Our little home in Gensan”
We stayed for 12 days in this hotel, which is like a home away from home. All staff are personable and very accomodating. The hotel is clean, quiet and nicely kept, which is an escape fron the loud chaotic streets of Gensan. Thus providing us a good undisturbed sleep. It is located within few mins walk from shopping malls: Gaisano, SM and KCC. Also 711 is just a few steps across the street. Tricycle is readily available for transport and the hotel provides free shuttle to and from the airport. No free breakfast but a tray of noodles, juice, oatmeal, milk and fruits are provided everyday which we enjoyed and shared with friends and family. It has a restaurant which serves buffet lunch and dinner, but we did not try because hubby does not prefer Filipino food. One thing we recommend is to tone down the music in front of restaurant. We dont hear the music when inside the hotel but as soon as we get outside of front door, the music is quite loud. Overall, it is a perfect place to stay.

GenSan, my first time”
It was a nice stay. From Phela Grande, anything you need in GenSan is an easy access. Though it’s an old hotel, it was adequately maintained. Clean, good breakfast, hot water, everything comfortable, coupled with an excellent service from the staff. Thank you.

A very comfortable stay at Phelan Hotel”
This hotel is close to shops, transport and other amenities, ie gyms. I love this place as the rooms are reasonably big with kitchenette complete with kitchen utensils. Not too high, a 3 level hotel and was very handy particularly at the time when several earthquakes and aftershock tremors were happening for the 8 days we were there. Staff are helpful and nothing was a problem. The hotel operates 24/7 and security is present at all times. Thank you Gladys for a Stirling service. Happy to back another time.

stayed here a couple of different times everything is good apart from the breakfast it's a bit boring after a while it's a same thing everyday and also the big problem i find and the room is the ants on wooden surfaces i find the wood lace ants a serious problem here because you can't have any food in the room or else they are on top of it and even the glass of water and water heater they got into it. Lik All the hotel has to do is spray the rooms and get rid of them but they don't seem to do that. Dont think i would stay there again

it was my second visit in general santos city and i'm glad to know that phela grande hotel has a newly opened branch of hotel ( phela grande residences)the hotel offers free shuttle service to/from the airport which is very comfortable for my transportation. when i arrived at the hotel, the feeling was great! the establishment was very modern,friendly staff, and most especially rooms that are like five-star. inside the room you couldn't ask for more, everything was already provided. there is a kitchenette, if you want to cook rice cooker, microwave, and heater is also given. when i go out i properly fixed my hair because hair blower is also provided in the room. and for my security, which is the most crucial part they do also have safety deposit box so whenever you have valuables like money/ipad you can leave it there safely. and lastly, good food is what satisfies my mood.lola sisay seafood house caters great filipino cuisine. my stay here is definitely unbeatable. i love it!higly recommended.

It's the little things...”
It'd be easy to miss Phela Grand Residences. Its sign needs improvement, it's a little drawn back from the street, it's small, and its facade is not fancy at all. Thank God it's featured on Agoda, however, because half the reason my stay in General Santos was pleasant was due to my stay here. Phela Grand is new and could use an upgrade in terms of facilities: there are only a handful of rooms, no spa, no gym, and too small to need a lift. What it really is, is a great place to rest your head on. It has spacious, quiet, and well-appointed rooms that are spotless and well-maintained, with helpful staff who willingly go the extra mile (shoutout to the driver, Kuya Zaldy!!!). Though there is no free breakfast, there is, however, a complimentary tray of goodies delivered every day. It's not big on the flashier extras, but what it does it does well. They should ditch the outside spa they're currently partnered with, though. Worst massage; it's like I paid someone to merely lather oil on me.

Accessible to shopping malls”
The location of Phela Grande Residences made it easy for my daughter and me to get to the shopping malls, which are all within walking distance from the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful - particularly with getting bus schedules for other parts of Mindanao. We just had the misfortune of being in the hotel at a time when there was a function at Lola Sisay's Seafood House because the music was too loud to ignore even inside our room. Good thing the party ended before midnight though. Otherwise, I am highly recommending this hotel.

Nice hotel with friendly staff”
the hotel is very new, as it opened only last october, 2012. as such, all the equipments, including the linens are new and are kept clean by very efficient staffs. it is ideally located along catolico st., and is very close to the four (4) major malls in the area, namely: sm city, gaisano, kcc gen. santos, and robinsons. despite the daily brownouts (not attributed to the hotel) the standby generator works very efficently. we will definitely stay in the hotel again, if given the chance.

I like staying here a lot. This time, my review is for my parents-in-law, for whom I rented a room the night before my wedding. They really liked it there. It's close to Fitmart department store and Heneral Santos Plaza park. It has large meeting rooms to accommodate large groups of people. The staff are always friendly.

joyed my stay at the plela grande residences staff was friendly and alway willing to go out of their way to make you feel at home. rooms were cleaned every day and fresh fruit delivered to your room just for staying there. rooms were very nice and modern. close to everything in the downtown. there was a problem with my bill that i didn't even know about and they contacted me when i got home and the staff went out out their way to fix it. this saved me money that i wouldn't even known about very honest people i would recommend this hotel to anyone
