Best Hotel we have ever been to”

puri mas is by far the best hotel i have ever been worldwide. my wife and i spent 2 nights at the hotel, truly speaking it's the greatest hotel. we took a taxi from the city to the hotel, which is a little after senggigi town. the reception is so good, the ppl working are so friendly and would love to help in all ways. sarah who was there on the 2nd day, was so helpful. the beach is much better then other places in senggigi, the hotel is a peace of art, no words or photos can explain.. the owner is so talented, i don't think he is doing it for money, he is an artist doing each room very unique. the gardens and path to the restaurant and the pool are just so amazing.. you can walk on the beach and find good places to swim, and even rent surf boards from the locals around. during the day you wonder where to sit, from your amazing room (yes all types of room, we tried 3) or go to the pool area, while you are swimming you can see the beach (even it's not on the same level) the view is incredible. the breakfast is simple and very good. the view from the restaurant is unbeatable. also, you may take a free shuttle to the other puri spa resort, which is a different story.. i won't say it here, you need to go yourself... as my wife and i are still going to bali, we asked if they have puri mas at bali, but they don't :( happy wife = happy life, and my wife loves it so much. i strongly recommend for honeymooners, people who want to relax, and couples ;) puri mas you rock!!

Gorgeous, relaxing oasis on the beach”

We arrived at Puri Mas after climbing to the crater rim of Mt. Rinjani...and what a wonderful oasis this resort was for two very weary, very dirty travelers! They showed us to our Bungalow and brought us our pineapple welcome drinks and we were in heaven! The accomodations are lovely, with traditional Balinese doors and plenty of local art scattered throughout the premises. Our Cozy Bungalow was a good size for two, with a comfortably firm bed and a great outdoor shower. The water pressure was quite poor initially, but we asked to have it fixed and it was fine after that. The infinity pool looks towards the beach and is absolutely gorgeous, as well as free to all resort guests. We spent several hours there relaxing after the climb! There is a woman who gives complimentary 10 min shoulder massages by the pool - try her out, she is great! Food at the resort is excellent, and there are both Indonesian and Western options. I loved the Gado Gado wih tofu and tempeh! The Naughty Chocolate Pudding was excellent as well. We went to the Puri Mas Spa Resort for a massage at night, which is located in a separate facility about 2 km away from the main resort (this is where the owner lives). The hotel proides free transport. The grounds are quite beautiful, but I was less than thrilled with my massage - I've had better in many countries in SE Asia - and I was slightly annoyed that there were no shower facilities after my very oily massage. For the price (245,000 Rp), I would have expeted a better massage. Breakfast at the resort is buffet style and really excellent! We took the time before checkout to lay by the pool again, it was so peaceful! Next time, I would look into booming one of the beautiful private poolside villas if I were to travel to Lombok again.

Excellent Resort, great hospitality!”

Fabulous place and great location too at Senggigi beach! Cozy budget room was incredible with almost all the amenities that you may anticipate from a Deluxe room; the only difference being of the room size. The outside covered patio with sofa and chairs compensates for all. Overall architecture demonstrates local culture of Bali which is indeed beautiful. Food was lovely and so was the hospitality. Entire staff is very friendly with smiles on their faces! Will try to assist you with whatever best they can do! Took the waterfall tour from the resort which was an amazing and comfortable experience. Also availed Spa (highly recommended) from the Puri Mas Spa resort where you go to via the free shuttle. Puri Mas Spa resort is another great resort that we may stay the next time as you feel very close to luxury and nature. The owner is a great, jolly person and an amazing recognized ball dancer. It was a pleasure to meet him. He had organized a Latin dance event for the dinner wherein little local kids exhibited a fantastic performance. They are being sponsored and trained by the owner from the earnings of the resort which is a commendablework! Will definitely go again as its an experience you would want to have again and again!

Relaxing stay among positive energy”

Felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff were friendly and helpful. We later learned about how Puri Mas came into being, the graciousness of the owner and how he engages with his staff (everyone gets to take dancing lessons), the ways he contributes back to the island (sponsoring dance competitions, rehabilitating injured wildlife) and how he has a passion for hospitality and Puri Mas guests. There are 2 resorts, both highly recommended - one facing the beach (where we stayed) and one facing the mountains (where we spent a day attending the spa and enjoying the facilitates including interacting with the parrots). The resort grounds are well landscaped with much space allowing for solitude (I enjoyed meditating there) or socialisation (having drinks facing the sea). This attention to detail in architecture, incorporating beautiful flora and creation of tranquil surroundings is sorely missing in most resorts I've been to around the world as the focus is often cramming as many rooms as they can into the available land. I will surely return to Puri Mas resort and Lombok.

