Saigon”

The Kimdo Royal City Hotel is in the city centre of Ho Chi Minh, Saigon. Its located near the bus and railway stations and is easy to get around by a taxi as well. There is a market near by called Ben Thanh and is great place to buy cloths, bags, shoes ect.. Overall the hotel service was fantastic and the rooms looked nice and clean and room service was available 24hours making it easy to arrange for food. saigon is a beautiful place to visit.

Brand New Hotel at the Heart of the City”

i booked a premium de-luxe room at this hotel as part of agoda's hot deal and i did not regret my decision. this 4-star hotel is strategically located in the posh area of ho chi minh city. as far as the facilities are concerned we have no complaints. rooms are big and spacious and beautifully decorated. the lobby is big and the swimming pool offers some privacy. the buffet breakfast at boulevard restaurant is excellent but worth mentioning is the warm and friendly service of all the restaurant staff especially the manager on duty. at only room for improvement is the front desk or reception staff other than miss anh. the lady on duty when we checked-in does not know how to smile. she is simply too cold and has no warm welcome to arriving guests. i have made my comments to the general manager on the form i found inside the room (i just hope he reads it).

Very central hotel with good value for money”

stayed in this hotel after i have been to rex hotel before which is iconic in ho chi minh city with long history. but this one here is much better value for money: rooms were clean, hotel staff nice and helpful, it is just 50m away from rex hotel (which is center of hcmc district 1) and overall... very good. only downsides were the room's view (opposite building) and that the taxi drivers do not know it. old name was changed, helps to remember that - or ask drivers to go to rex hotel.

Perfectly located for downtown HCMC”

The Kim Do Royal City Hotel has been a favorite of mine for years. Centrally located on Nguyen Hue street, right in the excitement of the downtown area of Ho Chi Minh City. This location provides lots of walking opportunities to parks, shopping, great restaurants and all at a reasonable price. The Kim Do is not a five star hotel, but neither is the price. Their breakfast buffet is very nice and so is the service. Always ready to serve, waive down reliable taxis (do watch the taxi service in HCMC) and help you with your luggage without asking. This smallish hotel is currently renovating to add a small cafe on the right hand side of the hotel lobby, a welcome addition. They also have a lobby bar that offers sophisticated cocktails and a wide screen tv for your relaxation.

A TRUE CLASSIC HOTEL IN HO CHI MINH CITY”

The Royal Hotel is a true classic hotel in Ho Chi Minh City; actually built only fairly recently, but in a gracious old style; everything about the hotel has class, but still excellent value for money. Ideally located in HCMC, for business and tourism. This hotel should not be missed under any circumstances!!

dependable, comfortable, great location”

the kim do has been my hotel of choice for several years and it has never let me down. this most recent visit, a mistake was made in booking my reservation through agoda and the friendly kim do folks made it right. i miss the bar that used to be a place to read and have a refreshment, but that's ok. rooms are spacious, internet is good and the style is culturally somewhat in the past, which is why i like it. the hotel has character and remains comfortable with real wood furnishings and upgraded tv, etc. a great place to call home in ho chi minh city.

A wonderful room for staying”

it's a 4-star hotel. the room with city-view provide a beautiful scene of ho-chi-minh city and a quiet night. boulevard restaurant in the hotel is also outstanding. the seafoods is really worth to try. this hotel locates at the center of the city. tourist can easily find local foods around the hotel. furthormore, tax shopping mall is just nearby this hotel. this hotel is definitely suggested.

you should try the boulevard restaurant locating in the hotel. all the foods prodived are wonderful with classic vietnam style. all services provided from this hotel are pretty good. the roon is clean. the size of the room is acceptiable. this hotel locates at the central area of ho-chi-minh city. it's close to shopping mall, restaurant and market. tourist can find a taxi easily. this hotel is suggested for business tours.

