I really like staying at Romlan. The room is clean, the view is awesome as we can lie down on the chair and feel the wind from Toba Lake. The food in the guesthouse is awesom with reasonable price. The staff named Rahmat is very nice. We rent the motorbike and also pay for him to ride us to every places in Samosir. He took us to nice places even they are not included in the schedule, let us try very good food. He even waked up early to take us to the ferry without any charges. Recommend you guys to stay here.

Everything was great. There is a friendly vibe, the rooms are clean and the beach bungalows have a nice traditional style. Especially the food is so good, many vegetarian options and every meal you order is made with love and tender. The free kayaks is a plus too. Few rooms need a bit of maintenance though.

Favorite on Toba”
My fifth trip to beautiful Lake Toba, and this is easily the best place I've stayed. Great mattress, wonderful views, hot water, lots of plants, and the food--I feel like I'm in heaven. All fresh, natural ingredients, homemade happiness, great prices, served with smiles. Its not just the best place to stay, its also the best place to eat. Enjoy!

Plus 1. Very affordable rate 2. Very clean 3. Very good location 4. Wifi okay 5. Very friendly and helpful staff Minus No car park You park your car in their neighbor's place which has very steep access road and you also have to pay extra money . Front office is open at 7 so book rooms excluding breakfast (as I unintentionally did) if you want to catch the 7 o'clock ferry. Despite the low room rate , they manage to render you all the pluses above. Bravo

My room has the most spectacular view facing the lake. You can use the kayak for free. You can dip your body in the lake. The lake is so clear u can see the bottom. Bike rent was 100k idr per day. Near to jetty (approx 300m) to catch the earliest boat ride to parapat. But you can always opt for a boat pickup in front if the hotel. Wifi connection was very fast. Staff was friendly. The room has no fan nor aircond but the weather was chill so no fan needed. Bear in mind there was bo tv provided but who needs tv when u have all the view in front of you. One tiny little thing, the downside was fhe hot water. But I'm not complaining. That was nothing compared to the view and the price I paid. Totally recommended. And will surely come again.

An old but well maintained guesthouse. Tasty food at fair price. Quiet environment exactly facing the lake. Free to swim in the lake and free kayaking. Free Wi-Fi in guesthouse compound and hot shower (not reliable) available. However, there is no fan or TV in the room. Just clean and comfortable bed, which is sufficient. Power interruption is frequent on the island. So, always get your power bank charged. Will be perfect if the staff can be more warm and friendly. There was no greetings upon arrival. Smile is rare here. Their staff (Rahmat) and the owner's daughter were good.

Direct ferry ride from parapat to hotel. Overlooking toba lake with nice sunset view and moonlight view at night. Free kayak and nice restaurant with WIFI is within walking distance. Staff speak good english.

Good location and Good Service staff-Rahmat”
Our flight have delayed and checked in quite late, but staff Rahmat is waiting us in front of hotel Jetty and welcome us. He is introduce us tour guide and driver, excellent service. Hotel restaurant food is delicious. In front of room is beautiful lake, really good for rest ur mind. Weather is good, no aircond require. Surrounding for hotel is not much shop, every attractive is far, recommend tour guide or driver.

I had a very nice stay in this hotel. Tell the Agents for Ferry Tickets to inform Ferry Driver to get you dropped at this hotel. I hired a bike which comes along with full tank fuel and did a full tour of Samosir Island, which will take approx 8 hours .
