Great for the price”
at quo vadis resort, we chose one of their budget cottages (cold shower, fan) and it was fine. no luxuries, but none expected for what we paid. the cottage was spacious and had a nice front porch. the ceiling fan kept everything plenty cool. air-conditioning was really unnecessary. the staff were all extremely friendly and were very helpful throughout our three-day stay. there is no sand beach there, but that is how it is for everyplace along panagsama beach. of course a sand beach isn't necessary if you're a diver though, and diving is the main focus of quo vadis. i'm not a diver, but had a great time there anyway. quo vadis does have a pool, which my son enjoyed, and the location is very good - fairly quiet due to the fact that it's on the southern end of panagsama and not the party end, but an easy walk to the party end if that's what you're after. in the immediate vicinity, there is a mini-mart where you can buy most anything you need and last filling station restaurant is just a 3-minute walk away. we went to lfs to eat every day of our stay. the wood-fired pizzas there (only served at night) are amazing! the food served at quo vadis' own restaurant was also quite good. overall, i think for what you pay (for the budget cottages anyway), quo vadis is probably the best value for the money at panagsama beach - judging from what i saw anyway.

Nice low key resort perfect for a diving vacation!”
We stayed two nights a Quo Vadis. It's a very nice place and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. We had a garden view room, which was very nice for the price we paid. Sadly there was a rooster close by, which kept us awake at night so we moved to another hotel after the two nights (but there were roosters too...it doesn't really matter where you go as we found out. Just have to get used to the sound). The service at Qou Vadis was definitely good and there really isn't anything negative to say about our stay (despite the rooster but that is something no one could do anything about). Despite chaning the Hotel we decided to get our Padi Open Water divers certificate at Qou Vadis, which was the best choice we made! The staff at the dive shop is super nice. Pernilla, our diving instructor was an excellent teacher, very patient and made us feel safe during our dives. The dive sights around Moalboal are also very beautiful and you get to see a lot of cool things. My personal favorite were the many sea turtles. We had a lovely experience and will try to come back as soon as possible!

Comfortable well priced”
Loved my trip to Moalboal. We went in order to dive (there's not much else to do). Quo Vadis is a great locally owned dive shop and a nice selection of accommodation. We went for the cheapest garden fan room which was brand new and had good beds with a clean hot shower. The rooms got a little warm as there's not much breeze getting into them. For a little extra the AC bungalows also looked nice. Only negative is the roosters start crowing at 5am and don't really stop, so don't expect a lie in, but I think it's the same pretty much everywhere in moalboal as it's still quite rural. Hotel has a nice pool and ocean view restaurant. The included breakfast was great, probably the best I had in 10 weeks of SE Asia. The scrambled egg is very tasty. Loved being able to leave my room and walk 30 secs to be in the dive shop. Their dive boats then leave from a small "jetty" 20m from the shop.

The best resorts”
I stayed 1 night, The staff are very polite, kind and very entertaining. The Garden view room is very well clean and worth the price. The area is also clean and smells good. I like the ambiance so much it’s so silent and relaxing. It’s the best place to stay when you want to be alone . They have like resting area where you can get chill watching sunset and you have many options. You either watching the sunset in the restaurant, hanging rope or near in the pool. At night it’s more peaceful. I wish to come back there soon and stay long time. I love there so much. Thank you QUO VADIS DIVE RESORT i feel like home specially the staff are so friendly .

Best place in Moalboal”
we had been at quo vadis the 2nd time this summer and it is really a great place. it's located on the water and you can go for snorkeling or diving just in front of the hotel. the hotel offers a good sized pool, nice relaxation areas and 2 good restaurant as well as a bar. it's quiet compared to most surrounding places and good for a couple or families. the resort offers daily 2 boot tours as well as regularly tours for the whale-shark-watching, which is possible about 2 hours from moalboal. this time we took the seaview room with a/c and it was great and i would anyone recommend to stay there if he visits moalboal. you can go to the white beach with a tricycle in about 15 minutes if you like to relax at a beach.

