Perfectly fine for where you need to be”
Chances are if you are at the Pondok Wisata Adas it is because you want to see Mt. Bromo nice and early. In this respect the accommodation here is perfectly adequate, and as reasonably priced as anything else in this area. Only problem was the hotel having no knowledge of our booking through Agoda, as they said they did not have internet access, and as we didn't have a receipt this was problematic. Also breakfast here starts at 8am, so stock up on snacks if you plan on being awake at 3:30 like us.

Simple hostel with nice staff”
This hostel is not the most clean or up to date but the location is good, close to the base of the mountain so you can easily walk to Bromo. The staff was really friendly and helpful and took the time to understand me, which is one of the most important things for me. They do not provide airport transfer as listed on agoda. They helped me arrange a taxi eventually but it seems they don’t do it often. I also did not have WiFi in my room for most of my stay, but the signal is strong close to the lobby. It is also a little noisy as there are is some woodwork detail around the door that is actually open to the outside.

New Hotel”
Relatively new hotel in the area. Your best bet if the other more established hotels are fully booked. Hotel is located 5-10min walk away from the restaurants/stores. Laid-back and excellent views. Facilities were not working well. Water boiler wasn't working, and shower did not have hot water initially. However, staff were very helpful and responsive when we notified them. Immediately got a replacement for the water boiler and the shower was repaired. Shower temperature fluctuates between ice cold and unbelievably scorching hot! The restaurant only serves fried rice (very tasty though!) for breakfast, and only breakfast. You need to walk 10min to the restaurants for lunch/dinner. Overall a reasonable stay. My only real requirement was hot water shower in the cold temperatures, and Adas delivered that (for most of the time).

There is very little competition in accommodations you can pre-book on line. Go with very low expectations so you won't be disappointed. It is a good place to rest (you won't sleep, it will remain noisy the whole night) before getting up very, very early in the morning to visit the Mt Bromo. Try to pre-organise your trip, once in Cemoro lawang it gets very,pricy and difficult because no one speaks English and they all protect each others income. (Little space to bargain) Worth the visit but be prepared to pay quite a bit of money for this experience!

Noisy roadside hotel not meant for sleep ”
The only 2 plus points about this place is 1) bed is really clean 2) breakfast portion was small bit tasty. The minus : you can clearly hear the Jeep's honk outside, even worse is the chatters from your jetlagged neighbors which are clearly audible as the wall is open style at the top and that ceiling has holes. The toilet and bathroom facility is a joke and that if you decided to walk to Bromo they will promptly come to your room and ask for entrance fee of 220,000 per person (and you have no option in not paying. Let's just put it this way) stay here only if you have a noise canceling headphone / earplugs and that you don't need to shower.

this hotel is not worth for the price, bed sheet was little bit dirty, toilet did not work and splashes were everywhere in bathroom, we wanted to go to bromo early morning but they said they will cook breakfast when more guests come (and it was just so so), staff was friendly and the view from hotel is amazing but it need people to work hard on it and improve not just wait to have guests because they are close to bromo

room floor is greasy, toilet facility not working properly...making it unfit for even basic traveller who only stay there for short sleep before heading to Bromo. Luckily view is nice, so you spend more time outside room rather than inside.

Hotel had given my room to someone else”
Despite booking two months ahead, when I arrived at the hotel they claimed that no rooms were available. They re-assigned me to another hotel around 5 miles away. This almost jeopardized my trip because I had to find a motorcycle taxi to take me to the Mount Bromo viewpoint, in time for sunrise (I had planned on making the journey on foot). This cost me around $20 (the villagers try to rip you off; so be careful). Back at my new hotel, there was no free breakfast (even though this hotel promised one). I later heard that this happens a lot at this hotel, because they apparently don't reserve the rooms booked through Agoda. Save yourself some heartache and don't book this hotel (at least not online).

Dirty & stinky ”
The rooms are dirty and dusty, very bad smell from bathroom. The only positive thing is the position which allows you to go up to Bromo by walking, the receptionist will try to convince you to book a jeep tour sayng the volcano is far away, do not believe them. Get up at 3.00 and go... AVOID this hotel, try Cafe lava !

Tourist trap @ Bromo”
We knew about the very bad accommodation quality around Bromo, but this is really not worth the money! The room is big, okay, but very noisy (jeeps passing the entire night), dirty and humid. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast: after our trekking we get only 2 white toasts OR fried rice... And yes, all this for more than 50 USD per night!!

Try a homestay instead”
We stayed 2 nights at this Hotel and we would not recommend it. It looks very nice from the outside, but the room was not very clean. It's rather filthy and there was a strange smell. They had put cups and bags of tea and coffee on the table but there was no electric kettle. We would not have used it as the cups were not clean either. The sink in the bathroom had no drainpipe, so the water ran all the way across the bathroom to the other side. And the shower head was basically right above the toilet seat. In addtion, it is right on the main road and there is a lot of noise. It sounds as if the cars and busses are running right throught your room. If you are a light sleeper, you probably won't sleep at all. The only positive thing was the bed. It smelled fresh and the mattress was good. We were told that there are no good hotels in this area, so maybe a homestay would be a better choice. This hotel is not worth the money.

Total disaster in Bromo”
This is the worst accommodation you can ever imagine. No water supply!!! Staff did not attend to the problem. The room is so dirty dusty and moldy. We found out that water supply was the existing problem since 2016 based on guest review. How come this place is still listed in your site. Please take this hotel off from your list Agoda.

Very dissapointed”
We were disappointed as soon as we arrived because the room we booked was not available. We were told someone else booked it 5 days before us. The beds had been made but we don't think the sheets or blankets had been washed so we slept in our clothes. It was supposed to include free breakfast but when we arrived they told us everything was sold out and we could have either toast or fried rice, which was cold. We left without having breakfast the second morning. Terrible facilities, cold and dirty.

Filthy disfunctional rip off ”
The place was totally filthy, full of dust and dirt. Even food left overs under the bedcover. There was NO water in the room, after mobilizing the entire staff they got the idea to climb the roof and open the pipies so the water tank was geting filled, that was 8pm! Got water later, but barely warm water, showering impossible for 3 days, as there was barely any water coming out of the shower, beside the fact that there are open electric plugs right next to the shower head!Had to change them all bed sheets and covers as they were all filthy. Total rip off, for € 77 per night in that village you could expect at least some basics. The staff is a bunch of teenagers which are just not up to the job.

the cold air was not the only surprise”
the rooms, the bedsheets and bathroom felt dusty . one bathroom sink had water shooting at us from the side and the other sink didnt have a connecting pipe rendering it useless. the tv didnt work and tne electric sockets seem about to fall off the walls. we were even afraid to charge our phones in case we set the place on fire, taking into account the thin walls that seem to made from some kinda wood. at least the staff served us a hot breakfast the next morning.

No windows, only some holes in the wall and on the main road so pretty cold at night and very noisy as the traffic stops only for about 2 hours at night. Breakfast is fried rice or nothing. There is hot water but doesn t make it up for the cold in the bathroom...
