Cheap, cheerful, no complaints”
I actually live in Jakarta but had an exam close to this location and stayed at Puri Mega so I wouldn't have to brave the traffic in the morning. So for location it was perfect for me, just down the road. But for all other things, it kind of feels in the middle of nowhere. No malls, restaurants around really. However the Transjakarta bus stop is right in front of the hotel and can take you into central jakarta in around 20 minutes. The room was nice. I took the deluxe seeing as it was so cheap and it more than met my standards for 25 pounds! Nice big bed, big tv with HBO, discovery etc, en suite bathroom which had just been tiled with a rain shower, a writing desk. The room was a little small if you had two people but it's fine, especially for one. My only negative point would be that the main door to the room is cheap and thin so I could hear everyone walking passed and what they had to say to one another.

i have visited jakarta 3 times now i have stayed at other hotels but always end up going back to puri mega hotel because of its location and value for money because it fits in with my budget and the rooms are very good.i prefer the superior room or the deluxe room.good clean room with a nice bed and hot water in the shower as some hotels of similar value do not have hot shower.had a pleasant stay every time. its centrally located close to busway and shopping centres plenty of taxis waiting outside or bajaj.

during my stay at puri mega i think the staff are so friendly and helpful.the rooms are big but the mattress and the pillows need to be replaced for the convenient of the guest to sleep at night.the hotel are not far from tanah abang and block m mall.

2nd stay here, serves its purpose”
This is perfect location for an exam centre that I have to go to twice a year. It's cheap for delux room. Beds is comfy, writing desk present and the food is so cheap and really nice. Hotel is of course nothing special but for the price it's perfect.

For the price it is definately worth it for a couple of days in transit. Staff are helpful but not used to dealing with foriegners and english. A little understanding will get you a long way.

The worst Hotel of Jakarta (Java) ”
Our first plan was to be one night in the Puri Mega Hotel, then to Bogor or an national Park and then back to Puri Mega. We haven't get a room in Bogor, so we stayed all night in Puri Mega. Nevertheless we wanted to stay all nights in the same room. It was not possible. First night we have had a standard room with dirty, stinky bathroom and an air condition that didn't work. Second night we have have to change the room an get a nice clean cuperior room. We wanted to stay in the superior room and told the receptionist. They have had more superior rooms but were not that flexible. So third night we have to go back in the same stinky dirty room with the not working air condition. It was in our three weeks Indonesia the worst Hotel. By the way the Puri Mega charges also by the hour.

It was ok ”
It was a very last minute booking as all hotels in jakarta were full! I decided to look up on agoda what was available and found this at a very low rate. Once booked i took taxi to go there. I was expecting free wifi and bars but they got none. Moved to another hotel the next morning but once again it was really an emergency stay so i couldnt ask much.

If you are looking for cheap hotel i recomended this. Centralised. Please take note no mobile network in room except simpati.network only available at the lobby area. Only local breafast served. For night life goers this is suitable hotel and budget travellers. And for dangdut lovers its available in the hotel.
