Pillows Hotel - Review”

Pillows Hotel is very transportation convenient since it is located near the Fuente Circle where most jeepneys are picking up passengers for most destinations in Cebu. The hotel is very clean and they have wide balcony and rooms. Airconditioning is very good. If you're a fan of room lighting and interior design, pillows hotel will suit perfectly for you. The restroom, the bedroom, the facilities, elevator are clean enough and they have very kind and helpful staffs. You can ask the staffs about destinations, locations, and tourist spots in Cebu. However please prepare an extra cash of 1000 php for a security incidental deposit, but this amount will be of course returned to you not unless you will be breaking some of their things. Breakfast is also served inclusive from your stay in the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel if you are going to make tours in the city besides the price is reasonable for your stay.

I'm from the US, me and my filipina GF chose pillows for our vacation trip to Cebu City because of the reviews. Everything good we read was true. Its located near lots of attractions that avg a 100P ride one way. White cabs are always dropping by to pick you up. In the one week stay we visited Taoist temple, Fort San Pedro, Magellans Cross, lots of shopping at SM mall, and Robinson's is just a short walk away! Customer service went above and beyond what I ever expected. Everyone working had great attitudes, front desk was very helpful. Even got my room upgraded for free! Free breakfast was made to order from their selection and delicious every morning! Because of the location and things to do and the price, I will without a doubt be going to Cebu and staying here again in the future.

Amazing budget hotel in Cebu center”

Better than all the budget hotels I have tried before in Cebu. Newish hotel 100 meters from Fuentes Cirkle and Robinson's Mall. Happy,helpful, smiling young staff. nothing is too much trouble. Great little cafeteria. Set menu breakfast 9-10 choices , HUGE portions , cooked to order. BEST brewed coffee in Cebu. Very clean rooms , not noisy aircon. Free bottled water. Well done Pillows Hotel, keep up the good work and standards. We will be back when in Cebu. ALSO , offers very early breakfast for those catching an early flight from Mactan airport . Serving from 01.30-05.30 BRILLIANT!!!

Exceeded My Expectations ”

Excellent value, highly recommended. I was headed for US Consulate(ground floor Water Front Casino, 9am-11am ONLY!!) and Pillows Hotel was in right location, at the right price for my needs. At check-in, 1,000p deposit is required. I'm heavy smoker, but trained (like my dog) to do my dirty business outside, so I got balcony room. A sign in room says "NO smoking or be charged 1,000P to sanitize room". Very large, clean, king bed, ref,hot water maker (no coffee maker), shower is big walk-in with good hot water pressure. For a taxi, it's only 150P, including tip, to go casino, or malls etc, usually 15-30 min ride. Going to airport aprox 200P and you better allow 60 minutes. Pillows' Hotel/Dining and even Security staff obviously well trained. They were helpful, they smile, and always gave impression my needs mattered to them. One drawback is many taxi's are not sure of hotel location since it is small and new. Good idea to carry a map with hotel location/address. Hotel printed one out for me. Only other drawback is limited menu, though it's good price value. Breakfast is ok, like what you'd make at home, served all day (6am-10pm). Had it 3 times. Otherwise, a few sausage types (good flavor) or couple sandwich options. But many superb buffets, and restaurants are nearby. I caught casino buffet on half price night. Tried maybe a dozen of hundred things offered and each was "perfectly" prepared, and delicious. My appetite was bit off after being beaten up on the slots. Been to 60+ casinos in many countries and only machines paying at Waterfront Casino were BDP and Commerce Bank. I highly recommend Pillows as the place to stay as your base of operations, and you can use the money you save toward your shopping and dining. You can spend a lot more for a room in big name hotel, but Pillows location, cleanliness, and service has got to make it one of the best values in that area.

WHAT MADE OUR CEBU STAY EVEN BETTER”

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE PILLOWS HOTEL. Its location is perfect for travelers and tourists because PUVs pass by near the area. It is near pharmacies, convenience stores, coffee shops, spa and there's a nearby hospital as well. At the time we were there, my cough was really bad. I was already thinking of going to the hospital nearby, but I decided to just sleep it off. We had a comfortable rest throughout the duration of our stay. Cebu was hit by an earthquake while we were there, but we never felt it because we were sound asleep. The breakfast is also good. I kept telling my boyfriend it will always be the hotel of our choice when we return to Cebu. I highly recommend this.

