Random Acts of Kindness”

From our arrival at this hotel until the final steps out of it, the staff at Sapa Unique provided some of the finest service we have received in SE Asia. The only thing I can think of to describe our experience at Sapa Unique is that there staff seemed intent on giving random acts of kindness to their customers. The views from the rooms were reason enough to stay at the hotel, looking off to the right at forested mountains appearing and disappearing in the clouds. If that's not enough, walk into a room where rose petals are scattered across the beds and bathroom. The rooms are spacious and clean, and have a cultural feel to them.There is a balcony off the rooms with a small table and two chairs to enjoy tea or coffee, made from the hot water heater included in the room, and stare off into the morphing clouds hanging between mountains. A breakfast menu of your choice, not a buffet style, is given for free, along with delicious ginger honey tea to warm your insides on cool foggy mornings. But the real reason to stay here are the guys who work at the reception, who are some of the nicest people you'll come across on your travels. Their hospitality is genuine and authentic, not done in the name of getting something in return. Don't be surprised if you are offered juice and tea each time you walk in, or gifted bananas for a little snack. Also, if someone knocks on your door during the evening to drop off some fruit or dessert, even though you didn't ask for it, don't be alarmed; it's just how they roll. If they send you off with a free sandwich and water for your long night train journey even though you didn't put in an order, you probably will shake your head in disbelief at first with yet another random act of kindness. Then, you'll quickly laugh at yourself for expecting something different from the staff at Sapa Unique Hotel. Hands down, 100% recommendation!

Excellent... Just excellent”

Checked into Sapa Unique Hotel with my boyfriend on 19 October 2014 after the train ride to Sa Pa. Had to wait for our Deluxe room (Room 608 was great) but it was worth it. We finally got our rooms at 12 when the official check in time is 2pm. Good job Nam for getting the room quickly and the cups of tea during our short wait. Room and toilet was clean. Balcony faced Sapa valley, the view was truly great! Free Wifi is available every floor and with quite decent speed. Cable tv is also available for those rest times in between treks. Amenities aside, the gold of this place is the impeccable service standards. With Nam and Viet running the show, our arrangements for treks, transfers to Lao Cai and the recommendations for local businesses such as restaurants were good. There were surprises for us when we came back tired after a days trek. They served us ginver tea... on the balcony! Oh, did I mention the suppers they made for us, even when we came back after the kitchen was closed for the day? They fired up the kitchen just to make us a banana supper! The icing on the cake was when the desk clerk brought us a sandwich and banana treat for our journey back to Ha Noi after the great 3 nights spent in their care. Sapa is a great place. Sapa Unique Hotel makes it even better.

An amazing hotel that everyone should stay when you visit Sapa ”

I've just had an amazing 5-night stay in Sapa Unique Hotel. Hotel location is convenient for walking up and down to Sapa center and Cat Cat Village. Daily breakfast either buffet or a la carte was absolutely good. Room was clean, spacious with full amenities and nice city view. Room rate was also competitive. All staff were knowledgeable about Sapa, supported us with services beyond expectations. They were customer-oriented and very friendly. Mr. Viet was so awesome. He has offered us flexible check-in and out time that I've never seen in my traveling life. Prior to my arrival, Mr. Khanh has replied some of my requirements promptly and patiently. Just a small note that, if possible, they should install an exhausted fan in bathroom to prevent smell. It's not a big issue actually. Truly a value for money stay... Go go Mr. Viet and Mr. Khanh.

If there is any one person who did not enjoy their stay in Sapa Unique Hotel, I dare say they must be really unreasonable/difficult. service is simply out of this world. This is the first time I have ever encountered such excellent service rendered to me out of the many times I have visited Vietnam. They treat their guests probably like how a Mother would treat her children. We felt extremely well taken care of and it felt closer than home itself! Location was excellent, Room was big and spacious, very good value for money (unless you are expecting 5 star Loccitane amenities or 2000 threadcount satin bedsheets, then Sapa is not for you). But I high recommend this hotel in Sapa anytime. I am an extremely fussy person and get really irritated at the slightest things but this stay really amazed me. Well, my only complaint is... at night if you open the windows, there will be moths/ flies that come into the room. But not a problem - just turn on the A/C. Make sure you book trekking tours with them as their recommendation (on everything) is excellent and well suited to your every needs. Also, they prepared food for us to take on the train. We were so extremely touched by this small gesture! If you are intending to do any tours in Halong Bay, feel free to email them and enquire as they also own a Travel Agency. What really made me happy was... when I offered tips for carrying our heavy lugguage up 2 stories, he told us: "Your Happiness is our Biggest Tips". Shocking for this to happen in Vietnam I dare say. So all in all peeps, book your Hanoi tours with them! We will be back.

