Friendly and good service”

The service is super. Staff is friendly and always willing to help. The lady who was a waitress for outdoor section was extremely humane, friendly, always serving with a smile even when she was the only one and the guests were really above her. The breakfast was suoerb. It was for the first time that I found a hotel that loaned yoi cutlery and crockery gratis. It is a pity I did not read the hotel booklet in rhe room thus I missed out in the gym. As a holiday club member I will be using the hotel more, if holidaying in Durban.

I am certainly going to make this my number one choice in Durban for my weekend get-aways, as from the time you enter the parking, you are welcomed by pleasant security. Then when you enter the reception foyer there an abundant amount of front office staff with big smiles and efficient assistance. The Cafe/Bar staff were not so friendly, especially the male supervisor on duty to say the least. Except Thulani/I think his name was, our waiter that work ed nightshift at he bar was EXCELLENT! After breakfast the next morning, we asked for a later check out and it was gladly confirmed with a smile. WE ARE VERY VERY VERRRRY HAPPY! Did I mention...VERY happy!

The Hotel has several facilities for all to enjoy, the salon, the pub and restaurants the hotel itself is great and it is very close to all the major events as well as Durban golden mile.

have stayed at this hotel on a number occasions. staff friendly and co operative. breakfast buffet needs to be upgraded. bathrooms need a bit of refurbishing. complimentary parking at hotel which is great bonus. close to city and sport venues. would stay here again on next visit to durban.

Good getaway”

We enjoyed our break. We where looking for a short getaway just to relax and we got exactly that at the Riverside. I loved the outside bar area, was the perfect place to chill while my husband enjoyed sport. That long island ice tea will bring me back. I hope by the time we come back, your menus will be sorted, as that was the only issue we had. You guys where changing menus and the waiters where not too clear on availability. Wasn't a big issue though. Thanks

We really enjoyed our stay at Aha Riverside Hotel. I want to mention that our room was not cleaned on the second day and we had to specifically ask housekeeping to clean our room on the 3rd day. I don't think this is acceptable.

Rude restaurant front desk”

We generally prefer eating breakfast out of the hotels we stay but it just so happened that the Agoda online deal included breakfast. I went down to the breakfast restaurant and asked for a takeaway latte as we would not be eating there - my boyfriend spotted the pancakes and so we changed plans and decided to have a sit down breakfast. When we let the lady at the front desk know , she gave us a tongue lashing of note ,about how a takeaway latte is not included in the breakfast option- I explained that I didn’t have a breakfast drink because she actually gave me the takeaway but was nonetheless happy to pay for it - She didn’t want me to pay but continued shouting. Needless to say we didn’t eat breakfast(that was paid for) there the next day. Nobody wants to wake up to unnecessary coffee drama that early in the morning-especially if ur paying for it!

Amazing stay at the Riverside Hotel ”

We enjoyed our stay, the room met our expectations. It was our first time visiting this hotel and we'd definitely want to come back. Food is good, their prices are affordable, they have food specials everyday of the week, kids area, etc. My wish is for the hotel to strengthen the Wi-Fi signal, it's very poor. Some staff members also need to pay attention o how they carry themselves around customers, and how they speak. But overall we had a good time and I'd go back several times and recommend the hotel to my friends.

My wife and I decided to spend a relaxing weekend in Durban and selected the Riverside Hotel due to its location and expectation that it would offer a quiet relaxing environment. How wrong can one be? The hotel is popular with groups celebrating various events and appears to attract guests who seem determined to consume as much liquor as is physically possible. We were subjected to doors slamming, screaming and shouting in the corridors - mostly by inebriated teenagers who had little or no regard for other guests. My advice would be look elsewhere for accommodation unless you intend to join in and be a part of the party.

Excellent! I misplaced my wristwatch in the room and only realized it when I returned home. I called the hotel and was told that it was found by housekeeping and returned to management! That is amazing!!
