Great stay in National Park”
Pipers Lodge was a perfect place to stay while doing the Tongariro Crossing. The staff was very helpful and arranged the 40 NZD per person shuttle to/from the crossing start and end points. The facilities included common bathrooms, a very functional kitchen/dining area, a restaurant, and hot tubs. Everything was great! I would stay here again. 10/10

Cosy mountain hut”
Pipers Lodge is a wonderful place! It has a super friendly feel from the first welcome down to the roaring fire. We had a private room, which was clean and tidy and a private bathroom. Great facilities to dry wet clothes and a never ending supply of tea and coffee! We will be back!

Friendly, well-equipped, and SO helpful”
I was a solo traveler with plans for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing the next day. The reception staff was so friendly and helpful, booking my shuttle for the trip to the start of the Crossing, arranging for breakfast, and getting me oriented to the facility. My room was very clean and a great value for the money. There are great facilities for skiers, but of course I was there during the spring season and didn’t have use for them, but I would definitely recommend them for a stay in the area.

The room was spacious and warm. It also has an open lounge area with a cozy fireplace, as well as recreational games. The common kitchen was clean and fully equipped with things we need. Free parking too.

Great Lodge in Tongariro”
Had a fantastic stay here recently. The owners, Bruce and Dianne, are great host and very accommodating. There is also a snooker and table tennis table (and other games) - and also spa! It is well located and only about 10 mins to Whakapapa. Great place for group of hikers as the common area is really big.(with comfortable couches), warm and inviting with complimentary coffee. A central kitchen is available for those wanting to prepare their own meals. Good place to converge for groups. Dinner is also reasonable priced in their restaurant.

The most friendly staff I’ve ever met in my New Zealand trip so far. BTW, the room is cozy and tidy, though the faucet of hot water in the room doesn’t work at all, and which makes winter getting more cold:’(

I had stayed one night when I did the Tongariro Crossing. Loved the place, its budget but still comfy and clean. I stayed in a private double room. I think I'll go back there next ski season.

ホテルとは無関係だが、ナショナルパーク自体が天気が悪く寒かった。 共用部分に行く廊下が外にあって寒く、一部屋根のない箇所があるのも雨が降っていたからやや辛かった。部屋には暖房設備がちゃんとあり、ロビーは暖かく雰囲気も良かった。2人部屋に一人で泊まったから良かったが、あれはシングルルームとしか思えない広さであった