COMFORTABLE, LUXURY, CHEAP, PERFECT”

I never got a perfect hotel like Sapa Unique Hotel. They let us check in at 06.30 am this is very early check in, the room very luxuxy it's like 4/5 star hotel, very big, very clean, bath room very clean & looks luxury, the most I like is the bed very comfy I feel like I want to sleep all day lol....they provide AC included heater very useful. all staf, manager and owner very kind, care and helpfull to us, we got accident in Sapa, our motorbike was locked and can't open by duplicate key so I came back to hotel and ask the manager & owner to help us to talk with the motorbike owner, yes they did, it solved, i'm very gratefull to them. We late check out, I thought they will charges for the late check out (2 hours late), but they say it's free. last time when our travel car pick up they bring us some snacks and mineral water. all tourists should choose this hotel when you come to Sapa. Very near to everywhere from the main city.

A wonderful time at Sapa Unique”

We've had a great time staying at Sapa Unique Hotel. The room was spacious and tidy. The location was perfect, very near to the town centre with a great view from the balcony. Above all, the staff made it special for us, catering to all of our requests, from having a room to rest and clean up before our check in time to cooking chicken porridge for our baby at our request. Booked cars with the hotel as well for our 2 trips to faraway locations and the drivers were careful and on time :) They also had a special Sapa chilli sauce we loved so much that we asked to buy from them to bring back coz it was very tasty and nice. Our whole family enjoyed the trip and our stay at the hotel tremendously and would recommend it to anyone who's going to visit Sapa. The only drawback would be the in-room wifi, although the signal showed full strength it was difficult at times to access the internet. Overall, Sapa Unique Hotel made our trip in Sapa :)

Mountain view”

This hotel is located near to the Sapa station for tram (if you taking the Muong Hoa tram to Fansipan). On a weekend, they serve buffet breakfast but on a weekday, you order two breakfast ala carte from the menu. I got the mountain view and it did not disappoint. Good location near to a good restaurant (Good Morning Cafe, I think). Owner was kind to open another room for my friend to shower after our half day trek although we checked out earlier. That's customer oriented. And the price for half day trek by Sapa Unique Hotel is 15USD/person or 350,000VND. Cheaper than other online websites I saw, both quoted 45USD/person. The heated bed!! 😍 You definitely love those in the cold weather. I really love their welcome drink, ginger and lemongrass tea, that I ordered it for my breakfast.

Best Hotel We Staid At While In Vietnam! ”

My boyfriend and I staid three nights at Sapa Unique Hotel and we absolutely loved it! We arrived early from the night train and because our room wasn't ready were given a place to shower and freshen up and then some suggestions about what to do for the day. It was wonderfully located, with a big comfortable bed and a view overlooking Sapa. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options. The nightly cooking classes were a great addition to the hotel and definitely worth going to. They also brought us a free small dessert to our room every night and packed sandwiches and water for our train back to Hanoi. Above everything it was the small things that made our stay the best we have had in Vietnam. The staff is so incredibly kind and helpful and we felt very at home. Thank you for everything, anyone heading to Sapa should stay here!

Great place to stay”

This was a great place to stay. We arrived early & were able to check in 1/2 hour later. It was very cold when we were in Sapa. The host turned the heat on in the room & also turned on the mattress heater. Omg....what a treat to climb into a warm bed! We had breakfast thêre 3 days in a row. The server was very sweet. The pho was delicious! The room was clean, the shower was gòod & the bed was comfortable. (Warm, too!) The host was very helpful. He gave us a map & some helpful information for getting atound. We booked a tour (trek), got our laundry done & booked tránport back to the train station, all through the front desk. The hotel is within walking distance of Cat Cat Village. No tour guide is necessary. We would stay at the Sapa Unique Hotel again if we ever return to Sapa.

My friends and I had a great experience staying in Sapa Unique hotel. The hotel is centrally located and close to the main attractions of Sapa and the market. You can take a walk to Cat Cat Village. The hotel offer pick up service from the train station in Laocai in a very reasonable price. On the way back to Laocai we checked out in the morning but wait to get on train in the evening, the hotel offer us a room for daily use till 4pm and even prepared water and snack for our trip to train station!! You can be sure staying there would give you a feeling of stay at home. Thanks to Mr.Viet and Mr.Nam, the hotel owners. I give you perfect 10!!

