"This homestay is run by a husband wife team coupled with their lovely daughter. We loved this home so much we extended our stay from 5 to 9 days so we could take the Mekong River tour with the owner Randy. Breakfast was included in the very reasonable price and Linh is a phenomenal cook. If the meal didn't suit our fancy she just whipped up something else tasty. We ate dinner at the house 7 of the nights we stayed for $5/ per meal and they were outstanding. We went to the water park with the family, the city tour on motorcycles, the public marketplace and a cooking class. They provided laundry services, and really made us feel a part of the family. They set up an itinerary for our next stops throughout Vietnam, had a going away dinner, gave us gifts, made our reservations for the sleeper bus and saw us off at the bus station. Way above and beyond what you would expect. Highly recommend and the owner speaks very fluent English. Cleanliness, hospitality, and great value for the dollar."

"The staff were super nice and attentive. But I must point out a few items that made our stay uncomfortable. 1. The beds are extremely uncomfortable (even for a budget hotel). Specifically, too hard almost like sleeping on the ground. 2. Mosquitos were in the room. Nothing worse than waking up to bites on your arms, legs, or face. (I've stated in other low budget hotels with no mosquitos, so I know it's definitely possible here). 3. After taking a shower the whole restroom would be wet (toilet, tiolet paper, floors and walls, etc.) While this may be ok for most locals, to foreigners this is not something we like. 4. Rooms on the street side can be quite noisy from the traffic. I would recommend this place to other traveling foreigners if.. Your're looking for a clean place to stay for a reasonable price (assuming you need a place in this area). They don't speak much (if any) English here, so don't expect it. And if you're ok with eating street food, there are plenty of great food within walking distance (one street over or a few streets down). Also money exchange is avail at a nearby jewelry store. Again, it's advisable that you can speak a little Vietnamese. "

"Stayed for 4 nights. Food are easy to find nearby the hotel. Have spa and massage on 6th floor but I never try it. Near to Binh Tay market. I was robbed in District 3 on my 3rd night and walked all the way back to hotel. The staff don't understands English at all. The next morning, one of the staff asked one of the customer who can speak English to translate. The customer was kind enough to give me some money to get through the day. Around k Viet Dong. The staff then bought me food and loan me his handphone to call back home. He also called a friend who can speak Mandarin to help me out. Overall, the hotel stay was a pleasant one but the trip was not. Pro: Cheap and clean room, very near to Binh Tay market, short walk to the temples, easy to find food nearby, quiet during the night, cleans the room daily, staff try their best to help even can't speak English. Cons: No water from the sink tap in my room, aircond water flows into toilet, staff can't speak English, no staff on duty after 2am, noisy during day time, no restaurant in hotel, staff sleeps in the lobby at night.
