Great view, staff went above and beyond to meet our needs”
We really enjoyed our stay at Sapa view Hotel. Yes the room witnesses the age of the hotel and the sink leaks but don't let those tiny details make you hesitate to book there. The receptionnist is amazing and since they are also a little travel agency they booked us a private trek in the rice paddies with the ever so nice hmong guide Sue outside of the normal tourist routes. Would stay there again. Ask for a room with a view. It is one of the last truly magnificent viewpoint of the Sapa Valley in an affordable price range.

Warm & friendly staff made me felt really at home”
The hotel is relatively new (1 year old). A very cosy place with friendly and helpful staff who really made me felt at home. After booking a room, I emailed the hotel to enquire about guided tours. The hotel's friendly staff (Jenifer) provided me with tips and even helped book train tickets and arrange for land transfer to and fro Lao Cai station and Sapa town. The tour guide turned out to be awesome! Plus lunch and dinner was provided as part of the day tour. I really had a lot of fun at Sapa, all thanks to the hotel's kind arrangement. Every room has a fireplace and guests can request for someone to light up the fireplace at night when it's cold. The view from balcony was breathtaking. The only area which can be improved is the design of the bathroom. The bathroom gets all wet when we shower, which makes it really inconvenient. Also, the window in the bathroom, when left open, will attract many many insects into the bathroom (not sure if this only happens during winter).

Excellent hotel with a great view”
We arrived the hotel to meet the receptionist who was very friendly and spoke fluent English, the location of the place was easy to find and the view was stunning. The room features a fireplace with was a little troublesome to keep the fire alive, however it was fun to sit around the fireplace. Basically in Sapa the weather affects the trekking and photo takings, we were there during January 2 which had fine picture taking spots however on the second day it was raining and the mist covered up all the hills and waterfall. Hence we decided to stay in the hotel, which the allow us to extend our check out timing to 6pm(half price) and arranged transportation as well. The staff are extremely helpful and kind and often offer to provide greater service than expected.

great location, excellent view from room”
tired and exhausted after overnight train to sapa and asked if we could check in early , v pleased that rooms and breakfast were made available at such an early hour the hotel made organising transport and tours simple and affordable Our Black Hmong guide Ku was perfect, and an excellent sense of humour amazing views from the rooms only few minutes walk to sapa central rooms comfortable, shower door opens inwards and a bit awkward but otherwise bathroom ok upper levels great for the views but involve a lot of steps, bear in mind if not keen on stairs staff very helpful and attentive restaurant meals were average, recommend walk into town for dinner

Excellent interior with good view”
Booked 2 rooms and stayed here 1 night with family. Love the deluxe garden view room which oversees bamboo trees. It's on the 4th floor and you have to walk through an open area to get there. Quite isolated but unique feel. The other room was upgraded to mountain view for free, on the 2nd floor. Awesome view of the Fansipan peak in the morning! Do note that there is no lift in this hotel. Access by stairs only. Love the clean and nicely decorated rooms. Electric blankets available. Fireplace not in use as it was not cold enough. Rain showerhead available in bathrooms - water pressure could be higher - but sufficient considering the hotel size and being located on a mountain. Walking distance to Sapa town. Breakfast was ok. Staff was friendly. No complaints. Overall excellent experience.

Fantastic hotel with extra's!”
this is a beautiful hotel in a great location, just down the road from the main tourist strip, which is perfect. we arrived from hanoi via the sapa overnight train, so at the hotel at 0700h, ie way before the midday check-in time. we were given our room early, available at 0730h, so we spent the half hour eating brekky at the hotel. we were upgraded to a valley view room, which came with a real wood fire in the room, which was lit by the staff at 1800h. the early check-in was awesome, giving us time for a morning sleep so as to recover from the train trip. the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was lovely and clean. in the evening we dined at the hotel restaurant, which provided entertainment from a hmong man who played a variety of flutes for two hours. this hotel was worth more than what we paid! we were very happy!

Great hotel, fantastic views and friendly service”
Although there were many stairs to climb, the views from the 4th floor were well worth it. Very comfortable beds and very clean rooms made up for the bathroom where you had to squeeze into the shower as the door faced the toilet (a very big person would struggle to fit through the gap). Also had to ask for extra toilet paper as no spare rolls were in the room!! All of the staff were most friendly and professional, and the tour officer organised for us to join a terrific group tour at a great price. All up really enjoyed our quiet retreat at the Sapa View Hotel and would recommend it.

Best place to stay in Sapa”
The Sapa View Hotel was perfect for our stay in Sapa. It has the best location with access to best views and Sapa town centre but a little quieter area. Fantastic rooms, and the most friendly and helpful staff. We checked out other hotels, but this remains our first choice.

