An excellent experience in Hoi An”

We recently spent three nights at the Royal Riverside Hoi An Hotel and enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was professional, very friendly, and had excellent English skills. They gave us good suggestions on how to spend time and booked a very nice half day trip to see the ruins of My Son. The location is about five minute walk from the Japanese Covered Bridge and the beginning of the walking/tourist district, close enough for convenience yet far enough for some peace and quiet. The room was very nice, modern bathroom, clean, great wifi reception. The breakfast buffet was very good with a variety of western and Asian choices. The staff of a hotel really makes the most important difference in my experience, and the staff at the Royal Riverside is wonderful. As mentioned, their English skills are very good, and to our surprise one speaks Thai quite well, one of our family languages. I recommend this location highly.

The Royal Riverside Hotel by far exceeded my expectations! Everyone was so nice as soon as I stepped out of the taxi! The hotel appears new and is absolutely spotless & gorgeous! Chau checked me in & was so genuinely nice, professional, answered all of my questions and gave me some great tips on Hoi An seeing that it was my first time visiting. Hue went the extra mile by checking with me at breakfast every morning & as I exited the hotel, to see how may stay was going. She too gave me some great local tips & was so genuinely caring & nice. The complimentary breakfast was sensational!! Oh & the room was incredible!! I enjoyed the spaciousness if it, all of the thoughtful conveniences & I especially loved the single standing bathtub!! How relaxing to soak after a full day of exploring. The complimentary bicycles were a plus too & much appreciated. Royal Riverside Hotel in Hoi An gets a 5 Star+++ from me & I highly recommended it!!

Staff were the difference!”

The location, facility, location (quiet yet close to old town), amazing room (508), breakfast and free bikes were all top notch! However the staff at this hotel are what sets this place apart...they are amazing!! Always welcoming and helpful, yet never intrusive. Greeted me by name with a smile every time. There are plenty of nice places to stay in Hoi An but the people are what make a place feel like home. Thanks to all the amazing people at the Royal Riverside, but especially to Huong, Hahn, and Nhan. I will be back and I hope the staff will remain. Very good room with excellent staff”

Over the years I visited Hoi An many times. This was the first time that I stayed at the Royal Riverside and with zero regrets. From the moment of entering until the last minute it was a true pleasure. A warm welcome upon arrival and throughout the entire stay the staff were amazing. You didn't feel like "just another customer". The hotel is located in a quiet area and has a pool and is a walking distance from Hoi An center.

Great quality with optimal price”

My trip was taken place from 12 Jun - 15 Jun 15 from Dannag - Hoi An - Hue. and I chose this hotel to stay in Hoi An. When I arrived the hotel, the receptionist welcome me with a glass of fruit juice and cool tissue which I'm quite impressed. Then when she took me to my room, It a room at the corner where you can have a harmonized view with river on front of your balcony. I think the room at the corner with riverview is the best position. Furthermore, the hotel also offer many add-in service which is also totally free of charge (i.e. bike, shuttle bus to An Bang beach.) The friendly staff is a plus for this hotel. Just leave your request and then they will help you supportively. Best hotel with a reasonable price. I will stay in this hotel for the next trip in Hoi An.

Wonderful hotel with outstanding staff”

We got to royal riverside after a tiring day, and what we experienced on arrival was exactly what 2 tired travellers needed. First impressions were of friendly and professional staff and a beautiful lobby. We were then given a run down of the hotel facilities and services by one of the delightful reception staff Sen. We were happy to discover the hotel had a pool, bikes to borrow and a car service to the beach. We were able to check in early and was then shown to our room which was very modern , clean and had a great bathroom with a big bath. The breakfast was awesome offerring a great variety of food options and smiling waitstaff. The highlight though was the staff, who were so welcoming, caring and friendly, it made such a difference to our stay and we would definitely come again. In particular we would like to mention 3 reception staff that went out of their way to help us, Sen, Tien and Hiep, they were all outstanding.

We travelled to Hoi An for the first time with our 2 month old baby. The staff at the hotel were all very attentive and super friendly. They were eager to help out and give recommendations. Our room was immaculate, had great views and was very good value for money. Hue, Na and the rest of the team welcomed us and made us feel at home. The hotel offers a free shuttle service, which made travelling to and from the beach very easy with a baby. Once at the beach, you can stay on their sister restaurant's sun loungers and umbrellas for free. The menu at the beach was varied and affordable, which was an added bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in and around Hoi An. Thank you Very much! We look forward to coming back one day :) Gaia, Mark and little Marina

Amazing... Will recommend and definitely go back”

From checking in to checking out, our stay was an absolute pleasure. We had notified the hotel that we wouldn't be checking in until late and when we arrived (very hungry!) there were no restaurants open.. To our surprise, the hotel had prepared some sandwiches and delivered them to our room as we arrived! Breakfast was great and the whole hotel was immaculate with some of the friendliest staff we have ever encountered. The hotel had only been open for 1 week when we stayed and the staff are very keen to impress. We were there for our honeymoon and we're treated with additional perks during our stay. We were also given a gift when we checked out which was a thoughtful touch. We loved Hoi An and wouldn't stay anywhere else, we have already recommended to 2 more couples since our stay because we were so impressed. Well done guys, keep up the good work and I'm sure you will top the ratings!

