Pinnacle Hotel Review”

I really enjoyed my stay at The Pinnacle hotel. The staff were simply outstanding, so friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is very central to every thing with just a 15 minute taxi ride to the airport. The presentation of the hotel is so clean and neat I even asked how new the hotel was, the answer was 5 years old, there was only a couple of things with the rooms and around the hotel that might need to be improved on like the housekeeping and general maintenance around the hotel but all in all it was an awesome stay at the hotel. The food was some of the best I've ever had, but I just thought that they didn't quite cater to children with the menu as I didn't see much in the way of a children's selection. Prices at the hotel are very reasonable and well worth this review Still I would recommend the Pinnacle Hotel and Suites to anybody who is travelling to Davao in the Philippines.

great service in davao”

pinnacle hotel was situated in a very convenient location in davao. taxis were abundant and the staff were just great! our favorite hotel in davao was the marco polo but it was not available and so, we opted to try pinnacle. the bed, the ambiance, the room amenities and the view were definitely not as good as marco polo but the price difference made up for the lack of these. the service though, was a lot better than marco polo! definitely value for money in this hotel!my husband and i have discovered a new place in davao and will definitely be switching to this hotel in our future stays.

Very nice and welcoming atmosphere to this hotel. I was a little put out that they wanted to charge our 12 month old baby half price for breakfast when all she would eat is a few spoons of rice and a cup of milk, especially when we had already paid for 6 adults and 3 children to eat. There was no mini bar or snacks in the room but there was 2 complimentary bottled water for the guests in our rooms which was a nice gesture. I would definately stay again at the Pinnacle Hotel and Suites if I'm in Davao.

Our home in Davao”

Pinnacle hotel remains to be our favorite hotel in Davao City. The rooms and beds are spacious. It's just sad that the toilets seem to be unattended, as you can clearly see deterioration and corrosion happening. Internet is also very slow, so they may have to address that. Otherwise, staff are all friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is great! And if you have to meet with clients, the lobby is spacious enough to accommodate it. By far the best we have stayed in at Davao City.

Among all the reviews for the supposed 4-5 star hotels in Davao, Pinnacle had the most mentions of cleanliness. They did not disappoint. We stayed in a Family room good for 4 pax and it was BIG. Bathroom was so-so but clean. No bidet, but water pressure was good. They provide slippers and toiletries, but the towels were OLD. Breakfast buffet was free, but if your brekky is not included, fret not. We ordered ala carte Continental Breakfast and was surprised by the quantity. It can feed 2 hungry people with 3 hash browns, fruit platter, bread basket, 4 slices of bacon, omelette-scrambled egg, coffee or tea, and fresh fruit juice for Php350. They have this weird policy though: We bought 2 big boxes of Kuilan's siopao (50 pcs) and the guard became hesitant to le us in because of guests are allowed knly a certain number of outside food in the room. Do I look like I was going to eat 50 pcs in 1 sitting??? It's to bring back home, duh! Oh, the elevator was a plus but it was hot inside, no a/c

my stay in pinnacle hotel was very comfortable. the room is big and the clean. the staff were very accomodating and friendly too. i love how its centrally located in the heart of davao city. i am definitely going back to this hotel.

Comfort and Accessibility!”

It's my first time in Davao and i was looking for a place to stay which is near the city and a lot of attractions. Luckily my friend told me about Pinnacle Hotel. My whole stay in the Hotel was good and comfortable. I would definitely go back and recommend this place to my friends. Thank you!

Excellent place and location ”

-great place and location(near Gmall and other good restaurants) -the staff are very nice, friendly, courteous and very accommodating to the point of letting my parents check-in both the rooms that I've booked even when I wasn't their yet, we were still in the flight from manila to davao that time. - the smell was nice and the hotel looked very pleasant upon entering. - my simple request of both rooms be together, non-smoking(which is obviously not a problem in davao) and on the higher floor were very much provided. - both rooms were decent as per the agoda pictures, A/C and bathrooms was working 100% and the view was nice since we were in the 10th floor. - the pool was small but it was fair. - parking area was available at the side and back portion of the hotel. - the most excellent and thing that me and my family was most excited and really appreciated the hotel was the free breakfast. Oh my God!!! The food was great and with lots of options to choose from.

Great place to Stay”

Booked the executive suite but had to add extra bed, as I was expecting 2 bedrooms but it only had 1. Facilities were great because it is relatively a new hotel. Staff were attentive and warm. They attended to my needs promptly and check in was a breeze. Beds were soft and comfy. Toiletries were sufficient. Breakfast buffet was average and had limited spread but relatively cheap (250/head). Jacuzzi was the best part of the stay and the staff was nice enough to turn it on for us.The only thing I didn't like about this place is the views from the room. Everywhere I looked it was roofs and streets. Other than this, Im very happy with my stay at the pinnacle.

