Comfortable nice friendly hotel”
although quite far from the center of bukittinggi - the jam gadang, the hotel is still within the main township of bukittinggi. most impressive is the hospitality - friendly and very courteous. you can get advice from the staff as to where to get the best bargain for shopping. the room is spacious and clean, food is delicious and the cafe is cozy. you won't hear noises outside at night which will keep you fresh the next day.

Accomodating hotel”
The room is comfortable eventhough it's a bit too dark for my taste. Bathroom is working and hot water is available. Breakfast is not bad even though they could use some improvement (i.e. keep the food warm, etc). Staff is attentive including the receptionist and cleaning service. But if I may add, their manner could be improved a bit since when we took some pictures in the swimming pool, some staff harshly interrogated us, his tone was a bit accusing, confirming whether we are indeed their guest or not. I understand the security aspect, but he surely could use a better tone when asking something, especially to their guests. Their location is easily located in the city center. But considering it's Bukittinggi with not much area to cover, this aspect is given. You can walk to the left to reach Fort De Kock and zoo. Then continue to Pasar Atas and the Big Ben. After that, you can walk to The Hills hotel, climbing down some stairs to reach Taman Panorama. All without any transportation vehicle. Like I said, Bukittinggi is a pretty small city. Keep in mind to use sunblock if you're planning to wander in the afternoon.

Good in its day”
This was once one of the bigger and better hotels in Bukittinggi but there has been a rush of newer hotels with better locations and views and newer facilities. This hotels rooms are upstairs but no lift. It's past its prime and needs a makeover. It's not bad at all but there are better options unless you get a great deal. It's sill okay, good staff etc, a good walk into town, but there are more options now.

not so impressing hotel”
first i booked for superior room, and they gave me a pretty large room with double size bed and no aircon, shower bathroom (which the toilet flush was really hard to pressed, very basic amenities (they didn't provide you with coffee maker), and quite smelly (both bathroom or room entrance area). the next day i upgraded my room to deluxe which heading to the main street (it has better view rather to their pool). but only a bit different between this one to the previous. it has twin single bed, better amenities and furniture, aircon (which not make any difference since it was very not so cold! or might say, it didn't work at all), and the room was smaller than the superior one. the breakfast pretty good where you can taste their local such ketupat sayur (vegetable curry with rice cake). the swimming pool was awful, it was a small pool which open for public. very not comfortable to using it. the front office staff will not greeting you unless you walkin' to them. but the hotel has a good and comfy lobby, which the wifi works pretty good here (but don't expect to get the signal from your room). be frankly, i wouldn't recommend the hotel since it is overpriced with the facilities they gave. and booking directly to the hotel may save some money, especially when they have some offers (such as with flight boarding pass, etc.)

The room size is consider big (For stantard). I like the Breakfast. Since, this 3 star Hotel, hope hotel management can consider to install the air-cond for all type of rooms. For me Bukit tinggi not cool...My family cannot sleep

Close to main attraction”
The greatest thing of this hotel is its location that only a walking distance to Main Attractions such as Jam Gadang, Pasar Atas and Bawah, Zoo, Bung Hatta museum, Fort de Kock, shopping centers, etc. If you take horse wagon ride from Jam Gadang, you will pass this hotel. The building suits to traveller who like old-fashioned cultural hotel.

Plesant Stay”
As a whole, it has been a pleasant stay for my family. However, it would be better if there is more variety of food for breakfast and improvement needed for wifi coverage in guest rooms. As it is, wifi coverage is only available in the hotel lobby area.

The hotel is very comfort and enjoybable. The room is very big and has nice view. Eventhough the superior room has no aircond, the tempreture always cold especially at night. The pool was too cold.

Nice location hotel in Bukit tinggi. ”
This is an old hotel. The room is quite clean but the carpet looks old and dirty, as well as the mattress is too soft. The bathroom needs renovation. In general the hotel is okay with its swimming pool and its good location in town. But may be I will find other hotel next time I visit Bukit tinggi with better quality of rooms.

Disappointing”
The room was not airconditioned but public areas were. Locals left their room doors open to get some cool air and as a result it was very noisy. The place has seen better days. Staff hardly speak English.No maps or tourist information anywhere in the hotel (though this seems fairly typical of Indonesian hotels generally).

we were woken up by guest banging on our doors to break fast hotel allows their guest to smoke in the hotel and sitting area on the floors - smoke smell went into our rooms and we could sleep wifi was only available in certain area of the lobby

old hotel that needs a lot of improvement”
The hotel located in a strategic location, near a hospital and lots of food stalls at night. It's also not far from the city's famous spot, like "Jam Gadang" with public transport just right in front of the hotel. I think it used to be a very nice hotel, but it's old now and needs a lot of renovation and improvement on the service, especially breakfast. The food's not bad, but can be better.
