The view from the room was really good, but unfortunately there is only one room with the view
The location is far from the town and there was no good restaurants nearby but if u wish to stay in a typical village in Vietnam it is the best place

Quite basic and didn’t feel very comfortable there”

The location by the river was nice, although it’s definitely not as scenic as shown on the pictures (also, only one room offers such a view).
Even though the staff was absolutely adorable, it really didn’t feel like a professional guesthouse. It’s basically one very big family living on site, going about their days as if no guests were staying there. We tried using the free bikes one day to go grab some food in town and ALL of them had flat tires (and no one was home to fix anything or offer an alternative). That got us completely stuck for a couple hours before we could get someone on the line to arrange a taxi for us. As for the room, it’s quite basic but clean.

Lovely stay”

The host was always friendly and helpful. Was always greeted with a smile. Her English was very good which makes communicating much easier. The hotel is 4km out of town but they supply free bicycles so is not a problem. Being right on the river was nice.
As these are homestay places they tend to have chickens and roosters that can be very noisy during the night.

Fantastic few days at Phong Nha river house”

Wow, where do I begin... Yen and her team are amazing and attended to everything we needed. Every morning we were greeted with a smile and a delicious breakfast. They organised pick up from sleeper bus, a cave tour, laundry, dinner, scooter hire and onwards transport to Hue... and free bikes whenever you want! Quiet and beautiful location. We were really lucky to have chosen this place. I thoroughly recommend this to any traveller, you will be so well looked after. There was absolutely nothing wrong with our stay. We wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely try the omelet and the crepes from the breakfast menu. We hope you enjoy your stay at Phong Nha river house as much as we did.

Best stay so far in Vietnam! Was welcomed late at night and they even prepared dinner for us then. Included us in local activities & helped us pick the best tours and save on it! Would recommend for anyone!
