Amazing hotel run by amazing people!”
Location- not in the town proper but very ideal since it is somewhere in between north and south of Batanes. Hotel is almost beach front. This is just aroubd 3km from Tukon church. Staff- very friendly and accommodating. ❤ I could not ask for more. Food is very good especially Sinigang na Tuna and Wakay Fries. Room - clean and relatively new. It's a plus because the rooms have balcony. They have free airport transfer as well. 👌🏻

Positives: comfortable bed , clean bathroom , hot showers, free bottled water , daily room fresh up Extremely friendly , polite and courteous staff from front desk to restaurant staff Assistance with land tours was very helpful Negatives: Pool is not heated. Since the tours were just half a day , it would have been nice to just lunge in the pool to spend rest of the day outside rather than staying in room napping and watching TV . Big mosquitoes. Need insecticide spray that is odorless. They were very nice to give me a can of insecticide spray but the odor was pretty unpleasant. Limited menu selection. Need more variety. Fresh fruits please.

Christmas Vacation”
Its our first time to spend Christmas out from our home and me and all of my family members are all happy with our 4 days stay at Residencia Du Basco. Staff are so Friendly and very accomdating to our requests. Ammenities are superb and breakfast and dinner at their restaurant is delicious. Would definitely stay in this hotel if we come back to Basco, Batanes in the future.

Excellent Place To Stay in Batanes”
I love the room interiors and the location of the hotel. It's serene and tranquil. The staff are also very helpful. I think the only challenge is the internet connection. There were times it wasn't functioning. But overall, I had an excellent stay in the hotel.

Nicest Most Upscale in Area”
I checked around the island and this hotel is the newest, cleanest, most updated hotel. The rooms are nice, overlook the beautiful pool, have room wifi (which almost all other places dont have) and the friendly staff assist you in every way. The location is very peaceful, right on the main road and easily accessible to the town center.

Probably the newest and nicest hotel now in Batanes”
Pros: Nice hotel with pool and an awesome rooftop view that easily gives a you a teaser of the beauty of the area. The staff are all courteous, friendly and responsive. Special mention to Bella in the front desk. Cons: The breakfast menu can use a little improvement in terms of variety, taste and portioning. The coffee is good though.

Great place to unwind”
Pros: - Hotel is relatively new so the rooms & facilities are clean. Plus, rooms are pretty big as compared to other hotels. - Unlike other reviews about their restaurant, food selection is interesting & delicious! Serving is good for 2-3 persons. - Hotel is near Chanarian beach so it’s very convenient for a quick stroll. - There are nearby restaurants & mom & pop stores so you can buy food & other necessities Cons: - I travelled with my 2 senior parents and we were booked at the third floor! No elevators! I was hoping that they’ll be considerate given that my mom had difficulties climbing the stairs but they said that rooms in the GF were already booked (though we saw some which are vacant). Customer service can still be improved. - Very bad internet connection. Well, if you’re probably in Batanes to unwind & take a break from hectic city life so you’ll probably enjoy this, but of course you’d want to at least update your family & friends.

Hotel was good but still needs much for improvement”
The facilities were good--rooms were modern, spacious, and clean. Staff can be friendly as well. There were some things lacking and needed to be fixed such as their shower; the screw that allowed for overhead use was too loose. Also, they did NOT have credit/debit card facilities. They should have put up a sign beforehand that they only dealt with cash. This can be problematic as there are few ATMs in Basco and only a few work or have cash at times. Also, their buffet, which costs so much at Php550 per head, hardly has fruits and vegetables and can be repetitive. They should also include free breakfast with their rate. So hopefully, Residencia will improve on these.

The hotel facilities were modern and comfortable and hotel was design well. It could still use a lot of improvement however, such as 1) shower screw was too loose and so you had to hold it if you want the overhead shower to work; 2) NO CREDIT/DEBIT CARD FACILITIES! They should put a sign that they only deal with cash for now. And there are few ATMs in Basco, with many not working so this would be a hassle; and 3) Buffet is expensive at about PhP550 per head. There are hardly any fruits and veggies and the menu can get repetitive. Also, they don't include free breakfast with their check-in rates! And lastly, internet can be slow, and yes, requesting a new code everyday can be a hassle! Why not just have ONE CODE for the entire stay?

next best thing in Basco”
If you can't get a booking in Fundacion Pacita, or your budget doesn't permit it, then Residencia du Basco is youre next best choice. It is decent, clean, and with very friendly staff. The pillows and bed are very comfortable, and they offer airport transfers.

Pictures are good, misses the mark”
Many details are missed in what could be a good hotel. 1. Breakfast is not included and the breakfast offered is expensive and poor for what it is. 2. They give you a 24 hr code for internet that you constantly need to renew at the desk daily. This is a pointless waste of time and an annoyance 3. No mention of no credit card facilities when checking in, when you go to settle your account they tell you it needs to be cash. Distance to nearest ATM is Basco and a two way trip to get cash. This would not be ideal when leaving to catch a flight. 4. Travel to and from the hotel could be better relayed to customers. Most hotels will have a book in the room with service, amenity and travel details. this could be done much better and staff could be better at explaining it.

Hotel staff were very accommodating although facility is just limited to a pool. Furthermore, our stay was cut short due to impeding community quarantine so instead of 3 nights we just stayed for 1 night.

Basic Hotel, ”
The restaurant does look more than a waiting room. Internet horrible. Owner does not understand the importance that guest need to get a boarding pass etc. The other hotel at half price are much better value for money.

Excellent hotel”
Corteous and warm staff, very helpful Hotel is clean, comfy, and well maintained Only thing to note is there is limited internet connection - but it is an excellent place to do a digital detox!