Amazing hotel, with friendly staff and great facilities.”

The airport pick up, albeit a higher price versus other quotes, offers free wifi in the vehicle - just what we needed after a 12 hour sleeper train! Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted by name and given maps and recommendations which were all really helpful. Our check-in was not until 2pm however we arrived at the hotel at 8am - they looked after our bags and offered us the complementary shuttle bus to An Bang beach. Once checked in, we went down to the pool - which was phenomenal. It was tranquil with sun loungers embedded in the shallows of the pool and in the evening it has ambient lighting. Our stay that night was comfortable. The second day we signed up for the cookery class - it was, again, more pricey than some other reviews however I feel this was well worth the money. We did a cycle tour to the vegetable village where we were able to talk to the farmers, water the crops and it was an amazing, authentic experience. After a brief stop at the market we returned and began our cookery class. The chef was great and the food was delicious and satisfying! Phang was so enthused and willing to take pictures and really wanted to "capture the moment" for us. That evening we headed out - an easy 10 minute walk to the night market. One slight observation we had during our stay here was that they are sticklers for the rules; we wanted to order a drink at 6:05pm after our cookery class and we weren't given happy hour drinks (even though the bar was empty) furthermore, when we checked out there was an unfortunate experience whereby the umbrella from our room which we left in the hotel entrance was misplaced over night. We were asked to pay for the umbrella (even though it would've been somewhere around the hotel). This slightly dampened our otherwise excellent experience.

Perfect hotel and location!”

Really enjoyed my stay at the Royal Riverside. Short 5 min walk along the water to downtown. My room was clean, roomy and everything was perfect. The staff were the icing on the cake! Will definitely return when in Hoi An.

I spent one week in this hotel as a solo traveller to relax. Hoi An is a great destination for people who want to escape the cities and enjoy a peaceful experience while being immersed in Vietnamese culture. Throughout my entire stay the staff were friendly and helpful. I was out during most days, but in the afternoons and evenings Tham and Suong were of great assistance. One example is when I enquired about a suitable food to bring home for my girlfriend to try and they recommended me a good local treat. The hotel is located a short walk away from the Old Town and Night Markets (there is a shuttle bus available for those who may have difficulty walking). The hotel is also situated very close a number of small shops and restaurants The rooms are well appointed, clean, and contain everything a traveller should expect. Daily breakfast featured a range of cuisines (Western, Vietnamese, Chinese). The restaurant serves food in both Western and Vietnamese style.

Great reception staff”

I loved Hoi an and enjoyed very much to have chosen this hotel, beautiful room , all staff does everything to please the guests , specially the reception staff, they deal with all my needs so smooth , car transfer , you can use their bicycles for free , reallly nice to explore Hoi an and go to the beach , breakfast very good , so overall, great example of hospitality , thanks

Easy walk to old town & Excellent staff”

Easy walk to old town. Huge comfortable bed, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Bonus of Royal Riverside gave an extra key to run the room air conditioning while we were gone - most hotels you had to plug in your room key to run power to room.

BEST STAY of our HOLIDAY”

From the start to finish our 3 nights at the Royal Riverside were the best of our entire trip. THE friendliest and most helpful staff that we have encountered was the perfect foil to a beautiful, clean, new, and modern room overlooking the river.. Excellent pool, good breakfast. Would recommend to anyone without hesitation.

Good hotel for trip to Hoi An”

Located at about 500m from the old town, the hotel is very good for travelers to Hoi An city. The hotel comes with a nice pool, very friendly staff and clean room. There's nothing better than having breakfast outdoor. You may visit the old town, have dinner, see the beautiful lanterns and go back to hotel, have a nice bath and go to sleep. BTW: Their airport/train station/Danang city transfer service is available at 19USD/way/4seat. It's a pity I got their message too late that I already book a taxi more expensive than this.

Lovely hotel”

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel very much. Our room is the Deluxe Water Room. It is equipped with couch, nice bathtub. The window and balcony are overlooking to Thu Bon River which offers quite peaceful feeling. Although there's not much choice for buffet breakfast but the food was good. Bicycle is offered for free, Hoi An is quite small so it's easy to walk around the town or cycle to the beach or surrounding villages. Shuttle bus to An Bang Beach is offered for free as well.

Lovely retreat from Hoi An”

The staff at the hotel are incredibly friendly and helpful. Our bed was gigantic and the room was spotless and nicely decorated. We had a lovely view out to the river and it was a lovely retreat from the busy town. For us it could do with being a block closer to Hoi An, there isn't much shade and even a 15 min walk we ended up a sweaty mess. Also a little too far to dip in and out of Hoi An during the day. Sadly the pool was out of order due to poor hygiene during our stay but we were able to use next door hotel pool which was actually bigger and better so we didn't mind. The pool area needed some repair and maintenance, there were missing tiles and leaks which let the hotel down compared to elsewhere. The drinks (including bottles of water) were a little too pricey so we avoided using the bar.

the room was super spacious, they gave us a free upgrade, clean and neat, location was not very far from hoi an ancient old town, about 5 mins away by bicycle (also provided for free) but quiet at the same time, breakfast was a decent spread, hotel staff Dwyen and Na (not sure if i got their names right) were super friendly and provided great service. overall memorable experience in Hoi An!