Friendly, clean and welcoming”
Although the weather we experienced was challenging; temps down to 3c and 100% mist, the Sapa View Hotel was a really warm, welcoming place. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the room was well equipped and clean. It's position is ideal to tour both the town and the outlying villages.

Decent Hotel in a great part of Sapa”
This hotel was located in a great part of Sapa. It was quiet and had spectacular views of the valley. The staff here was not extremely helpful, but part of it was because of the language barrier. The rooms were spacious and cosy. The room we stayed in had a nice bathroom with a separate shower, but not all rooms have the shower separated from the rest of the bathroom. We slept well in the comfy beds. It was cold in the morning, but that was mostly due to the power going out. There are fireplaces in each room, but they had run out of wood while we were there. Each bed did have an electric blanket though. Overall it was a great stay and it was nice that they held our bags for us while we were out trekking after we had to check out.

Nice hotel with fantastic view”
sapa view hotel is a couple of hundred meters down the road from the busy main street just a minute's walk from bamboo in the direction of the valley. very quiet location. rooms are contemporary style, wooden interior, very tastefully done. small but very nice bathroom. all very clean and tidy. staff is friendly and helpful although somewhat young and unexperienced. breakfast is only so-so, but that goes for most of the food in sapa... it's not a gourmet destination. highly recommended!

Nice & Big room, fully amenity”
the receptionist staff take care customers very well, the room is nice and quite big. we decided to upgrade the room to be deluxe room but unfortunately we did not see the mountain view because of cloudy fog. they also very well operate bus transfer from sapa to laocai and help us manage train ticket to hanoi. we're very impress.

Ideal hotel for our needs, with very helpful staff”
We had a room on the second floor and friends had one on the third floor; both had fantastic views of the mountains. Being just a short walk out of the main tourist part of Sapa, it was a bit more relaxing.

modest rooms with fantastic views”
we arrived in the morning at about 8am after our train/minivan journey from hanoi, and was given early check-in as requested by email (chargeable). after a friendly conversation at the reception, we were given a free upgrade to their top-level suite which boasts spectacular views from two separate balconies and a personal fireplace. there are no lifts in this building, so be prepared to climb a good 5 levels if you decide to take these rooms. rooms were clean and of reasonable standard with a safe and lcd tv. only downsides are the squeaky bed, firm mattress and low quality taps that went from cold to steaming hot. at night, hotel staff also gave us a complimentary firewood for fire in our personal fireplace. food from the restaurant on ground floor was good and kitchen staff were happy to bring us room service despite the 5 level climb. overall, we found the stay a pleasant one, with warm service and an eagerness to please. when it came to tour bookings however, we did not have such a good experience. we booked our fansipan climb from the hotel reception, which claimed to not take a cut from the tour agent. we later found out that this was not the case and we were over-charged. on our last evening in sapa, we had missed our overnight train to hanoi and with time running out, we asked if we could book our train tickets at the hotel reception. the lady boss of the hotel called up her contact at the train station and we were told that it is possible but will cost us usd 40 per person. thinking that it is a reasonable price for a tourist carriage, and we had no other choice, we went ahead with it. once at the train station, we found that we were given economy a/c sleeper instead of one on a tourist carriage. for usd 40 per person, it is hard to think that we have not been scammed. (i must add that it is also our own fault for not clarifying. we also can't be sure if it is indeed the doing of the hotel staff, or that of the tourist carriage office at the train station.)

Fantastic view”
This small hotel is in a great location and close to the town centre. The view from the balcony is truly amazing! Our room was clean and tidy.We received a free upgrade which was really appreciated. The staff were very friendly and helped arrange tours without any hassles. The breakfast area had been refurbished and looked good - large variety of food available. Staff did remind you to close windows on nightfall to keep any insects out. The best part of staying at this hotel was the view. It was also great not to have to use air-conditioning for a couple of days - pleasant to sleep at night and then wake up to the amazing view the next morning.

Best view in Sapa if there is no mist”
We booked this hotel because of the view across the valley to Vietnam's highest mountain. However, the 3 days we were there it was thick mist nearly all the time (October). We were on the top (5th) floor and the hotel did check that was OK with us as they do not have elevators. The rooms are mostly wooden furniture and decor, quite small, but adequate. A real plus was a wood fire in the corner of the room which dried off our wet clothes and made it cosy. The showers are difficult to get into and out of if you are a large person and I struggled to maintain an acceptable temperature. The buffet breakfast was adequate but we had to keep asking for items when they ran out and they did not always have more, including coffee and tea. It seemed as if the staff put out the minimum each time and were surprised when it all went. Having said that, they were very friendly and helpful. It is a short walk out of the town of Sapa, less than 5 minutes.