Spectacular 3 weeks”
We were at Quo Vadis for 3 weeks. The diving was spectacular. Dodo, the dive guide was exceptional. He found animals that we had never even heard of. He was concerned about our safety, but once he saw that you were a good diver, he gave us freedom which we appreciated. We stayed with the group, but could swim in front or stay back to take pix. He was always there to help the inexperienced divers. Awesome dive guide. Kim was also great at finding the animals. We weren't able to dive with him as much because he was teaching classes. When we did, he was great and kept us entertained. We had our anniversary while we were there, and Kim arranged a sunset bottle of champagne, and we viewed the sunset from the dining room which we had to ourselves. The boat crew worked extremely hard and took care of everything we needed. We stayed in Superior room 10. We highly recommend it. It was always clean. The housekeeping staff was great. Vanvan at the desk took care of all our needs. Friendliest staff we have had anywhere. Highly recommend diving Pescador island, and more than once. The food was great, and large portions. We heard there was an issue with scooter traffic at night. This was nonexistent for us. We also never experienced loud music from the disco. We will return to this resort. We highly recommend it.

Paradise!”
My fiancee and I have stayed in Moalboal previously but this was our first time at Quo Vadis, and we couldn't have had a better stay. We loved it so much we extended our stay an additional night. We had a superior room with a patio and a view of the ocean which was about 100 feet from our room. The room was clean and cozy, and the staff was warm, friendly and accommodating. The food was good and you couldn't possibly have a more beautiful view while eating your breakfast. We rented snorkel gear and saw sea turtles and lots of exotic fish just feet from the beach entry, it was absolutely amazing! If you're planning a trip to Moalboal or Panagsama Beach, do yourself a favor at book a room at Quo Vadis, you won't be disappointed.

a good place to stay”
Quo vadis is a nice resort located in Panagsama beach (but there's not really a beach). It's a good place for divers. I've stayed in bungalow 2 during 4 nights and it was really good, the room worth the price i payed for (31,50 E per night). It's clean, comfortable, quiet. The room is big, the bathroom is good but the cabled TV is not in front of the bed but on the right, it's not so easy to watch it but it's not so important. The 5th night i've been transfered to the bungalow 4 wich is located near the entrance and it was very different, quite noisy late at night with people talking loud in the parking nearby and tricycle hanging around. Most of all the bed was terrible, the matress is so thin that you can feel hardly the wood of the native filipino bed. Fortunatly it's a two single bed room so i've put the other matress on the matress of my bed and it was ok like that. The bathroom was dirty and needed some maintenance. This room don't worth the price i payed for (38 E). The restaurant is very good and prices are like what you can get anywhere. The breakfast is cheap and good, only 99 P. The staff is great. You can also rent a motorcycle for only 300 P per day, and visit the mountains beetween Badian and Alegria wich is very beautiful. Overall i can say i had a pleasant stay there and i recommend this resort for the comfort and the diving facilities they propose. :-)

Most beautiful resort in the area”
Loved the view of the sea & nearby islands, loved how all the restos w/ yummy food are walking distance, and loved how there are available tricycles 24/7 (parked outside the main lobby). We walked around the Moalboal strip of resorts & hostels during our weekend stay, and Quo Vadis seems to be the best choice in terms of how their land area was balanced between villas, facilities & landacaped gardens. Other lodging options looked too cramped, dark & shady. Their staff at the front desk & restaurant were very helpful, too. The kitchen staff even thoughtfully wrapped our order of takeaway pizza lunch so we can conveniently enjoy each slice as we took a commuter bus back to Cebu City.

Had an amazing time at Quo Vadis Dive Resort”
A wife and I stayed stayed at Quo Vadis for a week at the seaside deluxe room and we took our open water certification here. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the resort, sitting at the seaside gazing at the sunset is amazing here. The staffs are courteous, they make up the rooms neatly everyday. Everyone at the resort is courteous and friendly. The resort is clean and well managed. Likewise for the dive center. I will definitely stay here again if I go to Moalboal again.

Super service!!! ”
Second time in moalboal. Quo Vadis was truly amazing stay. Dive shop was excellent the staff where so polite and very helpful. One of the best dive shops I have been to in the Philippines. The food was very good... I stayed in a room called the bungalow. Was very clean and very roomy. The resort was located to lots of restaurants and bars close by didn’t have to travel to town for anything. Would truly recommend this place.

better than pictures, exceptional service”
Quo vadi exceeded my expectations. it looks better than pictures! stayed overnight for a south cebu trip but the views of the sea across their garden and open restaurant is really beautiful, ideal for lounging. the facilities are well kept, dive shop is well equipped and dive masters are friendly. the room is clean. the staff were helpful too an attentive to our requests and needs. the only room for improvement for me is the bed and pillows, its a bit hard, had difficulty sleeping, and there are no proper comforters. theres also no complimentary water in the room. other than that everything else is great.

