good location, 2 minutes to Riverside”
the hotel was well-located near the Riverside and beside Harbour View hotel. Local food could be found around the hotel. 6-8 mins walk from carpenter Street where the popular Lau Ya Keng foodcourt is. The room was not big but it had ample space for us to put our bags on the floor. The bed although for two people, was only slightly bigger than a super single. two slim people could sleep on it but there wasn't much space to turn or stretch even. new towels were given daily but the towels were very old and some had holes and brown stains. They gave 2 bottles of water daily. The toilet was small but had just enough room for a shower. A soap dispenser was provided, the soap dispensed was diluted, probably to save costs. The drainage was choked and the toilet flooded. My feedback about this to the receptionist was addressed within 2-3 hours. The female receptionist in the daytime is pleasant. They should provide floor towels outside toilet as it can be rather slippery.

CLOSE TO THE WATERFRONT”
Very close to the waterfront, 7E and many eateries. Beside the hotel is the best cheese naan restaurant in Kuching according to the locals. I have always choose Place2stay chain in Kuching due to its affordability and they have TV and hot water as well as big bed for individual visitor like me. However, I notice that the cleanliness of the bed have gotten worse. I think they did not wash their bedding for quite some time. I know friends who work in the hotel industry said that hotel usually do not wash their bedding after every use, but this chain particularly, the bedding feels unwashed for such a long time. My skin is quite sensitive due to eczema and got some reaction from the night i stayed. Overall i still recommend people to stay here but the hotel should improve on this matter.

Can't demand much for the price compared to the strategic location this hotel is situated. However, i believe the bed sheet and towel can be more clean next time. the bedsheet and towel were very shabby, old, torn and yellowish. and there is no bath mat in my bedroom. the spring bed is quite old and you can feel the spring everytime u lay on it. the place however situated in a very strategic place with lots of restaurant nearby.

Pro-good for budget travellers Cons- too noisy due to the pub across the street - in the middle of the night awoke to find the room filled with cooking & food smells-an Indian restaurant was located downstairs - no cupboard, electric kettle.
