All these years, I always stay at (conventional) hotel during business trip or personal vacation. Just few years back I try to get alternative and homestay, villas, cottage, bungalow and many other names are my option. They have one thing in common, almost all are used to be a residence, home of a family. In Surabaya, I am glad to find Rumah Kertajaya- this will my absolute choice during visit this city. (Great atmosphere, Great team there)

Overall we really satisfied staying in Rumah Kertajaya. We plan to come again somewhere end of this year.

Old house, with modern interior ”

Pros: It's a house, so it's very comfortable for me. Located near ITS, during May-August you'll meet a lot of new students here, make new friends with parents and students who are new in ITS. Cons : Breakfast is very plain and simple. However, if you just need a cup of coffee and a pair of toast, then this should be enough for you.

It was just so so..worse than I expected”

This place is located in a quiet neighborhood. In fact it was too quiet I felt erry. However, our room king suite was facing the street outside, so I didn't feel comfortable opening the window curtain. I wish all the rooms were facing the garden so I feel more safe (you can get this kind of room with extra price but I thought it was not worth the price) but the room lights and space was ok. But there was loud noise from some kind of machine near the bedside which was very disturbing my sleep. The check in and check out was fast but not very special. I couldn't find any coffee cups in the room so I had to take them from a common kitchen out side which was fine but It would have been nicer if I had a appropriate coffee pot, mugs and plates in the room since there was a mini kitchen set. The sofa bed was really bad for sleeping because it was worn out and not soft to use. Overall, it was just ok but I think it could have been better if I was welcomed with more attentive staffs and services.

Pesan kamar yang side pool. Kamar luas, ada kulkas, microwave, dan teko listrik. Ada juga meja makan. Lemari pakaian besar, dan juga terdapat safe deposit box. Serasa punya kolam sendiri, dari kamar bisa langsung ke kolam renang. Anak-anak suka. Sarapan enak, lengkap.

Lokasi Rumah Kertajaya cukup strategis dekat Kampus ITS Surabaya dan Galaxy Mall. Sarapan pagi cukup memuaskan dan stafnya ramahj dan cepat dalam pelayanannya.

Homey Homestay”

Kamar OK, lokasi sangat dekat dengan ITS jadi kalau cari penginapan untuk sodara yg mau wisuda di ITS sangat cocok disini. Tetapi untuk kamar di lantai 1 banyak sekali nyamuknya, lalu sarapannya agak kecewa karena dikasih nasi kotak dan porsinya pun sedikit sekali. kasian yg sarapan terakhir tidak bisa memilih menu. stafnya agak kurang ramah dan layanan kamarnya agak kurang friendly.

Bermalam di sini serasa spt pulang ke rmh. Tmptnya bersih dan tenang. Walau berada di dlm perumahan tp mudah ditemukan lokasinya. Dekat dr Galaxy Mall dan ITS. Pasti balik lg ke sini klo ke Surabaya.
