Hotels with rental car in Randburg

"The Westcliff is situated in a good part of Johannesburg and just a short walk from the zoo. The staff at Reception were unbelievably helpful in day-to-day issues, in arranging visits and helping get tickets for shows etc. As Johannesburg is a very large city it was really helpful that the hotel organize a free shuttle service (there and return) to various Malls and venues close to the hotel. The standard of bedrooms is wonderful with each room having a "Tardiss-like" pod at the end of the bed which turned out to be a hidden TV which emerged on pressing a bedside switch! We had two separate stays in different parts of the hotel grounds - both excellent. The only criticism we had was that the breakfast costs were not included and were quite pricey on top of a fairly expensive room rate. The access to free internet in the Business Centre was good. "

"We enjoyed our stay at Clico enormously.. The hotel is small and intimate and you feel part of a large family staying there. Nothing was too much for the staff. Peggy at reception seemed to be always there to answer any enquiries and organised a day for us with driver Dan who picked us up from the hotel and dropped us back. He was our personal guide for the day, taking us to Constitution Hill. Apartheid museum , the top of the Carlton buildings with a view over the whole of Jo'burg and on to Soweto where we visited Mandela's house and the Hector Pierson museum. We felt safe in his hands. It was great to get back to the hotel and enjoy a really good meal of fine dining quality with Sibusiso ("Moyo"?) always on hand to give his advice about wine with passion and enthusiasm. A good sleep with comfortable beds then up and starting the day with a very good breakfast- eggs benedict particularly good . Discussions with the chef and Sean the manager also. Highly recommended. "

"need to work on peace and quiet. it is a beautiful place and i do wish the owners everything of the best. tranquility is important, suggestion .. maybe put in a water fountain to drown out some of the noise."