On the beach, literally”
Quo Vadis is an exceptional value for the money. One caution: don't book the Premium Suite during high winds. Those waves at high tide will be crashing on your bedroom walls! However, the rooms are big and clean. The staff is great and diving is amazing. I prefer Quo Vadis to the higher priced options of Magic Island or Turtle Bay. They all dive the same spots but Quo Vadis is a short walk to the restaurants of Panagsama Beach whereas those other "resorts" are a motorbike away.

Great resort. MEH food. ”
We had an amazing time in Moalboal. Quo Vadis is in the best location for South Cebu Excursion. Their rooms are huge and clean. Their staff is very friendly, accommodating and flexible. They aim to please. Rollaway beds are mattresses, heads up. Food selection is very limited and needs improvement on existing, especially if they're charging premium. Overall stay is very satisfactory, unless you're a foodie.

nice price diving resort, good breakfast included”
I recommend this place to divers and people who just want to get away from tiring cebu city for a couple of days. Moalboal ist just a 2.5 hours bus or van ride from cebu city away and offers you some good (not awesome) snorkeling and diving spots. quo vadis is a basic, clean and cozy resort with a relaxed and friendly staff. 20 € a night for a super clean fan (no a/c needed imo) double room including a reasonable breakfast is just a great deal! My only complaint: me and my gf were renting some snorkeling gear from the hotels diving shop, asking if swimming is fine around that hotel reef. confirmed by the staff we both ended up with a very painful skin rash caused by the jelly fish larvae obviously any local knows about but not the lady from the diving school...thanks!! please notice that the hotel beach is a coral reef, dont expect a white sandy beach that is suitable for sun bathing! for this you got to take a cheap 25 mins tricycle ride to the so called "white beach" (6 € roundtrip).

Divers' retreat”
First of all, I must stress that this resort, and the surrounding area, really caters to divers or at the least snorkellers. If you don't fancy the underwater world and need 4-star accommodations, this is not the place for you. That said, for its location and room quality, Quo Vadis is value for money. It is a little out of the way from the more crowded part of Panagsama (a short 10-min stroll away), but that means that it is a little cheaper than others in the more crowded area. We stayed at Bungalow 1 and Premier Suite, so those are more expensive but have a view of the sea. You can get wifi from B1, but not from PS. The view from PS is superb - 180-degree of the sea almost unobstructed. The mattress in PS is much more comfortable and PS is slightly more spacious. The staff is superb. They are friendly and quite willing to help you with anything (especially if you're nice). Special mention to their drivers Nilo and Lloyd, and the recep Malmal who helped us a lot! We took a scuba diving course and our instructor, Barbora, is out of this world! She's fun, knowledgeable, passionate and patient! Thanks Barb!

The best hotel in Moal Boal”
the quo vadis was a welcome surprise. it really is a great resort. nice setting , pool views and the rooms are big and attractive. i could not pick fault at all and it exceeded my expectations. i would likely come again to cebu just to stay here again. the greenery well maintained gardens and imaculate bungalows all show the effort staff put into making this place enjoyable. it is the sort of place you imagine when you think simple peaceful holiday in the tropics. all this and great value too.

A Tropical Paradise”
I was here with a group of 11 family members aged 1 to 59. We will conclude this is our very best beach resort experience in the Philippines ever. And some of us have been to many beach resorts all over the country! The swimming pool is marvellous. Never crowded. All children and some grownups swimming more than ever in our lives! All Quo Vadis is very well maintained and swimming pool area is very beautiful. Food at the restaurant is good and all staff very nice. Prices reasonable at both lodging and restaurant. My group occupying three bungalows. Only minus one of them where TV system was complicated to operate and the aircon very slow.

Holiday”
Loved Moalboal and loved the Quo Vadis hotel, excellent location directly on the beach front, walk down the hotel's steps and into the ocean. Lovely restaurant with breath taking views over the ocean, food was nice and good staff. Hotel is a short walk to the collection of bars and restaurants that Moalboal has to offer. Would stay again and would recommend.
