A great stay near Marseille's main transport hub”

This was my second stay at Residhome Marseille. I came back for the location (200m from the TGV station Marseille Saint-Charles and all the things in the city center are at a walking distance). Via Agoda.com we made a great deal: a private studio with balcony, kitchen and a bath. Neighbouring street can be somewhat noisy, but when you close the door to the balcony, it's completely silent. Studios are pretty well isolated for heath and noise. There is aircon as well. We didn't take a breakfast at this place, because this was, according to us, somewhat overpriced (12 euros per person).

This place was a life saver”

I had booked 2 nights in another hotel for a weekend stay in Marseille, but it was so bad that I went looking for anything else I could find. Thank goodness I found the Residhome! It has a wonderful location just a few blocks from the train/bus station and a 5 min walk to the city center. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. If you want breakfast in the morning, you have to let them know in advance. It was like 10 euros which I think was too expensive, but it was nice not to have to leave the hotel for a bite to eat. They also have someone in the lobby 24/7 so you can feel safe coming home at night. I would stay here again!

Good Value for Money”

The second time we have stayed at a Residhome and have found them to be of good value, clean and in a good location. The one in Marseille is located close to the main train station and not far away from the tourist areas. The studio apartments are ideal for a couple with the basic kitchen items supplied if you are sick of going out to eat. They also offer an internal laundry however the dryer wasn’t working so had to locate a laundry close by, thanks to Mr Google. Would certainly recommend to stay and would come back again.

Exceptional”

Modern, clean studio with well equipped compact kitchen recess, comfortacle bed and good storage; fairly quiet as we had a studio overlooking the plaza and we experienced no noise from within the hotel either. Staff all friendly and polite. Location between main station and the port area suited us perfectly. If you are not happy to walk there are convenient buses. It is uphill back to the station, but for fit people wheeling heavy luggage the short distance back there is no problem. Would definitely stay again if well priced against comparable properties.

Our first stop-over during our Noel holidays”

We would come back again to your residence, as we found it great value for money and the room (apartment) was spacious, clean and convenient. The service was good as we had a pb with the heater in the bathroom and we were proposed directly to change bedroom; Alan (I think he is the maintenance gentleman) was very helpful. Not only with his duties but also on touristic advice!! :-) Great asset for your organisation. It was also great to meet up again with "an old friend" (the marketing lady I believe) from a previous hotel in Marseille, who recognized us and greeted us. Thank you for that, that made us really welcome. :-) I personally don't like the location much, but nothing you can do about it, and I have to admit that it is really nearby downtown... so, convenient is nothing else. We shall see you again! In a next trip to sunny Marseille!!

it's good to have stayed there!”

took some time to figure out the location of the hotel. take the exit close to the airport shuttle bus at the st. charles gare and walk down the slope along the road and it's there. going uphill on the way of returning to the gare is a bit though, but it's okay. the room that i stayed in was a studio, kitchen provided, patio available. everything is simple style, which suits my taste. the only thing i found disgusting was that there was a piece of dry mass from somebody's nose on the blanket. other than that, it's a recommendable apartment-hotel. =)

Excellent”

Stayed 2 nights, last cation was perfect as it was 5 minutes walk to St-Marseille train station, bus stop is few steps away. Lots of restaurants and cafes around. Staff are friendly. Haven’t tried the food. Rooms equipped with kitchenette with microwave and dishwasher. Wifi was good.

Spacious rooms, good facilities!”

We stayed in a Studio for 2 adults. The space in the room was great - plenty of walking space, kitchen facilities and utensils are available, spacious bathroom with bathtub. The availability of a paid laundry room on the ground floor means we didn't have to hunt for a Laundromat outside the hotel which is a plus as well. The location is near Gare St Charles, the small issue is probably the steep slope up and down to the station.

Night before cruise. ”

Good place to spend night before cruise. Clean, close to the train station but in very unpleasant environments (like most of Marseille).

Friendly staff, good size apartments, very close to St Charles station ”

Larger room than expected with separate bathroom, kitchenette and bedroom with balcony. Doors to seperate each which blocks any hallway noise. Full size bath and plenty of kitchen utensils. Washing machine available for €4 and dryer €2 per load. Had breakfast 1 day for €10.50 and there was plenty of choices. Walking distance to Old Port was approx 15mins. Suggest supermarket City Carrefour behind the apartments, opp station as better selection and not as busy as the one on Cours Belsunce.

very enjoyable. had a blast in marseille. would do it again. only problem: there is a huge construction site just outside the hotel (mid 2015)

Excellent”

Hotel is near Gare de Marseille, just about 5 minutes walk. There is no place for storage the baggage. We can walk to some main attraction around hotel.

Great location”

Great location, 5 minutes walk to train & coach station, and the town. And under 10 minutes walk to the old port. Room size is adequate, large windows, and a separate kitchenette. Overall good value for money, would stay here again.

Good choice for a short stay in Marseille”

This Aparthotel was efficient and clean and well set up for us. WE had a studio which was small but fine for a short stay and we were able to cook breakfast and even a simple dinner in the tiny kitchenette. Great position near the station and easy walk down to the port...

Good hotel with a good vibrant. ”

I was pleased with the hotel and the position it was in close to the train station and a nice walk to the port and the town.

nice clean place close to the center”

Clean and affordable place at a walking distance to the old port. The area is not unsafe altough there are not many turists around and I was afraid to walk alone after sunset.

Cheap but not chearful”

Although only 15 minutes walk to the Vieux Port, the hotel is in a seedy area. However, we booked well in advance and got a good rate so I guess you get what you pay for. The room was tidy but the floor sticky (presumably the previous occupants had spilt a soft drink), there was coffee in the room but no cups and the underground garage was unlit.

Overnight stay”

Not easiest to find in hire car from airport but once there check in was efficient and parking easy to find around the corner. Room well equipped modern clean. Check out quick. 10-15 min walk to old port

Recommended”

A decent property in a central location. Very close to central station and old port. Professional staff members, clean, and good value for money. I do recommend.

Do not visit Marseille”

The minute our driver brought us to this Hotel, I wanted to get back on the van and drive off to somewhere else. The hotel was so so. Marseille was terrible, the whole area was sketchy. Did not feel safe. It was like you weren't in France. Our room's aircon wasn't working and we were told that that's why there were electric fans inside (eye roll emoji). They said they could not move us. So glad to just stay overnight. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.