I will come back if I want to stay in the same area”

I stayed here for 2 nights. I was happy with my room. Room is big enough for sharing, we got twin bed, surprised the bed size is big (so if you travel as couple with 2 kids, twin bed room still good for you). Bed is comfortable, room are clean, specially the floor, I always love wooden floor so it was one of reason I chose this hotel) And one of the best part of hotel is the room is so quite... I could sleep very well (I'm very sensitive with noise) and I love to stay in the room, anytime back from outside I found my peace 🕊 If you are looking for luxury hotel I would like to recommend the hotel opposite Reverie. But be fair which what we pay I'm absolutely happy with Royal hotel. The staffs here are so friendly and always see they look happy.... (What staffs from Reverie should come to learn from them :D) Nguyễn Huệ street is central of central so no one can not complain about the area... If you only have few days in Saigon. Royal is a good choice for you

Friendliest staff in best location”

I stay here more often than any Ho Chi Minh City hotel. The central location is close to my key clients, government and banks. Hotel restaurant and business center are always good, as are many nearby restaurants, coffee shops, bars, shopping, etc. From reception to manager and door men, all treat me like a returning friend.

Lovely hotel a calm in Crazy city of Ho Chi Minh”

lovely hotel, great service and always a lovely smile. Extreemly happy to help and nothing seemed to be over priced. Right in the heart of the city. 5 min walk from Market. Beds comfy in rooms and rooms where extremely clean with a homely feel. Great to unwind from the mayhem of Ho Chi Minh.

Great Hotel”

Stay at Royal Saigon Hotel way exceeded my expectations. Was initially worried after reading some reviews but all my worries were unfounded. Everything from check in to check out was great. Room was very spacious for 3 pax. Full range of channels on TV. Toiletries were complete set. There was even a halal counter for breakfast to my greatest surprise. Location is the best in Saigon. Will definitely stay at Royal Saigon when i return to Saigon.

A Great Place to Stay in Old Saigon”

I really enjoyed my stay at the Royal Hotel Saigon. I thought the location was great and the staff was superb. I've stayed at more luxurious hotels, but I've not stayed for the very reasonable rate that I enjoyed at this one. The price per night was really attractive to me, and I was completely comfortable. I found the attached restaurant to be quite good and I thought the morning breakfast that came with my hotel to be also quite good. All in all, if you are seeking a downtown location within easy walking distance of about 500 restaurants, you should try out this hotel.

old fashioned hotel in a great position”

A good 4* hotel - not sure why not a 5*? - maybe a little tired but a throwback to the good old days of service with a smile. Highly recommended. Ideally situated in the centre of Ho Chi Minh City and close to local shops and the main market. We wouldn't hesiate to stay there again.

Worth the price!”

Ho Chi Minh was worth the trip partly due to the excellent accommodation I experienced at the Royal Kim Do Hotel. The staff are very efficient and the rooms are clean, and I enjoyed the daily breakfast.

Excellent hotel in the City Center”

Hotel has a very attractive design in the rooms. Very delicious breakfast menu. Hotel is located right in the middle of the city center. Good choice for those who want to see Ho Chi Minh City.

Good value, gret location”

we stayed in the royal hotel, saigon for 3 nights in january 2013. when we first arrived we were shown a room with an air conditioning unit directly outside the window so asked to be moved, which the receptionist was able to arrange immediately. this second room was fine and we had no complaints at all. the hotel was really well located and we were able to walk to several of the main attractions, to plenty of restuatants, shops and to the night market. the breakfast was excellent - there was a great choice of food and the dining room was large, clean and bright. on our last day we went to the tunnels in the morning and when we got back to the hotel we still had a couple of hours to spare before our flight. we were able to use the pool and spa area to shower and change and wished we'd had more time during our stay to actually use these facilities properly as they looked really nice.

Welcoming and friendly staff”

The Kimdo Royal City Hotel, was right in the heart of District 1, close to great department stores, 2 shops down is the tax department store, and supermarket, which great to stock up on soda drinks for the hotel fridge. On this strip you are really central to the hydrofoil to Vung Tau and about 15min walk to Ben Thanh market and the Old Market. Great food, great shopping and the bookstore is good too. Within walking distance to great tourist centres, you'll be glad when you come back to Kimdo, they really look after you.

Par Exellence”

Our second stay at this heart of the city property. Nicely captures the essence of Ho Chi Minh. International buffet breakfast is superb for start of day. Staff on all roles are friendly and attentive to duty. Property is dated but the positives far out weigh. We will happily revisit in the future.

Best location, super nice staff, speedy response”

We actually stayed here twice. Royal is smack in the middle of Nguyen Hue street. The triple room is just perfect. We also had a connecting with a huge bed. The style is a bit old but it makes this hotel uniquely Saigon. Our only complain is the old-style bathroom which is tight with no standing shower, so the water usually got everywhere on the floor. Other than that, everything was perfect. Royal was one of the best choices for us in Saigon.