The owners of Sapa Unique hotel are directly involved in the day to day running of the hotel....we received excellent service from hotel accomodation and food and suggestions of activities. All queries n concern are expediously addressed and resolved. We observed that the Staff are happy and work together well with their employer. We enjoyed the lunch so much on the first day that we also have dinner at the hotel during our 2 nights stay. Although we have to check out at 11.0am today, we are grateful to get a relief room till the 3pm when the transport bus arrived to take us to Hanoi. On a side note, it is not a good time to visit Sapa because of bad weather conditions.. Raining days on winter months are very foggy and misty with muddy and sleepy terrain.

Lovely boutique hotel with excellent staff”

My stay in Sapa Unique hotel was a wonderful experience. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was outstanding! The hotel offers cooking classes, which are great fun. Food for breakfast and dinner was of good quality. The hotel and its surroundings are quiet and the view from the room breathtaking. It takes around a 5 - 10 minutes walk to the center of Sapa. This hotel is highly recommended for both business and holiday travelers, including families with children. I will certainly come back with my family.

Paradise in the mountains”

We really liked our stay at Unique Hotel. Viet and all the staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms had everything and were comfortable and clean. Beautiful waterfalls to see, easy to get there by scooter, lots of lovely walks including Dragon mountain (behind church on hill), this is a must as the view over Sapa town is incredible and when all flowers blooming it would be stunning. A huge highlight was our visit to Lao Chai village with H'mong people, they cooked us lunch and we met all the family, they are beautiful people and live so simply. We had lovely breakfasts at hotel, but enjoyed trying different restaurants in Sapa town for our dinners. We would stay at Unique Hotel again, the view from the balcony was gorgeous, perfect for us.

Awesome Hotel with Great Service”

It was a awesome stay at Sapa Unique hotel, great attentive service with a in house new year celebration with free food for all. Try their best to make you feel at home. The room offers a great view of the mountains from the balcony and had heater under the mattress to keep you warm. Location was splendid, walking distance to most things in city. It was a very pleasant surprise that they prepared a bag of two baguettes with eggs, two bottle of drinks for us to bring along on our check out and return trip back to Laocai. I will definitely stay there again if I return to Sapa.

Absolutely superb!”

I have spent two nights at Sapa Unique hotel and it was absolutely marvellous. The room was clean, had balcony with a beautiful view. There was mosquito net and electric blanket which was a nice thing as I travelled in November and it was a bit chilly in the night. The breakfast was delicious.We were treated with a hot ginger tea after coming back from a whole day trekking. Also the staff prepared for us sandwiches and other snacks when leaving to get a bus back to Hanoi.I truly recommend this hotel!Thank you for making my stay in Sapa great experience. Maria

Amazing, definitely stay here!”

We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were so friendly, going above and beyond in everything. They let us check in early and gave us another room to hang out in after check out as our train didn't leave till evening, so we could shower after our waterfall walk (which was lovely and recommended by them) they packed us a surprise free lunch for the train also! They also organised and drove us back to Lao cai from sapa for a third of the price we paid to get to sapa. There is a free cooking class each evening, it was fun and delicious and the chef Is a master fruit carver, so showed us how to carve a few things. Also this hotel is located in the best spot in sapa for mountain views, so lovely! Breakfast was also delicious, I recommend the vegetable omelette. My husband and I are vegetarians, and this was not a problem at all, I ate in the hotel restaurant one night and had delicious veg food, especially the vegetarian spring rolls! I could not recommend this hotel more!

Wonderful staffs”

We had a great experience in Sapa Unique Hotel. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are very clean. Breakfast was good and every guest is asked to select 2 food and 2 drinks each time. We are quite surprised that we were offered a room to clean up and shower 1 day after we checked out from the hotel, after we headed out for an overnight village trek nearby. We would highly recommend anyone going to Sapa to stay at this hotel. It won't disappoint you.

excellent staff”

our stay at sapa unique hotel was excellent. the rooms were not anything special, but had everything you would want during your stay in sapa. what made this stay so memorable was the friendly staff who helped us with all our needs. they drew us a map so we could see the rice paddies ourselves, made excellent food recommendations and even gave us food to go as we left for our night train back to hanoi (something we did not ask for, but were excited to receive).
