Comfortable extended stay facility”

We arrived from Japan, following my retirement, and immediately commenced a search for a home to buy. We initially stayed at a Marriott Suites near the airport, but needed to locate an extended stay option that was affordable. This hotel was the cheapest option on Agoda, though it showed as three stars, and the pictures looked good. The external appearance of the hotel is just as it is shown in the photos - a rarity. The rooms are small, but clean, and the staff, to include the erstwhile homeless man they have given a job policing the grounds of the hotel, are all extremely friendly. Owned by an Indian family, it is most evident that they take great pride in their investment, and are investing necessary capital to improve the hotel, and maintain the property. We are now in the second week of our stay here, we have submitted an offer on a home, and are anticipating remaining here for the upcoming four to five weeks until the new home closes.

Just plain bad”

I had speaking engagements in Tampa and brought my wife and young children along. Not knowing the area, I chose the Rodeway Inn because the price indicated a nice hotel with good amenities. First of all, this is a pretty rough area. During our second night there was loud fighting just out side in the courtyard. When we parked and were taking our bags inside, we noticed several young (teens or early 20s) going up to a room that had a pit bull and what appeared to be two bouncers guarding the door. The rooms stank of old cigarette smoke and stale food, and they weren't very clean at all. I'd recommend that you sleep in your car before staying at the Rodeway.

Nice room”

Clean room, friendly staff, close to what we had scheduled to see during our visit. No breakfast available even as website states rooms come with free breakfast, however found coffee and juice only?

Extremely noisy ”

This hotel surprised me a lot because from the pictures and seen it in person it is actually a decent hotel. But once you get there and night time comes it turns into a crazy place. People are fighting and people are yelling at midnight and people were knocking on our room at 2:00 a.m. in the morning. My wife did not feel safe at all and I would not recommend this hotel.

We stayed here only one night so there's nothing to say about it. Room was clean and big enough.

Spend an extra $20 and get a better hotel.”

A much needed update is needed to the rooms. The bathroom door didn't shut at all. The entrance door had a big gap underneath it. We were told there was a shuttle to the cruise port but there wasn't. They told us to go next door to the quality inn for the shuttle and they were going to charge us $30. A taxi was only 15.

Bad area”

This was a pit stop and we were unfamiliar with the area. This was in a very bad part of town. The manager was extremely rude and unhelpful. The desk clerk was very nice. The room seemed to be clean enough but the room was in need of repairs. Spend a little more and stay at a nicer place.

Do not stay here ”

I am a truck driver and stayed one night. I requested a quiet room so I could get some much needed sleep had to be up at 4am. There were people having a party next door until 1am loud music glass bottles breaking asked to move was told no other rooms available there was also kids running around yelling all night at 2am had one beat on my door I got up a kid about 6 or 7 years old asking if his mom was in this room I said no he went in to the next door knocking. As for the room it smelled like mold and ass there was water dripping from the ceiling if I would have had time to go somewhere else I would have but I was to damn tired

Not “pet friendly” just money friendly”

Just don’t do it. I paid nearly DOUBLE for my two small(12 lb) dogs to stay in our room IN CRATES for one night. Beds are uncomfortable and no furniture in the room other than a bed and an office chair that is impossible to sit in comfortably

There were people screaming and slamming doors literally all night. Do not stay here if you actually want to sleep.

Room was ok. But the surroundings and people staying here were very very sketchy. Like I did not feel safe at all.

This is not a vacation destination hotel. The patrons that live here are in transition. I did not feel safe getting out of my car or staying in the facilities.

Totally overpriced!!! Owner should rethink how much can be max price for this hotel. It’s not nice place at all. It was only option and cheapest at the moment for us to have a place to sleep. But it should never cost that much for this specific location&building.

Dirty place, dirty floor, junky around loud noise. I was afraid to walk by myself. I will never stay at Rodway inn and will not encourage others to do so.

Horrible ”

I did not stay. Roaches, room smells horrible, unsecured room doors, drug deals on property, walk up window for check in, people hanging out everywhere. Not safe.

Acceptable”

Arrived there was cops at the store across the way because someone got robbed, there was homeless people sleeping in parking lot. Had a room with two queen beds, one of the beds smelled like cat pee. There was roaches crawling up the walls, tub had hair in it. Disgusting! We didn’t even stay the whole night. And was told we couldn’t have a refund because we were checked in longer than 15 mins. AVOID!!