Family Fun in the Pinnacle”

Wonderful, we are welcomed by friendly and helpful staff to a spacious lobby and ushered to our hotel room. It was comfortable and spacious and we had a comfortable sleep ready to hit the beaches in Samal Island the next day. After a long and tiring yet full of fun day in Samal Island we are welcomed to a cleaned and neat room for a wonderful night rest in the hotel to be ready for our shopping spree the next day. On check out, staff assisted in every way to make it fast as well as help us took pictures of the hotel to bring our memories with us of a wonderful vacation in the Pinnacle, Davao.

best value for the money”

The room is a good size with a good view. The restaurant is awesome with a reasonable price. The location of the hotel is convenient close to the city and to the mall. I stayed at Marco Polo and Waterfront Insular Hotel. I like the Pinnacle Hotel the most. The hotel is nice and the staff, too.

It was my 2nd time to stay in Pinnacle Hotel Davao & will surely book again on my next trip. The spacious room, great staff and excellent service is truly worth the money. It added to my wonderful Davao experience!

Good Value for Money and Great Location”

Our 4 days stay in Pinnacle is good. The location of the hotel is right in the heart of downtown Davao. We mainly used taxi cabs as our main transportation and did not have a hard time getting one. Their breakfast is usual but good 👍🏻 their rooms is spacious for 2 but kind of rusty already. Their bathroom is not up to date as they don't have bidet (this defines a newly renovated bathroom for me). There were small roaches coming out of the bathroom drainage. But overall, if you are looking for a not so expensive hotel which is in a good location choose Pinnacle.

The best in Davao”

I love staying at the Pinnacle because of its location. It's right behind G-Mall where most of my business is done. The staff are always very good, warm, and beautiful people. The room size is perfect. I had been staying here since they opened....and recently I noticed that it is not maintained properly. Such a shame for a beautiful hotel. The toilet tiles are dirty and cracked. The towels are old, thin, and worn out...these can be replaced easily. The toiletries are so incomplete and kinda cheap for a pricey hotel. They used to be much much better than this. A little improvement and upgrade on the toilets would be nice. The beds are always nice and comfy....love sleeping here. Breakfast is also very good. The lobby is sufficient to accommodate guests.

Great location”

We stayed at Pinnacle for 4days and 3nights. The rooms were comfy. Breakfast buffet was good enough for the price. Only downside were the bathrooms, they were kinda dark. Would be better if they provide more lighting and bidet. Overall it was a good stay. Would consider staying here again if we go back to Davao.

Actually, there was no reviews for this hotel. So I just chose this hotel with the pictures provided by the hotel. But I want to say it was the good choice for my trip. Four of us stayed in a family room. There were two big sized beds and one bathroom. The room was clean, new and comfy. And Wifi was available at the lobby area and they kept our luggage even after we checked out. I would definately stay again there when I have chance to stay in Davao!

2nd time and counting...”

it's my second time in Pinnacle Hotel. When I arrived in the hotel, the staff did not bother helping me with my luggages, maybe because they thought I was not checking in. and I was part of the participants in the training upstairs (my uniform had the same color with them). Although that should not be excuse. The staff should be courteous to everyone in and out of the hotel. Anyway, the room given to us was very spacious. Room was clean and comfortable. CONS: As mentioned by other reviews, WIFI CONNECTION NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. Very Very slow internet connection. And the Jacuzzi needs more heat. Pool needs improvement too. Overall, it was a good place to stay. We will surely comeback. Hopefully this time, the staff is more friendly and considerate.

Definitely will be back to Pinnacle if ever we are going back to Davao! Clean, Big Room and Good Location...my only concern is the guy who check us In didnt smile at all and did not greet us...but over all 2 Thumbs Up...

GOOD HOTEL (WITH A FEW DRAWBACKS)”

Overall, this is a good choice for a stay in Davao. However, there are a few things that the hotel could easily (and inexpensively) change that would provide for a much improved experience. (1) First, even though this is a relatively new hotel, the designers apparently didn't realize we're living in the digital age. Convenient outlets are lacking...so much so, that you have to crawl under the wardrobe area and unplug the mini-fridge in order to use the outlet for the in room coffee maker! (2) They installed the latest high-tech door locks, but NO in-room safe, (3) There a pool, Jacuzzi, and small work-out center on the 5th floor. The pool is very small-- which is not a big deal-- but since it Never gets any sun, it's ice cold (unusable for me). The Jacuzzi, on the contrary, is very large, but heated to only a very tepid, barely-warm temperature. They need to put some sort of solar collector on the pool. (4) Toilet paper is treated as though it's as valuable as the Dead Sea Scrolls. The smallest possible rolls are provided (just one) and there is no back up. Even when the holder is empty, it is often not replaced. Getting this simple item requires repeated calls to housekeeping or the front desk. Fix the above 4 items, and this would easily rank as a true 4-star hotel. In short, a pleasant stay -- but there are a few things that would greatly improve the experience.
