Din room which was decorated so artisticlly with the pains, didn't have AC, Fan instead. The hot shower worked fine. However, my first night, I felt my bed cushion was very hot somehow and I woke up sweating a few times. And the next day I found out why. I saw the hotel owner/staff actually hang out the bed cushion under the sun when guests checked-out, which is a wonderful thing to do to prevent bedbugs! I slept fine next night, by the way. For the most of solo travelers, it might be a bit over the budget to stay here but this is Pai. Enjoy the colorful room with greens & river!

Friendly owners, beautiful location”
My wife and I stayed at Sawasdee Pai River Resort for 9 days. We loved our cosy and clean little bungalow (#4). The grounds of the resort are very pretty and well maintained, with a manicured lawn, lots of tropical plants, and friendly animals. The air conditioning worked great, which was fantastic because it gets pretty hot in Pai during the summer. The owners were very kind and helpful. They helped us find activities to go to, arranged a day tour for us through a 3rd party tour company, and helped us rent scooters at the rental place next door. When my wife needed a hair dryer, the owners lent us one for our whole stay. I highly recommend staying here. We plan to return next year if we can.

Great Stay & nice yoga class ”
I went to Pai from Chiang Mai via aya minibus. Sawasdee Pai River is just walking distance from Aya van station where the minibus will drop us. There is night market every night in Pai and it is just 5 mins walk. The room I stayed is for 2 person with nice nice toilet attached and they also have Tv & mini fridge as well. RM90 for a house / Bangalow / room is more than what I can ask for. The receptionist is so so lovely & helpful. They also have morning & evening yoga class to attend (200 baht per session - 1 n a half hours per session) & it was good!!!!! STRONGLY recommend for those solo traveler who wish to walk around the town by foot.

A little sanctuary”
Sawasdee Pai is a gem of a place. Rustic, but the rooms are big and comfortable, with a fridge, TV and air con. They are wooden huts on stilts surrounded by foliage, and have a terrace. It is a lovely tranquil setting beside the river. There is a small cafe with good coffee. They also run yoga classes which I would highly recommend. The location is close to everything and only a five minute walk from the bus station.

I've stayed at Sawasdee Pai a few times already. It's a beautiful place and decorated with attenition to detail. The location is excellent right by the river and all Pai 'essentials' are in walking distance. The staff is very friendly & helpful and I love that they offer yoga classes twice a day too!
