We were very happy. This is not in Harrismith town though, so we struggled to find it. There was only one staff member to see to all our needs (reception, admin, restaurant), which was a little frustrating, but we enjoyed our stay.

Amazing views”
An incredibly scenic motel in the Drakensberg region. We stopped here on our way down South from Kruger and were not disappointed, as it provided us access to areas where we could go on a short hike and stretch our legs. The staff were friendly and helpful and there is access to a lounge area / restaurant / bar with a big screen, which is great for weary travellers.

Arrived at ten in the evening. Buzzed the intercom. Called on cell. No answer. Was unable to enter the premises. Had to go to another hotel a way away. Won’t try this place again. Awful.

We have stopped at the Pyramids Motel many times and always enjoy our stay there. This time there were a few small glitches, but this would not stop us from returning. They should make sure they have a few different varieties of beer in the bar, not just castle or castle lite. Not everyone will drink just any beer. They also had no teabags to make tea. That just is not acceptable in any establishment that caters for guests. But we are living in difficult trying times at the moment, so b