Great Location the Beach Resorts”

We completely enjoyed our stay at Puri Mas Boutique Beach Resorts. We were actually booked at Puri has Garden View at Spa Resort, but thinking it was by the beach, looking from the internet pictures. Fortunately, we were being upgraded to the Beach Resort. It was very nice of the them to do that. However, it's rather confusing and not well-explained that there are 2 different properties of Puri Mas; one at Spa Resort and the other is at Beach Resort. Both are nice, but for those who want to be by the beach, to see and hear the ocean, the Beach Resort is the place. All the staff were great, very friendly, and totally professional. We will come back for sure and recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you, Sarah and thank you Marcel for making our holiday and my American friend's holiday-Nancy- so enjoyable.

Good, but not great”

Puri Mas is located on beautifully curated grounds, and we enjoyed the privacy of our jacuzzi suite (though it's unfortunate that the sun never hits the jacuzzi, leaving it a bit too cold to enjoy at length). The Puri Mas Spa (located at a separate facility) is a must! The setting is unbelievable and massages fantastic. We were glad we stayed at the beach location, but definitely recommend taking the free shuttle to the spa. Sadly, we found service at Puri Mas Beach Resort to be a clear step down from other hotels we stayed at in Lombok and Bali. We ended up arriving a day late due to flight issues, and had let the hotel know in advance that we'd be checking in early on the 2nd day of our booking. When we arrived, they told us we couldn't check in until 2 pm, despite the fact that we were paying for the night before. We were able to argue our way into the room, but had to wait until they set it up. They also advertised free yoga classes, but when we showed up no one was there and the front desk just shrugged that the instructor wasn't coming. We understand that plans might shift, but advance notice would be nice for short-term guests scheduling their vacation around the hotel's offerings. It was generally difficult to communicate with the front desk. All in all, it was a good stay and the grounds are beautiful, but service could be improved.

pure relaxation at the ocean front”

Choosing Puri MAs was the best decision i made in Lombok.What peaceful balinese setting hat just sets a heavenly peace in your mind. Overlooking a beautiful ocean ,just sit back relax and unwind with a cocktail or Bintang .I was here with friends.We chose to stay in partial ocean view room -Room no 1 -right in front of beach. Lovely outdoor seating area and open concept bathroom and cosy bed with soft fluffy pillows.My other friend took the Cosy Budget which was equally great though a bit smaller.The staffs were all friendly and always willing to help u in any way.Went over to Purimas Spa which was wonderful as well and what aplesant surprise to meet MR Marcell the owner who was such a gentleman.The infinity pool was great but bear in mind that it is 1.6m . so if u are not a swimmer and not as tall ,the beach will be your friend. AS for dining u can always eat at the hotel or just take the cab to Sengigi town whre there are many restaurants and cafes ard. Interested in tours ,u cant book directly from Puri Mas or there is a another option form a cafe hut along the beach. there will be small traders along the beach who are just making a living so if you are not interested just say no politely .If i ever come back to Lombok this is where i will stay....is all about having a peaceful lovely stress free holiday...i dont see what was all the negative complains about.Pls bear in mind there is no Tv but internet connection was quite good. Room Tip: I was very happy with my room .Claasic partial ocean view.....the rest are just as good in their own...

Beyond Satisfaction!”

Me and my husband really enjoyed this trip to Lombok! Its our first time to Lombok and i'm glad i choose the fantastic resorts for our stays. Thanks for the Agoda members's reviewed too! Agoda member's staying experience and reviewed does help a lot! Puri Mas managed by the Dutch owner himself and her sister in the resort. They are extremely friendly and the staffs are very helpful. Generally, we will come back for sure! Only one exception, we had massage at Puri Mas Resort and we hope the masseurs can put on deodorant maybe? Sorry but don't feel offensive ya, we only hope the best during the whole pleasant and relax session....Cheers!

