Continues stay .....”

This is my fourth booking for POP Hotel Stasiun Surabaya Kota from Agoda. The hotel offering some simple dishes during dinner time (such as Oxtail Soup , Fired Vegetable , Chicken with pepper / BBQ sauce , Fired Rice .......all the foods with a reasonable price and large portions , it’s cheaper than eating in food court / Restaurants (coz no need pay tax and service charge !! ) , although there have some street food stalls nearby , but they all are very dirty and no hygiene .

Better than Diponegoro Branch”

Well,, I found a stain on the bed sheet, head of shower and bathroom mostly when I 0ay closer attention of course. The location is not really good because I have to walk a bit far to find atm and it takes time when I order a food online. The parking lot staff when I come is not really good to help me parking, so I think the management team should teach him more because THANKS TO HIM and DUE TO HIS STUBBORN DIRECTION I bump my side automatic mirror againts the wall. The staff is great because they are smiling a lot, very friendly and communicative. I also love the way the cleaning staff knock on my door to offer me her service. Also love the fact that alfa express inside the hotel that open 24/7. I have tried all 3 pop hotel in surabaya and I think this is the 2nd best of all. But if I have to consider the price as well then this branch is 1st. Well, since I stay here because I want to get some rest from a hectic city life and though I choose this hotel despite a mere curiousity, I am still think that I chose well. Have all what you need at a convenient location”

I am very impressed with my stay in POP Hotel Waspada. Stayed there three times this year, staffs are exceptional and very friendly. The last time I stayed, she even remembered my name and greeted me with my first name. Convenient location just across from Pasar Atom where is basically the best spot to shop and eat in Surabaya, plus within walking distance from my family's home (this is pretty much the main reason I always stay here). Wi-Fi connection is fast, room is sufficient size, bed is comfortable and TV has a lot of foreign channels. The main drawback I think is the water. I have to run the water in the bathroom for quite a while (15 to 20 minutes) before actually shower as the water almost smells like a gutter, but it smells slightly better after I let it run for a while. I have stayed in 3 different rooms in different floors, and all water in the shower smells the same. It will also be better if room is equipped with hairdryer. Breakfast is just OK (coffee used to have milk to go with it but they no longer provide milk when I stayed there last week), but great deal including the room so no complaint there, moreover, if we are not happy with the food from the hotel, outside foods are cheap and nearby, plus there are multiple choices. Will definitely stay there again next time I visit Surabaya.

This is my 2nd time stay at Pop Hotel Stasiun Kota. I stayed for 2 nights. Strategic location because very near with Pasar Atom. If I go to Surabaya again, off course I will stay here again.

Love the hotel and the room, minimalistic interior designs with fresh colours are surely welcoming young people. The room is clean, the shower is fantastic. For single or couple, the small room shouldn't be a problem, but for a family it might be challenging. Anyway they have 24hr Alfa Mart (convenience store) at the lobby, which is great to get drinks and snacks at anytime - even though the hotel doesn't have minibar or fridge in the room. Pasar Atum, which might be one of the most popular shopping center in the entire Indonesia is just opposite the hotel, so ladies would love this heavenly location. Breakfast was decent, with only 2-3 types of food to choose but they taste great, so those who complained about breakfast.. duh, how much did you pay to expect a full set of buffet breakfast? Even without breakfast this place is still great. I would rather wake up late and have brunch at Pasar Atum. Love this hotel, and for sure I will be back here next time I'm in Surabaya.

A Quirky Yet Comfy Place”

As we missed our flights due to a plane crash at Surabaya airport, we booked this hotel last-minute close to midnight. We feel this was a great choice. The room is very modern (the neon-green walls might get too much after a few days though), and the bed was incredibly comfortable and we managed to get the best sleep we've had during our 3-week trip in Bali and Lombok. There's also a 24/7 convenience shop right in the hotel lobby, so you can buy snacks, drinks, and other basic things you might want. We were originally going to just stay that night but because the airlines refused to give us a refund for our three consecutive flights, we thought we might as well stay an extra day to explore the city as we have never been here before, and we were very happy to stay an extra night at this hotel. The breakfast is pretty decent too, for a free one, and you have a few options. They seem to change it up a bit everyday too (note that they don't have a restaurant that serves lunch/dinner). The eco thing is kind of interesting. The hotel purports to be eco-friendly and use solar-panels and things which is great, but then the complimentary water bottle has this massive heavy plastic lid. They do have a water dispenser in the lobby though where you can refill it for free (we read that plastic bottles are a problem in Indonesia and we regret not bringing our own camping water-filter to avoid purchasing water), so maybe request to not have them replace them everyday once you get your first one.

