Great stay and location”

I love this place for its presentation, convenience and location. The commute from the airport to the apartment is short which helps for those relying on public transportation and even for foreigners who don’t want to spend their first 20 mins in a foreign place learning road rules and following a map/nav in a language you don’t understand. Proximity has the best 2 bedroom apartments fitted out with all the amentities that you need and adding on to that it is right next to the massive Manukau westfields where you can pop in for shopping and food experiences (even catch a movie in the cinema all at walking distance of 1 minute). Check in process is generally effortless however I did come in to a run in with system issues that meant checking in longer than usual and being provided keys to a room I didn’t pay for. The receptionist was forgiving of my tone and demands and was able to rectify my situation immediately even though it seemed it wasn’t going to be possible due to max capacity

Great accommodation and good service”

my wife and i have stayed in many hotels, motels around nz, australia and the pacific and we have found this to be the best for price and location. the high rise building gave you that feeling of space, you were not cramped up in a small area. we have made this our hotel whenever we are in auckland. close by are the motorways to auckland city, airport and west auckland.

Nice and clean hotel next to Westfiled centre”

We arrived quite late at the hotel but the duty manager greeted us with keys, instructions and wi-fi password. The next morning the same manager showed us how to get to the airport by public transport and reserved a convenient bay in the car park for our mini-bus. The room size is reasonable for a 1 bedroom apartment with cooking and washing facilities. Westfield shopping centre is across the road so no problem with eating places. Other shops are also found in the surrounding area. If time and luggage are not a problem, take the orange bus from/to airport ($4 each way) to/from Manukau. The bus stop is just behind the apartment.

Wished I could have stayed longer”

If you are a shopaholic you will love this hotel! So close to major shopping mall, food court, with other shops, restaurants, supermarket less than 5 minutes away. The 14th level studio room was modern, comfortable, clean, and had a kitchenette, washing machine and drier. Has a lovely little balcony, and we loved the beautiful views of the lights at night. The hotel has its own secure carpark at a cost of 5 dollars per night.It is in close proximity to the airport, motorway, train station, and bus stop outside the mall. Will definitely stay here again.

Modern, uniquely designed apartments”

We arrived in the early morning (and later than usual) following our drive up from Rotorua. After hours check-in was possible at our arrival time of close to 0100hrs! The gentleman who greeted us was polite and we did feel a bit guilty for waking him up! We chose Proximity Apartments due to its location which is near to Auckland International Airport. The airport is accessible following a short drive on the motorway; approximately 10-15 minutes by car. Car park and WiFi internet was complimentary. As for the apartment, we had a unit on the top floor; unit 1602, a 2-bedroom apartment. The design was fairly compact by New Zealand standards but sufficient for a night's stay. There were plenty of full-height and large glass windows in the unit. The bedrooms respectively comprised of a double-bed and a single-bed. As the unit was located at the corner, we had interesting views of the surroundings and could even spot the airport! There was a small kitchenette with complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. Overall, the unit was habitable and had basic amenities to make it a short and fairly comfortable stay which was much needed towards the end of our short break in New Zealand. I would consider a return to Proximity Apartments if we were in similar travel circumstances and needed a roof over our head before departing for the airport!

small and convenient”

After eventually finding the apartments, we were briskly given keys to our apartment and shown the door.Our Apartment a one bedroom was tiny with a fold out sofa that would make it a "family" room, it would be incredibly tight if you actually had to do that, thankfully we didn't. Wifi kept dropping out and then eventually wouldn't let us access it at all due to too many customers logging in? The apartment s are right next to a large shopping mall and a theme park which would make them very convenient for families. We mainly booked for their close proximity to the airport(20 mins drive) as we had an early flight catch.The kitchenette was sufficient with plenty of cooking utensils and even a coffee plunger, there was also a washer and dryer in the bathroom if you needed one.Very small apartment though, hardly enough spare space to unpack your bag, probably great if you want to get intimate with someone though ;)

Handy”

lts very convenient being next to Manukau shopping centre for dining choice and having a washing machine and drier in the room helps towards the end of a sales trip also 10 mins to the airport is convenient . A word of warning if you happen to park in the wrong space the locals are feral .

Enjoyable stay”

Very enjoyable,good size room with Balcony. Next to shoping center and Food Court. 35 mins by train to central Auckland. Thats the biggest negative the distance from Auckland center.Everything else was very good.

location is very good, access to airport is just 15 mins, by taxi or by airporter 380 bus, train station is nearby. sevice was good, Reena at front desk was very courteous and helpful too. facilities in the 1 bdrm apartment is excellent, bed to cutlery, all perfect. balcony, good view and fresh cool air. close to Warehouse, Pak n Save, Westfields, Nandos,. MACD etc.

Comfortable Stay”

This apartment was small but very clean, tidy and modern. The room had a great balcony that could be used even in the rain and had a great view over the city. It is in a convenient location right near supermarkets, coffee shops and the Westfield shopping centre and wasn't hard to get to from the airport. The staff were also very friendly. Thanks.

Very nice Apartment”

We really enjoyed our stay at this Apartment,it had everything we needed. It is in a good location so if you didn't want to make your own meals there are plenty of good eating places close by. Our room had a nice outlook with table and chairs in the enclosed balcony. We would definitely stay here again. It is great for doing early morning airport pick up's.

Location & View”

100m from Westfields Manukau. Corner suite with great views and 3 balconies. Had everything we needed. Receptionist was awesome.

Suitable for a long stay”

We were pleasantly surprised by all the facilities in the room. Our stay on the 15th floor made it possible to enjoy a fireworks display down below. Our room was very clean although we were disappointed it was not serviced while we were there but it wasn't really a big deal.We would certainly recommend it to anyone visiting Auckland.

Exceptional”

Good location being 5 minutes drive to work which in Auckland is a huge bonus. I've stayed 3 different times over the last month and have always found the staff friendly and helpful and couldn't fault the cleanliness of the room

neat rooms with easy access to shops”

Close to airport and shops. If you need to stay near Auckland airport before heading for a trip around the north island or before heading overseas this is a great place. Takes one night bookings too. Rooms are very tidy and neat. There is an enclosed balcony and during my stay I could see fireworks from here which was cool.

Save Time, Budget”

Our short stay was awesome,The Apartment we stayed in, is a studio like we had a self contained cooking area, fridge, washing machine, dryer, iron, and of cause free Wifi, just 2 mins walk to Westfield Manakau Shopping Mall, 10 mins to Manakau shopping center, Food centers just a door away, 5 mins to Train and Bus Station, 10 mins walk to Rainbows end Children's attraction Center, Restaurants around the area, Good for Value, Nothing to say, I would recommend this Apartment to my friends and will come back again

Excellent”

Excellent location with West field across the road. Had to pay $10 per day for parking, however the parking was secured. the room was rather small, however all the facilities were available such as cooking, washing, and all hotel facilities. The apartments rates at 4.5 star accommodation, I think that is a bit high for it, it would be more like a 3.5 star as it is starting to age and the only thing going for it is it's location.