Paradise on Earth”

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Puri Mas. It was an out of this world experience for myself and my friend. The resort where we stayed and the spa were aesthetically pleasing. There were plenty of activities and facilities that we could access all throughout the day. The environment is so calming, welcoming and soothing to the soul. The food was fantastic in both resorts. I especially enjoyed Chef Ahmad's cooking. It was scrumptious. All the staff treated us with so much kindness, respect and love. They went out of the way to meet our needs and we commend you for all your sincere efforts and we are most grateful. The spa resort had a homely feeling to it surrounded by plants and animals. The resort was also so rich in culture as every nook and corner was decorated with ornaments, statues and Indonesian art and craft. It was like being in a museum and there is actually a museum in the spa which has a wonderful collection of antiques worth visiting. You can never go wrong with Puri Mas:)

Nice resort”

This is our 1st time trip to Lombok, and glad that we have choose Puri Mas as our accommodation for 3 nights! Puri Mas really a Wonderful Resort, friendly staff, Tasty Food, Nice View, and Great SPA treatment. The Resort make us have a memorable trip over at Lombok. Smiling face on all the staff there make our happy day☺️ Thanks to all the staff especially Yoyo, happy chit chatting with all the staff over there Definitely will go back again Puri Mas for our next Lombok trip

Beautiful stay at Puri Mas”

We loved staying at Puri Mas. The staff was especially friendly: Tia, Akredia, Toni, Rizal, Putu. The hotel wasn't too crowded at all, and if it was full, you'd never have known, as there are many different areas in which you can be; most even forget that you can go to the Spa resort 2 km up the road from the Beach Resort. We were there one Saturday and only shared the pool with the manager's husband and 2 other guests. Otherwise, it was completely secluded. I loved the little nooks that you could escape to in order to get away from everything else, though I didn't really use them too much. The revitalizing pool is set off in a remote part of the spa, and it's a nice (but chilly!) place to relax. We did get massages at the Spa, which were very good, though pretty standard (from the few I've ever had). The food was delicious and very well-priced. They fog to keep away mosquitos, though it's only once a week and not a bothersome smell afterward. I didn't see a mosquito the whole time, except up at the Spa. The only thing in the whole resort that seemed a little off was the music played in the restaurant; it seemed a bit like they were bending over backwards to please western tourists, with Kid Rock playing one lunch. I learned later that the staff can pick what they want to play, so maybe that's what they like and it's just fine. Overall, a great stay and I would recommend to anyone!

Nice hotel with friendly stuff”

I went to puri mas for a short break, just two nights with my husband. We booked a standard room with agoda which was night. The room was not nice and we upgraded to another one which was lovely, I would say a HUGE improvement from the standard room. The new room was night, had a lovely patio with a jacuzzi. The bedroom and the bathroom were big and nice. The resort is beautiful with a super nice setting and the stuff very friendly (I have to add everyone in Lombok was super friendly and nice to us, everyone was chatty in this island!). The pool area is quiet, beautiful overlooking the sea and the peaceful beach. A bad downside: the breakfast is not good (and you have to pay extra if you want a cappuccino). The resort could be easily become a 5 stars boutique hotel with a little touch since the beautiful setting is already there (breakfast!!). We tried the SPA, the setting was nice but my therapist was so so (my husband's therapist was very good) and the oil they are using are not nice.

The most romantic hideaway in NTB ”

This is my third stay at the Puri Mas, and I was delighted as usual. Wonderful location and a great stretch of beach north of Sengigi with some of the best sunsets around, as well as views of Mt. Agung across the water in Bali. Owner Marcel's design and aesthetic sense never fail to make you feel enchanted around every corner. It is a small and intimate place with rooms that feel very private and luxurious no matter what level of room you choose. The staff is well trained, friendly, and welcoming. The nicest part of staying at the Puri Mas is that Marcel is an active member of the local community, training students in dance and providing scholarships, and giving opportunities for local vocational students to get hands-on training at the resort. Marcel and his manager treat their staff and the locals living around the beach near the resort with courtesy and respect, which is important in this rapidly developing tourist area of Lombok. Highly recommended.

beyond expectations”

we stayed at puri mas beach resort last week, and my only regret was not staying longer and canceling our 2 nights in gili t. the hotel is beautifully landscaped with funny sculptures all over, and beautiful frangipani (or plumeria) all over. the welcome was warm, with a welcome drink delivered to our room - and a bathtub full of water and flowers - so inviting! we were met with delight our whole stay. the best part and what will make me come back and tell all my friends about puri mas, is that i emailed them after i got back from my trip about some jewelry i thought i left behind and they responded within the hour! telling me they found the items, had taken pics of them to show me, and asked me for my address to send it back to me. amazing. just outstanding customer service. with any great place, you would secretly like to keep it as your secret getaway and no one elses, but i have to recommend this place to anyone staying in lombok and would venture to guess it's better than most places in bali as well. amazing choice of villas. i cannot say enough good things about this place and our stay. thank you.