Value for Money”

The hotel is value for money with local breakfast. Room design is modern and clean. The location is quiet at night but busy at day. To go to the city center will take around 10 mins taxi ride to biggest mall in Surabaya, Tunjungan Plaza, and Kfc, Mcdonald. The train station is quite near. Overall, simple stay and worth for the money we paid.

Pop hotel is situated in front of Pasar Atum Mall, of where you could go shopping as well as for it's culinary, and other needs. Pop is a new hotel with colorful room doors, serving a clean and comfortable rooms with a competitive price. No coffee/tea, nor hot drink water in the room, also no hotel slippers.

Still a good choice for stay in Surabaya ”

This time is my third stay in this hotel within the past one year. The price not expensive , and location is good , easy for take bluebird taxi or Uber /Grab . Staffs are polite and can speaking with English (in Indonesia many hotel staff cannot speaking with English , Especially in budget hotel ) . Cool AC , Hot Shower ....... coz POP hotel is a chain hotel, no need worry about the standard.

located near train station. very close to small mall of pasar atum. lots of eateries up to 5pm. but plentiful outside the mall. room has good facilities including safe. WiFi is ok. breakfast just so so. non smoking room but smoking area provided outside dining area. room is new a typical of pop hotel chain. ask for high floor as it has good view. hotel located in old city area (Chinatown). taxi rank just outside the hotel. recommended

Everything just standart as the price paid”

I stayed Pop Hotel due to attending a church conference for 3 days and the location of the hotel with the church is only walking distance. I had a bad experience while staying in Pop Hotel Teuku Umar Bali, so I may not consider to stay in Pop Hotel if it not because of the location of the conference. But, I can say Pop Hotel Stasiun Kota Surabaya is much cleaner than Pop hotel Bali which traumatized me. Everything ok with the price paid, only the breakfast dissapointed because during my stay the hotel fully booked with the participants of conference, so we have to wait to for the food and the choice were so limited until nothing to eat. Lucky there was a mini market next to restaurant, so we can buy things to eat rather than hoping to get the hotel breakfast.

very comfortable room - minimalist concept, new and clean. Nice and helpful staffs, location wise - near pasar atom and stasiun kota, worth the money. Would love to stay here again!

considering the money we paid, pop hotel exceeded our expectation, after an avg night at ibis budget ( very small room ), we got a spacious room at pop, an ok breakfast , and a very good location. i would recommend this hotel to my colleagues or family

Good Place to Stay for Biz”

I love this hotel, especially the view from my window! the room was sooo good, clean and comfort bed to sleep on. But was so upset about the breakfast, no many option like Pop Hotel Gubeng, the waitress not so friendly, she gave very small portion of veggie! that's not breakfast! but anyway thank you for the 1 night stay, it was good to stay here

A hotel of its class ”

With the many budget chains in the market today (Oyo, Reddoorz) POP gives a more ideal stay though at a higher price tag (not way too much), but it has the class of its own. The POP I stayed at is within walking distance to Pasar Atom, ITC etc and ordering grab / gojek is rather easy too.

A traveller's gem”

One can pretty much find a criticism in most hotels. As for Pop Hotel, the breakfast doesn't really cater for the average westerner, however, there are two massive shopping malls five minutes away with restaurants. I did ask to change room because of the Islamic call to prayers at 4am, the hotel did so willingly,. Forgot to mention there is a micro convenient store, fantastic!

Despite its simplicity ”

POP! has surprisingly plenty of reliable features: hot water, wi-fi, international tv channels, and comfortable bed. Although this hotel is considered as a budget hotel, breakfast tastes surprisingly delicious. Moreover, the staffs are generally friendly and ready to help.

Best choice for budget room ! ”

Attractive price with spacious and comfortable room . Although not in the city centre , but there have a bluebird taxi pick up point which outside the hotel . To airport only RP 150K . No need cheating by other local taxi and some fxxxing uber / grab car driver (beware in Indonesia some uber / Grabcar driver will cancel the trip after you boarded in his car , then asking you pay more) . This hotel above the standard for what you paid for . Don’t expect too much in Indonesia.

Friendly staff and affordable price”

Abit far from center but around the hotel got mini mart and also shopping mall. Some local food stalls too. But regret to inform that the hotel doesnt provide hair dryer.
