Rated high as it is you get what you pay for. Very cheap hotel and very basic and a little run down. We only stayed one night as getting the train. Good location as very close to station and lots of great food places around. Hotel staff friendly and offer basic breakfast with the room. Was fried rice or noodle or toast. Good for the price you pay. If you are walking to the hotel and get a little off track like we did just ask the locals they are very helpful and will show you the way.

Old Building ex Margott Hotel”
If you are want comfortable room, not bad for a family, couple or single. For faciluty, old spring bed, leaking AC, noisy bathroom, no breakfast..(you can ask for changing room, if there an other empty room). I think the other room is fine, i just got unlucky with the room. Out on the street, a lot of street food with cheap price..also you can get variety of menu from GoFood application. For staff service, all staff very humble and kind..they can help what you need. Access to everywhere you want to go, like Monas, MRT, Mall, Culinary place, Pub, Bar, you just name it and you can find it. Overall, the owner of the Hotel need to be care of the facility of the hotel. Especially when you merging with Redoorz, they can change your hotel more better and nice.

Choose your room carefully!”
Stayed here for the 3rd time. The quality if each room was different, despite being the same class. The first was fresh and bright, newly renovated, the second faded and full of mosquitos, this third one in between. It's worth asking staff at check-in to give you one of the better rooms. Location still great, super central with lots of places to eat nearby.

Near the airport ”
If you‘re looking for a cheap accomodation near the airport and you only want to stay one night - you can choose this hotel. Our flight arrived at night, so it was good for us sleeping nearby. The corridor of the hotel itself is unfortunately really dirty.. but the room was okay - if you‘re not planing to stay a short time. Breakfast area looked not clean as well.. but everyone was friendly and the wifi worked surprisingly good

2nd stay here disappointing!”
This was my 2nd stay here. While the first time I got a bright, fresh room on the upper floor, this time I was given a tired, old room with flaking paint, mustly smell and a zillion modquitos on the 2nd floor. No hot water, aircon temperature couldn't be adjusted. When I asked if I could store a bag till my next stay here booked for 4 days later, something most hotels will gladly do for free for returning guests, staff wanted to charge me 100.000 Rp for it! Breakfast included is super basic and I chose to eat outside. The area is super central with lots of cheap eateries.

Good enough to just sleep there”
It was surprisingly quiet for the night. Reception staff was friendly. Not really able to speak English, but well enough to get what you want. Breakfast was provided. The room even had a small cupboard with a mirror as well as a little laptop table. Internet was quite stable. Things in the room do not work perfectly. The lights, for example. Shower water was not really hot, but not cold either. Aircon worked fine, although I needed to clean the super dirty filters to sleep with a peaceful mind. Towels, bed sheets and pillow make an old, used and unbleached impression, the bed is creaking and screeching. I used earplugs to eliminate those noises. I simply don't understand why the low season is not used to fix the things that need maintenance. Instead, the staff is hanging around at the staircases and play with their phones. But again, for the purpose of just sleeping there, it was fine.

The condition was FAR TOO DIFFERENT than the one shown in the photo. The bed seemed broken, with damaged springs The towels had holes in then No mineral water No tissue paper No facilities like extra bed/sofa bed as written and shown in the photo WiFi was dead as well Only had one electrical plug in the room, that was meant for the TV and one in the bathroom... So not a lot of choices to charge your devices.

I picked this Red Doorz because I stayed at other Red Doors ( Near kemang lippo) and that one was great. This one on Jalan Jaksa was terrible. First of all, this hotel seemed to be ran by a group of male staff that hangs out including sleeping in places like restaurant where guess can see in the morning and that is so unprofessional. Second of all, this hotel is an old hotel and the room was dark, water in the shower head was only dripping, mosquitoes in the room I could go on.... the point is if you have couple more $$ picked other hotels and avoid this one. I picked this one because I was under the assumption that red doors all are new hotel at least, nope I was wrong. The staff were friendly tho I jus wasn’t comfortable with some of them still sleeping downstairs in the breakfast area when guess were coming to get their fried rice ( only breakfast available) breakfast.

Close to train station but needs lots of maintenance”
I chose this hotel based on location and past reviews. I feel, after staying there, that the reviews did not portray an accurate picture of the hotel. When I walked into the lobby there were 4 or 5 men lounging in chairs smoking. As a family of 5 we each had our suitcases and we were informed there was no lift. So they changed our floor to the second floor instead of the third. I think the second floor though must have been a smoking floor, I had specifically requested non-smoking rooms. The 2 rooms we were put in were horrible - one was almost thick with smoke (my daughter and I had trouble breathing in there) and the other room that my husband and sons used smelled of mould and rising damp. In both rooms the door to the bathroom did not work. One was jammed and was very hard to shift. The other was so loose we didn’t want to touch it in case it fell off the railings. I didn’t even want to sit on the bed let alone sleep on it. If it had been earlier in the evening I would have walked out of the hotel and found somewhere else to stay but out train was at 6.40am and we needed some rest. The AC worked in both rooms.

So, this place was on #1 search but then i arrived late night and too tired to complain. Too many bed bugs, the linens, bedsheets and towels aren't new... i think it's there for weeks or months even. The place is dusty. Considering it's in the center, the management should do something about it. It's not very welcoming.