The best budget hotel in Asia ”

Having booker may rooms around Asia that don’t meet their descriptions or photos I was very happy with pillows, if you booking online it’s better to pay for breakfast as is only £1.50 more for 2 people it’s £3 per person in the hotel, the staff here are very helpful if you have a problem the bed is the best hotel I’ve ever had and you could sleep 4 people in it easily, the shower heats up very quickly and has a good water pressure, the room didn’t include a TV remove as it had a cable box with a really good signal and many western channels, although at 1st we didn’t know how to turn the TV on but room service showed us, all in all a great hotel for 20$ per night close to mango square but far away from the noise and bars, makes s change for the many tired, dated and dirty hotels in Cebu

Budget friendly, great service and location”

We had a very enjoyable stay at Pillows hotel (2 nights). 1. The staff are very approachable, courteous and helpful. 2. Their dining area is pretty small but the food and service is great! I really enjoyed the bacon and brewed coffee, while my mother enjoyed her corned beef and orange juice. They also have black rice!!!♥ 3. The place is near Larsian, Robinson's, and Shamrock store for your pasalubongs. 4. If you don't have arranged tours yet, you can approach their staff for a reasonable price. One thing I noticed is there are little cockroaches in sink area at night, but I think the management can handle and fix this quickly. I will definitely recommend Pillows to my friends and I'll book here again in case I plan to visit Cebu.:)

EXCELLENT SERVICE”

I would like to commend all the staff at Pillows hotel, they are very accomodating and hospitable to us. We arrived for a late checkin for we had a night flight to Cebu. Once we reached the hotel, the receptionist greeted us and promptly accomodated us and even upgraded our room! Just what we needed after a very long day flying. The room was very clean so we were able to rest well. The cafe also looked good but unfortunately we did not manage to eat due to our early flight the next day. but will definitely book again! Kudos to the management and staff of Pillows Hotel, highly recommended.

Awesome Stay for Sinulog 2019”

We booked this hotel for Sinulog this year and i tell you, Pillows made our Cebu Sinulog experience more than what we were expecting! We had a great time and we had a place to get back to that was very comfortable and we felt very safe. Favorite points: 1/ Breakfast meals are delicious and it had big servings! 2/ Our room was very spacious and clean! 3/ The Hotel had massage chairs at the lobby that made the end of our days feel relaxed! 4/ Staff were very helpful and courteous. 5/ Best part was the Sinulog kit on the day of the Grand parade, it had tissues, alcogel, sweet treats, water and head wear that was really cute! Overall, my husband and I would definitely recommend this hotel! :) More power and job well done PILLOWS!

Exceptional”

This is a great place to stay. The staff are super friendly and accomodating. There were several days where we were a bit lazy and didnt leave our room until after 1pm. When we returned our room was freshly cleaned and neat. Breakfast is served from 6am through 10pm(not a typo all day breakfast.) Limited menu but the food is very good quality. They do have additional items available that are not included on the breakfast menu. Also very good..😀The hotel is fairly easy to find and is near two malls and numerous food choices. There is free parking available in the parking garage that is monitored by a security guard. There are also a few spots available outside the hotel on the street...also monitored by the security guard. The shower is hot and strong and plenty of towels provided. We will definatly use Pillows again when we come back to Cebu.

I liked the Pillows hotel because the staff is so very friendly, kind, and helpful to someone like me who is not familiar with the Phils; therefore I shall place the Pillows on my list of favorite hotels in Cebu City... I loved that the breakfast was included with the room... Thanks Pillows !!!

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. It's location is superb that it is easily accessible to all the common points of interests in Cebu. It's also a relatively new hotel so you can expect that the rooms are well-maintained and are clean. The staff were also very helpful and even upgraded our room for free when our original booked room was not yet available upon my initial check-in. I would definitely stay here again whenever I visit Cebu City again.

