Beautiful Viee”
We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful location great view to wake up to. The host cooked is dinner (at a price) the was delicious. We enjoyed the heating blanket in to help keep us warm at night. The warm showers were perfect after hiking all day. Lots of space and clean.

Very welcoming”
This homestay was such a nice place to be. The family is so incredible welcoming and full of smiles. Their place is beautiful and very well located directly on the hiking trail to see the rice terraces. The stay is slightly pricey compared to other homestays around but worth it for sure if you want to treat yourself a bit.

Great locations and great hosts”
We absolutely loved it here! It’s the best accomodation to relax and be one with nature. The view is stunning and you can easily do Trekking on your own. You can see a big waterfall just 2-3 km away, allthough it’s pretty hard to get there. I can absolutely recommend to stay here.

Disappointed - did not stay at the real house.”
I had an unusual stay here, which I think partially accounted for my disappointment. I had booked a private queen, yet when I arrived at the hostel I was informed that all of the rooms were full, and that I would be taken to the Hmong house 2, just a few minutes away which would be “more beautiful” than the original. I agreed and was taken there. Don’t get me wrong, the new house was brand new m and very clean, but not what I had booked or expected to stay. I had wanted to stay at a quaint homestay, instead I was driven off the premises to another house 10 minutes away. There were few guests there and it did not feel like a “homestay” at all. I appreciate the owner picking me up to drive me to the original house for the family dinner, but being so far away felt extremely odd. Again I had wished I experienced a true homestay at the original house instead instead of booking a room under false marketing and then not getting what was expected.

Incredible view and amazing home! We loved our stay here in the rustic homestay.”
You’re tucked away in the quiet of Ta Van village and the Hmong people but seconds from incredible hikes, a bustling market, small cafes and you have breathtaking views on your doorstep. Have a dinner one night at the home stay then be sure to check out the local spots for a bite! We loved the Eco Ta Van Homestay restaurant for example and got a great deal on a huge dinner. Loved our time here, from the vigorous hikes to the traditional Vietnamese massage. What a special experience!

Peaceful and quiet abode”
Hmong house is a little hard to navigate to, but once you reach and settle down, you’ll start to enjoy its location. Our host, Dai, is a hospitable man and welcomed us with open arms. We had 3 meals with the family. A simple lunch consisting of local dishes and a huge hotpot dinner on the first day and crepes and Vietnamese pork noodles for breakfast on the second day morning. The food was enjoyable and tasty. Together with ‘happy water’, it was amazing. We had a tour around Ta Van and Lao Chai villages and padi fields with our local Hmong tour guide, Man. She was really knowledgeable about the local culture and explained the most trivial but interesting facts about the place, from plants that produce indigo blue color for loca clothes to the things that they farm in Sapa. Hmong house room was beautiful and had a really great view. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend Hmong house to travellers!

Exceptional place!”
The homestay is the furthest inside the village but has excellent view overlooking the whole valley. The owner’s family is extremely helpful and friendly. We feel very comfortable during own stay. Ta Van is a small community but essentially a better get away from Sapa. December might not be a good time for visit due to the mist and rain. September would be much nicer. Definitely coming back!

Location is uphill, take some distance from Ta Van center. But the room and view are stunning. You can see rice fields terrace from your room. Owner is very welcome.