we were very pleased and happy with our experience at puri mas, the location is stunning and the rooms were beautiful and unique. we also found the staff so wonderful and they always made that extra effort to ensure our stay at puri mas was perfect. during our stay all guests were all invited to sunset drinks with the owner/ manager of the resort. the manager, was a really lovely and very professional, which reflected on the wonderful vibe of puri mas. we learned from a local that puri mas means 'gold castle' and it truly was. we most definitely will be staying there again when we return to lombok. thankyou puri mas :)

Excellent stay at Puri Mas”

The resort itself is fantastic, nestled away in a quiet area of the beach with easy access to neighbouring hotels for variations of food and drink if you desire. The resort is less than 5 mins taxi from the town of Sengiggi, however to be honest the town is very small with only a few restaurants and bars anyway so not a huge amount going on. For a relaxing experience, the location of this resort is fantastic with many easily accessible options available for food/drink either at the neighbouring hotels or within the town of Sengiggi itself. We stayed in a Single Bedroom Villa with private pool - along the beach, and we also visited the Spa Resort (5 mins car ride from beach resort) for a range of treatments that were fantastic and very resonably priced. Having visited many resorts worldwide, this is definitely towards the top of the list if you are looking for a relaxing getaway, however if you are looking for night life, this is probably not the resort for you - Not just Puri Mas, but the area of Sengiggi itself. I would 100% re-visit this resort in the future for a relaxing long weekend or weeks getaway.

Wonderful stay at Puri Mas”

We loved our 3 night stay at Puri Mas. The owner and his family were wonderful hosts. The staff is amazing and the grounds of the resort are impeccable. The location is on a beautiful, quiet beach but close to the restaurants of Senggigi. It’s a great base to return to after a day exploring the island on a motorbike. And we were fortunate to experience a ballroom dancing show featuring the owner’s students, who are Lombok natives and Indonesia champions. Highly recommend this resort for a relaxing stay on Lombok!

Puri Mas, Lombok, Review 3 May 2017”

Stayed with my wife at the Puri Mas for 6 nights in late April/early May 2017 and was also joined by my daughter and boyfriend for a couple of nights during our stay. We both had very clean, spacious and well appointed villas with small private pools and, although not inexpensive, the accommodation was worth every penny (rupiah). The beds were so comfortable, the villas so spacious and well-cooled by the aircon and the bathrooms so beautifully designed, that we could not fault the Puri Mas in any way. The food in the restaurant was tasty and excellent, and only marginally more expensive than other restaurants outside the establishment, the attentive, helpful service and friendliness of the staff was unparalleled and the breakfasts were fit for a king. Even the beachfront location could not be improved upon, with the huge volcano on Bali often clearly visible from the end of the hotel's lovely infinity pool. The only slight negative to our holiday was the weather, as we were unlucky enough to catch a fair amount of rainfall at the end of the rainy season, but otherwise our holiday at Puri Mas was pretty much perfect in every way. I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone travelling to the island of Lombok.

Wonderful and relaxing getaway”

We had the most relaxing and wonderful time staying in Puri Mas Beach Resort. Everyone in the resort makes us so welcomed. We stayed in the jacuzzi suite. The room and the veranda was so beautiful and clean that we spent most of our time there. The sunset was awesome while enjoying the drinks at the infinity pool. I had enjoyed the spa tremendously at Puri Mas Spa resort but unfortunately I could not get an appointment on the second day because of short of therapist. That was a great pity. We would like to suggest to have happy hour by the bottle too not just by the glass since you cannot order the sparkling wine/champagne by the glass. We will definitely come back again!

Amazing in every possible way”

We had a great time in Puri Mas. The staff is outstanding and they went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. The infinity pool is the crown jewel and most of the time we had it to ourselves since many guests go on day tours. The bungalows are traditionally decorated, but also have with AC and an outdoor terrace (with coffee table and chairs, as well as an extra bed!), and the outdoor bathroom is spacious (all amenities provided). There's a water fountain and kettle in the room and they also provide coffee (Nescafe) and tea bags. There are also sarongs in the room at the guests disposal. There is a Bagus Divers stand close to the pool where you can arrange snorkeling and diving tours. Other tours are also available and the resort provides a free shuttle to Senggigi every day at 11am. A free yoga class on Wednesdays and Saturdays is also provided. Happy hour in the resort is from 5 to 7pm (25% discount). 2km from the beach resort is the Puri Mas Garden Resort which includes a spa. The price list is provided upon checkin and guests enjoy a 10% discount. Service was impecable. We even met the owner in one of the special evening events (traditional dance) who was kind enough to come to our table and ask about our stay. This personal touch certainly makes the difference.
