Nobody wanted to Leave!”

San Lameer was probably the best holiday we have had in KZN with kids ever! Though the exterior seems a bit run down the inetrior hotel rooms are modern and immaculately clean! This of course is useless because you spend most of your time outside the room enjoying the million activities available on site, including the Private Beach. The restuarant serves a wonderful buffet breakfast. Lunch was an average lunch as can be expected of a hotel but there are many other restuarants yo eat from within the resort (My favourite was the country club). I could write forever about this place but if you have kids it's a must go!

Absolute Bliss”

San Lameer is absolutely beautiful - the landscapes, vegetation, the facilities, sea etc. The hotel has enjoyed a soft refurbishment under the new management, however the service & professionalism has dropped quite substantially. The food is also quite lackluster. The spa is an absolute delight and is always a huge highlight in this getaway.

Jewel between 2 blue flag beaches ”

If walking to a blue flag beach is ideal than you'll love San Lameer. I was happily able to skip the other activities on offer, ie golf and the spa, mountain biking etc since I could have the best of 2 blue flag beaches

Husbands birthday getaway”

I booked at San Lameer originally check in 02 FEB and check out 04 Feb but due to last minute work commitments, I needed to amend our bookings to check in 03 Feb and check out 05 FEB. I contacted the hotel and spoke to Ayanda who was very helpful and changes our booking without any hassles. When we arrived at the hotel, we had a spa booking for 9am. We arrived at 8:45 the staff was ready to welcome us. We registered and they sent us straight to the change rooms to change into our robes. The only complaint I had was that the blue (turquoise) robes are very thick and warm for a summers spa treatment and I tend to feel that for spa's need to have WHITE robes as a cleanliness measure as these items are used repeatedly. When items are white one is able to asses the cleanliness of the items. San Lameer as an establishment requires a fresh coat of paint and new linen as some of these items were dated. Otherwise our stay was pleasant but the food was average for a 4 star etsablishmen

Wonderful getaway close to Durban”

About 1hr45min drive from Durban. Most enjoyable 2 nights to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary . We enjoyed a round of golf , visit to the Spa and walks around the estate . Obliging staff . Breakfast excellent . On site Restaurant food was good and reasonably priced. I would recommend paying a bit extra for a room with a balcony.

A Spolit Birthday Celebration ”

This year 2020 was a milestone year, and as family we always make a big thing on celebrating birthdays by going on a short holiday. San lameer came up as one of the best resorts on the South Coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal. As only the best will do will we booked at San Lameer for a 5day 4 night stay. Being a 4 star rating establishment we expected only the best service unfortunately upon our arrival we found the general state of our rooms were anything less than hygienic. My wife had to spend the first 3hours of our arrival cleaning out shower in the rooms we booked because house keeping were not available. Then we tried to order room service but were told we had to go down to the restaurant and collect ourselves. We complained about the state of the rooms and were told that management would come see us first thing in the morning this never happened. We had to eventually after hours of negotiating with Agoda and numerous phones had to cancel our booking and find other more suitable accommodation.

Stayed here for 7 nights as my daughter playing in golf tournament. We stayed in the hotel in the 2 suites. Very relaxing environment. Beautiful private beach the staff are lovely and carnt do enough for you. The spa is one of the best iv been too and very reasonably priced. Perfect for a relaxing get away.

The food and the hotel was amazing... We just had a bad experience with the shuttles that I book, the booking was for 9 am, but by 9:10 am when I phoned. I was told that he was on his way (the problem was we had a booking at the spa for 10 am... We have to be there 15 min before 10 ..... So I canceled everything. But the owner of the spa insisted to coming and get us. That was about 10:45 by then.... And then the shuttles showed up. Trust me we were not happy at all.

perfect stay in a very secure hotel”

this is the perfect hotel to take a rest.The hotel is in the middle of a golf course and you will feel , like you are in a beautifull park , with lots of monkeys and deers. You walk through the gated propertyv5 min to the private beach and the breakfast is superb.the pool area is also great and internet is working fine.

We had an excellent stay on our honeymoon. There are so many activities in the estate - Golf, fishing, tennis, cricket, volleyball, paddling, canoeing, pools, etc, etc. We had a blast doing all the activities and would highly recommend the estate because that. Negatives were that our shower door leaked very badly, red ants always infesting our eats in the unit and the fishing dam (bass dam) was in a very poor condition. The dam looks polluted and filthy and I doubt anything but barbull are in there.

Already most of my frnds is looking forward to come because of the photos and videos I posted. The plc is btfl clean the food is nice workers are frndly top quality service the activities are exciting. It the best place ive ever been.

very comfortable. staff response was instantaneous and effective. Three things dropped them off the five star rating for me. firstly only one very damaged cushion on the two patio chairs. Two, very large stain om foot stool and three, the TV channel selection was poor

Excellent”

The shower cubicles need some upgrade. water was flowing from under the door. The Steps are tiring, especially as I had a foot operation a couple of months ago. The place is beautiful and has a great ambiance. The manager at the Clubhouse is very very accomodating and prepares delicious meals.

REVIEW ON SAN LAMEER”

the hotel is ideally positioned / nestled within the estate. Quiet and tranquil. the rooms were well maintained and clean and housekeeping good. HOWEVER, the breakfast was not up to standard, poor and distasteful. This definetly needs upgrade. The amenities provided was good (games room / tennis courts / golf course and security)

Hotel has been renovated very nicely and tastefully. Facilities are more than we could ask for. Lovely pool area, great beach access, nice Mashie golf course (and full course) awesome MTB trail - to name just a few that we used.

Great stay”

Wish we could've stayed longer. Only had problems with the wristbands to go to the beach as they had no wristbands when we arrived and could only go to the beach the following day. Everything else was very good

ENJOYABLE STAY AND VALUE FOR MONEY BUT NOT PERFECT”

Although pleasant and enjoyable we did however experience a damp drain/sewage smell in the toilet/shower area obviously coming up from the drain. The rooms are small but very well layed out and staff are efficient but the location is the best thing if you enjoy golf and the beach.
