Resorts in Miri

"We stayed at Borneo Tropical Rainforest Resort for one night. The room was a decent size and perched on a precarious wooden structure in a rather green and murky lake. It had more facilitates than we were really anticipating, the best being the AC and the fridge. The resort's main attraction is the water park which seems to attract bus loads of noisy swimmers whose enjoyment of this attractions does seem to travel some distance. Any building work on the new block paled into insignificance by comparison to the noise from the pool. There are all sorts of activities on offer should one wish to be adventurous, although most looked pretty dangerous and not in that great condition. There is a pleasant walk to a small waterfall, and some interesting trails in the jungle, which are well signed. The evening buffet was better than other places we have stayed in Borneo, although breakfast perhaps not so great! All in all, it was a pleasant escape for Miri,and right on the doorstep of Lambir,so ideal for a morning trek. "

"it was a pleasant time in our life staying in eastwood one ; a place to retreat for peace of mind and relaxation- though i am not a golfer but enjoyed watching the golfers. i quite big area and made my early morning walking very pleasant - staying in a wooden room added to good experience and early birds singing was very enjoysble. swimming pool, sauna and food were outstanding. being in miri is the best place to stay. hotel provides shuttling bus to town centre every hour. the staff were wonderful and friendly. any other trip to miri eastwood will be the hotel to stay. "
