Great location, good hotel BUT ..”

The hotel location is very convenient. Rooms are decent. Reception were helpful, breakfast was decent and tasty and housekeeping did a good job with the daily cleaning. If you are here to party, you will not be bothered with the nightly music blasting from the numerous pubs and bars slightly down the road. The room window blocked out like 70% of the loud music sounds. Now the BUT, not related to the hotel but HCMC. Motorcyclist are everywhere and the area between the walking path and the road is narrow, thus snatch thieves on motorbikes are very common. I was one of the unlucky victim. My mobile was snatched right out from my hand eventhough I was not standing at the edge of the road. When I arrived to make a police report for insurance claiming, there were a lady with deep bruises on a side of her face from forehead to chin, blue black and swollen. Her neck has a deep red line bruised. She said her sling bag was snatched and she fell and was dragged a few steps. A vietnamese lady was there and she said her bag was snatched as she was walking. She even added that she was careful being a local as she is well aware of snatched thieves, yet, her bag was snatched. A young girl and another couple, were there and they said their bag were snatched. In summary, be EXTREMELY careful (I was only careful) and if you are undecided if you should visit this country or not, let me suggest to you to NOT come.

The room was in a good condition. The hotel is direct on at the party street. It‘s very loud, but if you‘re a arty animal it‘ll be the right place. Stuff aren‘t very friendly. But they‘re doing their job.

Good value for money”

The location is good if your into the nightlife and partying otherwise the music doesn’t stop until about 4.30am and was very loud from our room (even with ear plugs in), however they kindly upgraded us to a room with a window. Also there was a lot of small ants mainly in our bathroom but some in our bedroom by bedside table which wasn’t nice. Guests also loved to slam their doors at silly time in the morning. Concierge man was really nice. Breakfast was standard kind of expected more.

Pros: Located in the heart of backpacker area Good rates for room Clean room Staff conversant in english Complimentary basic breakfast Cons: The night clubs especially beside the hotel and opposite the hotel blast the bass throughout late night. So strong the hotel walls vibrates. Couldnt sleep throughout the night.

Location very central. Wifi good. Breakfast average. Room small, bathroom tiny 4 feet, wide your knees hit the wall sitting on the toilet.

The hotel is exactly in the middle of the a street which is a walking and party street from 7 pm until morning with loud music. Our room does not have a window and the water came out from the shower during the useage. The window is not a problem because if a room has a window, then it is more noisy.

This hotel is one of the worst I have stayed at. Cockroaches in the bathroom and staff are of no help. I was so glad to leave!!!

Paid for Hotel stayed at Guest House ”

I paid 3 nights with Agoda for Family City View (2 rooms). But when our group arrived the hotel at 2pm, we were told we had to stay at their partner hotel for 1 night since only one Family City View room was available. Well, I paid using my credit card already. We were brought to nearby hotel (as tiny as hostel). We had no choice but to stay at that tiny and hot rooms. Even everything came back to normal (as in booking details) on the second night, we were soooo disappointed! We paid for Big hotel rooms but we were put to stay at tiny hotel (so-called hotel) for 1 night. Reasonable?? And the lady (front desk staff) who told us there was no room for us to stay on the first night, told us to go to nearby hotel like we were begging them for a room. She said sorry once without looking guilty at all. There was problem with their staffs' manner.
