El Nido COCO RESORT
El Nido,El Nido - View on map
"Beautiful property, private accommodations, great breakfast included and will serve on your veranda, great location in Corong Corong, right next to beach (short pleasant walk down dirt street) lovely restaurant/bar right on this beach - La Plage, great pool, very clean, 3 of us stayed in one room and lots and lots of space, nice owners, very helpful staff, great AC, highly recommend staying here instead of downtown el Nido, 5 minute trike ride to el Nido and easy to get trike, very cheap for trike ride. If you fly into el Nido you will need to wait I trike line or arrange accommodations ahead of time. They do book up ahead of time so reserve well ahead. Cons - very expensive bar and food. A bottle of water is very expensive, their exchange rate is not great. Make sure to bring pesos and pick up water elsewhere. Also leave the resort for food. While the food is absolutely delicious, it's overpriced. Many restaurants along beach better value for money (especially La Plage)"

Seda Lio

"Seda Lio Hotel is located on the Lio beach, El Nido. In my opinion it is the best beach, gorgeous place, you feel like in Paradise. The hotel is big, rooms large and modern with everything you need. Breakfast delicious, even dinner buffe is worth the price. Staff is nice, polite, always smiling and helpful. I would love to return to this place again. In El Nido I will stay only at Seda Lio Hotel."

Hwan Dynasty Suite

"We stayed here for our time in El Nido. The hotel was nice and had a fab location. The hotel was located about a 5 minute tricycle ride from the main town. We really enjoyed this as it was away from the busy center. The hotel was right next to a beach that was perfect in the evenings for a drink - highly recommended. The staff were great and organized our tours seamlessly. Transfers from the hotel to the main port were all organized and very close. The hotel is hard to find as it is new - the hotel is right next to the royal palms hotel. El Nido is know for electricity black outs - but the hotel had a generator that worked perfectly. There was no wifi, but this is common for El Nido. Before you travel to El Nido make sure to take out cash as the machines ran out when we were there. Good stay. "

Mahogany Resort and Spa
El Nido,El Nido - View on map
"Our stay at Mahogany was simply amazing. After a few days in fairly average hotels in El Nido, we decided to move there. We were welcomed by their staff at reception in the best way possible. It is a small hotel but so peaceful. No bars which initially feels strange but everything is there and the staff will be more than willing to help you with any request. The room style is traditional but very clean and comfortable. The small pool outside the villa is amazing to relax at the end of the day with a drink. The view on the beach is beautiful. Such a good experience there, we wish we stayed longer! "

Cauayan Island Resort (El Nido)
El Nido,El Nido - View on map
"We have been to other resorts in El Nido, but never had that quality meals or mixed drinks. From the moment we met the French GM, and the Spanish F&B manager, I was sure that we would not be disappointed. The drinks are truly special and two of them we had never experienced before. For every meal we chose between the fish, crabs or langoustines, which are presented caught fresh from the ocean on a platter for selection. The resort has a policy of never offering as fresh anything older than the day it was caught. The location is very special, as was the day tour on their own boat, which is far and away the very best we have seen anywhere in El Nido: very comfortable, not overcrowded as all the other ones you see, personalized and with an excellent crew and food. All four of us also used the top notch massage services at a unique spot on the island. The accomodation is good, but not excellent, and the facilities are hard to maintain. Overall a top experience, well worth the cost."

Matinloc Resort
El Nido,El Nido - View on map
"We made the booking last minute (since we got scammed by a travel agency so be cautious when getting deals from agencies). I saw Matinloc and I must say the photos did stun me which made me decide to book. I have only heard of Lagen and Miniloc so I gave this one a try. The trip to El Nido was long but bearable since they have good roads already. When we arrived at the El Nido Hotel (partner resort of Matinloc) we were welcomed by the staff and asked us to wait for the boat transfer to arrive. It was rainy season when we went there but they really took care of our luggages (black plastic bags) and make sure they don't get wet. We took a boat going to the Matinloc Island and when we got there, we were welcomed by their warm staff. CHECK IN was a breeze and we got the premium suite (beach front above the reception). Their FOOD was awesome as well. They do not offer alcoholic beverages though but good thing is that you can ask their staff to buy it from the mainland. Just check with the front desk on the boat schedules. For the TOURS, i suggest you look outside the resort. There are a lot of groups offering tour packages in El Nido which normally ranges from 1,200 to 1,500 (with gear and food as well). Their packages are quite expensive. On the resort activities, they have kayaking and snorkeling gears for free. :) ROOMS are clean and really comfortable. They change the bed sheets everyday and the hotel amenities are just amazing. Literally you don't have anything to worry about. Overall our stay was awesome! Me and my husband did enjoy our quitet time together and would definitely come back with the family. "

Blue Mango Rooms & Villas
El Nido,El Nido - View on map
"We had an issue with the check-in and had to wait more than an hour while it was 5pm. The rooms are not completely ready to receive guests: - No lock for the door (meaning anyone can come in during the night as the door is outside) - No curtain in the bathroom while there are workers just behind you - No hot water - towels with stain of bleach - horrible smell in the toilets - when you turn on the tap, the water goes 1 meter past the sink - The lights are on the opposite side of the bed, which means not enough light to read a book - No wifi - cherry on the cake, on the last day, they asked us to pay for the breakfast that was already included in the room. To be fair, this place should be nice in a few months, but still some work to do and clearly overpriced for the current state"

Liminangcong Beach Resort
El Nido,El Nido - View on map
"I booked this place because of the beach and the tents look promising. I was supposed to spend my birthday. We got so excited with my partner but upon arrival I never expected that the place is an hour away from the main road! Vehicles have time interval including buses and vans so if you are on a hurry and catching up any other trips then don't book this place. To the management, please indicate the transport situation so tourists will have an idea how it is. I have also talked to the locals there that the road is challenging and even though locals are confident to drive you with their motorbikes or "habal-habal" for P700-one-way-trip-only, I suggest not to for your own safety. We ended up going to the town in El Nido and luckily we managed to book for another hotel at the last minute. We haven't able to cancel our booking at Liminangcong Beach because it was already late and I'm pretty sure they won't refund us so this will be our lesson and hopefully it won't happen to others."