The pillows are great. Legit. The beddings are very nice. The room where we stayed is spacious. Outlets for charging are available near the beds so it is very hassle-free. The staff are really accommodating even the security guards. The hotel is near Fuente Osmeña Circle so it is very accessible. Although, I would comment on the service water wherein I was asked to pay for take-out cups just to have water in the room since they want the guests to drink water in the café in the ground floor. I saw a small cockroach inside the washroom as well. I hope they do something about the pests. Over-all, I still recommend this botique hotel to those who want to visit Cebu since the rates are basically, reasonable.

Exceptional”

Pillows is located on a quiet street just around the corner from Osmena Circle. Large rooms with super big bed and the most comfortable bed I have ever had in a hotel, along with 4 fluffy pillows. Large bathroom that was very nice. I really loved this place, quiet and no trouble sleeping. Malls, food and fun all within walking distance. My only complaints are I had to pay an early check in fee of P500 which is the first time I have been charged for that and the hot water is not super hot but it's not cold either. There isn't an individual heater in the shower so you get what you get. I loved this place enough that we will rebook here for our return trip to Cebu.

This was our second stay at Pillows in about 6 weeks. The rooms are great. They are large with a giant bed that could hold about 3-4 people and very comfy along with 4 nice pillows, hence the name. Lighting is excellent with outlets and light switchs right by the bed. The CR (restroom) is large with a great shower area and the hot water was very hot this time. A nice touch is 2 toothbrush kits and also 2 bottles of mineral water. The location is about a block off Fuente Osmena Circle and very quiet. Pretty much everything is within walking distance. There are the franchise fast food outlets and also many good restaurants nearby, along with the small Robinson's Mall which has several food outlets inside. Many Resto Bars in the area along with a casino on the Circle. . Pillows will always be our choice whenever we travel to Cebu.

Recommended”

This was first travel to Cebu. For many, a good hotel makes a good vacation as well. And staying at Pillows Hotel made our vacation very worthwhile. Arriving at the hotel, we were greeted by the Receptionist (I was told her name is Nena) with a warm smile. It only took us almost 5 minutes to check in. I booked for a Standard room and to my surprise, we were told that we are upgraded to a Superior Room for FREE! The room is nice and big, clean as well. And the PILLOWS, sooooo fluffy good. Like seriously. Overall, for the price i paid, i'd say it was all worth it. Plus the free breakfast. and free local local calls with their in-room telephone. Plus the location is a thumbs up. Will definitely stay again in this hotel. Highly recommended.

Surprising Good”

Pillows Hotel look like your regular Cebu City midtown accomodation from the outside - a compact, retrofitted, small hostel squeezed in old buildings. The receiving area in the ground floor is very small and feels tight. However, the rooms are big and are painted with vibrant colors. The beds are big too. The only let down is the absence of any windows in the room. The staff is very kind and sincere, using the vernacular in addressing me and a functional English to non-Filipinos. The breakfast is served in its cozy cafe in the groundfloor. It is a modest plate of the usual choices of Filipino and Continental food. Overall, i would recommend this place especially if you have a business around the area.

Clean and cozy hotel”

Had a great stay at Pillows where the toilet is clean and the pillows are great (i dont think the whole Cebu has exceptional beds). Their breakfast was also nice. Didnt like the first sausage on the menu, but the Hungarian sausage was definitely value for money. You will smell like bacon after, hence i would recommend you dont shower before going down for breakfast. I went to Nuat Thai massage around 5 mins walk from there and it was goooood. 330 for 90 mins 😝 I also walked to nearby Crown Residence to see their casino and sky experience. Didnt spend my money there at all though coz the place was old and not vibrant as i had expected. Happily went back to the hotel to enjoy my bed again.

We love Pillows hotel!! Good location, near shops and restaurants etc. The Staff are polite and professional. The breakfast is yummy. Room is clean and functional. Good selection of TV channels. No fridge but not a deal breaker. Staying there again in 2 days time when we return to Cebu. That says it all really!!!

Best Vaue-for-Money Hotel”

It is a very nice, cozy hotel in the very heart of Cebu City. Local public transport to different places in Cebu abound just a block or two away. It is also walking distance to a lot of eating places. Best of all, I cannot fail to mention the staff who are all friendly, courteous and helpful. Price is very reasonable too. Highly recommended!!!!
