Large hotel/apartment in Medan”
I picked this hotel/apartment for it's size, and the price value. The check-in was a bit slow, but staff were friendly. Room was good (we took the Emerald suite) - one large room with a king bed, and smaller room with a queen bed. It had Two bathrooms, so it was good for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 teen-age kids) The breakfast buffet was adequate, and very Indonesian. They also have an egg station,and the chef makes a good omelet. The only thing...if you like breads...you will be disappointed, they were all cold, and the toaster did not work :( even after telling the staff for 3 days, it was not fixed :( Overall the whole experience was good, and if I return to Medan, I will pick this hotel :)

Decent Stay for Large Families”
We booked for 3 nights in the Condotel as we were travelling as a family of 5 and required 3 bedrooms. The room configuration was great but the furnishing and details within the rooms has seen better days. One example is the water heater in the shared bathroom gives off a 'machine-gun' like echo sound when someone is showering in it. As for the water spray at the toilet cubicle, the shared 2 single beds room wall is so thin, anyone in that room can hear what's happening in the bathroom as each spray will also release an echo sound. The wallpapers look awfully dated and were mismatched/peeling and the kitchen utensils & living room sofa also are stained and dirty - we did not dare to use either. The plus point is that there is a water dispenser with at least 10L of drinking water available so that is helpful. A decent stay for a large family who have budget options but will require one to lower their expectations more if they have a high expectations.

Hotel is great, but not for his staff! Please train the cafe staff to be more proffesional. ”
Hotel is great. I was planning to celebrate my birthday in Royal cafe at 21 April. A week before the date, I've been going to Royal Cafe and make reservation, also make order lunch package for 12 person, i've tell the staff so clearly which package I want to purchase. The staff ask for my phone number, but never call me for a week. At 21 April morning, I call the hotel and asking to talk with cafe staff, to confirm my order, I tell again what package I order, how many person, how much budget and price with I say before. At the day I wait, everything is very very sucks and make me shy. The staff give me wrong package which more expensive, and asked me to pay more. The staff also tell me, they make package for 15 person, not 12, (my guest are 11). The staff come to my table, tell me that I'm not pay enough, and say that all, in front of all my friends which sit same table with me. what do u think my feeling at that time? please training again the staff!

Stayed one night for family of five in a three-bedroom unit. Check in was smooth. Basic 3 star hotel standard breakfast with bread, fried noodle, fried rice, Nasi Lemak and some vege. About 1km walk to Sun Plaza and Merdeka Walk. Plenty of street food nearby (in front of Columbia Asia Hospital). More restaurants with great food near Jl. Ahmah Yani. Walking distance to Tip Top Restaurant (highly rated budget meals) and Soto Kesawan. Swimming pool and gym available but we were not in time to use it. Overall quite satisfactory with the condotel.

I was surprised to get two rooms... they also gave us an extra free meal due to ramadhan and I felt that the staff were use to a range of travellers.. so when we came in messy, they still treated us with respect. I enjoyed it there. The area is quite old and you can have an interesting walk.

not bad in total. Staff friendly, but room lack of clean as we find few small cockroach in somewhere around bedroom, living room and kitchen. The bedcover a little bit dusty and not white enough as like in hotel. Facilities : lack of hanging towels, no clothmatt on the kitchen when washing become wet everywhere.

Room 802 - Emerald, full of cockroaches. Hope that the hotel will do something about it. Plus, the master toilet is always wet whenever taking shower. Overall its a nice pleasant stay!

Unfriendly staff and pathetic breakfast portion”
The staffs here are totally not friendly at all when we request for extra pillow and towel..he mentioned extra charges will be applied which is totally different from what we were informed during check in session. Extra towel was given if you gave him some tips. besides,we request for breakfast box before we rush to airport for departure. Then we found out only plain white breads were given to us,which is totally unacceptable.
