Awesome place to R&R”

Stay here for 6 nights and loving it and thinking of planning another trip back here. I’m not into diving or snorkelling as I’m afraid of open water hence the place I stay need to be comfortable and cosy. At Pesona, it’s homely. I got airport transfer from Pesona Beach Resort itself for 1 000 000 IDR = SGD98. A driver picked me up from airport and sent to Teluk Nara where a speed boat brought to Gili Trawangan and stopped me just outside Pesona Beach Resort (instead of at the common jetty due to high tide). It’s super convenient. Room (Poolside King Room) Room is spacious and the bed is great although low. Generally clean (except the visible mouldy around the shower area). Heater in the shower is almost non existence unlike at the sink where I can feel the warm water. However, if you bathe in the afternoon, you won’t need the hot water. It’s bathing in the night that made it uncomfortable. Nonetheless, it’s a comfortable room with the pool view right outside the room. Breakfast There are four options. Each option comes with a bowl of different type of fruits (mango, dragon fruit, watermelon) top with coconut flakes. It’s awesome. Staff The highlight of this place is the awesome staff. They are all friendly and bubbly. They are helpful too in attending to your queries. Thumbs up! Special shot out to Akim. I truly enjoy chatting with him and hope to see him again when I return. Location This place is near to EVERYTHING. It’s a walking distant to restaurants, cafe, bars, warung, minimarts (plenty) and lay but not least the night market selling BBQ food which starts at 6.30 p.m. every night. However, I do hope the management ensure the cleaning of the cushions cover (once a week or fortnightly) at their bar/lobby/eating. It’s unhygienic and have unpleasant smell, hence I avoided areas with cushions.

i stayed for 1 night only. (and i was regret because not added view night more). i booked 2 rooms for 4 people. but they gave me 1 room for 4 people. i admit that the bed is large and the toilet is huge. but still not comfortable for 4 person in a room. so i complain to the reception and they said the system say so! so we cannot change to another room. and tomorrow before leaving, we met the owner and we told her what happened. she got shocked and rechecked her email and system. long short story she felt sorry and give us some compliment. and thats enough for us to appreciate it! the first time i planned to give lower rate for this hotel. but after the respon of the owner, i change my mind. because the hotel was very great actually. for all, the hotel is really next to the harbour. so you have no effort to reach this place. and you know what, the hotel is more beautiful than the picture i saw. hehehe. very great! u just have to out from your room, and you can see the crowd, the beautiful beach, the market, many things! i will be back to this hotel if come again to gili...^^ thanks Pesona Resort ;)

Exceptional”

This hotel has all the amenities you need: terrific dive Center, spa, close to the beach, refreshing pool, and dive Center. We barely left our resort area for the first few days as we completed our open water PADI at the Gili Central Dive Center. It was so great to have all the amenities al at one location. The poolside room has super comfy bed and air conditioning that keeps the room nice and cool. The lounge swing provides a relaxing area to chill out and read. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience.

Great room, good location, friendly and helpful staff”

I travelled with my friend and we stayed in the deluxe room which was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The room had a big range of movie, tv show and music channels which we really enjoyed for a couple relaxing nights in. Staff were very friendly and willing to help with any questions we had. It was located on the beach about a 5-10 minute walk from the main swimming/snorkelling beach with bike hire available next door. Noise from surrounding bars was not a major issue as I had read in other reviews. Could hear some music if I woke up during the night but was not enough to disrupt our sleep. I would definitely stay at Pesona again

Great value, great place, great staff”

wonderful! We booked looking for somewhere cheap, with a backpacker vibe and where we could meet other tourists and travellers. It certainly had that but much, much more. The room far exceeded our expectations - it had a great bed, was a good size and cleaned with new towels provided daily. I know that sounds like a minimum expectation but for the price we weren't expecting it. The service from the staff was some of best we experienced, they speak great English and the bar staff actually know how to make a good Bloody Mary which is a rare thing in Indonesia! As for the Lychee coktails - wow! The bar also extends beyond the actual complex into a Shesha bar which straddles the beech and was a great place for chilling out and in fact one of the best bars on the island. Furthermore, the Indian food was outstanding and the Dosa in particular one of the best I have eaten. The location was brilliant and next to some of the best night spots on the island but sufficiently far away so as not to be disturbed by any noise. Finally, a special mention needs to go out to the owners and Sameena, the joint owner, in particular. Upon arriving, we realised we had left a purchased painting in Lombok. We tried emailing and calling the hotel in Lombok but to no avail. Suffice to say within 2 days Sameena had managed to negotiate its safe, prompt and cheap arrival back into our hands - much to our relief! All in all, couldn't have asked for more and for the price, an absolute gem of a place. Thoroughly recommended.

4 Star in a 3 Star Price.”

Me and my Girlfriend really enjoyed staying in Pesona Resort. As we arrived at Pesona we were greeted by the friendly staffs with big smiles as well as the dive center. Our Check-in process was really smooth and efficient acommodated with a wonderfull welcome drink. The room was well prepared upon our arrival and since then we had a pleasant stay till the end of our journey.

Friendly, relaxed and central”

The Pesona is in a great central spot. It has a lovely Indian restaurant/area right on beach and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The room is functional, clean and is a good price. The atmosphere is very relaxed and chilled....perfect for Gili T.

Perfect Dive Resort with Perfect Location”

This resort is located in the crowd area of this island. With the nice ocean view and shisha bar, this resort also has a dive center called Gili Dive Central. Like me, I try to dive for the forst time of my life and it's very amazing experience. Discover scuba diving here is fantastic, with 1 hour training on pool with theory and pratical also 1,5 hour dive in at the sea. When you dive in, you feel live in fairy tales world like on the Princess Ariel on Disney Stories. Anyway, this resort has a big room with very cool air conditioner that make you feel more comfortable during the hot day outside the room. It has a hot water shower and very nice meals in their restaurant. But only one thing that maybe this resort can improve much better. Their restaurant waiter's time services is slow. But for any others things is perfect.

Pretty good place”

Pesona was pretty good. We stayed here for 4 nights, then moved elsewhere on Gili T and wished we were still at Pesona. The management was so friendly, the restaurant was pretty good quality and value. The beach side hookah bar was so much fun.

Delightful stay at Gili T”

We had a lovely stay at Pesona late October 2013. We were welcomed by the owner and given a welcome drink. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. No fridge but ice buckets easily available from the bar to keep your drinks cold. New units are being built between the bar and the accommodation but caused minimal disruption to guests and no noise that we noticed. Breakfast was included and quite nice as far as free breakfasts go! The pool was lovely and clem and the hammock on our balcony was the ideal place to relax. The central position of Pesona is a huge plus!

The best of everything”

I've been visiting Gili T for 5 years and this is the first time I've stayed at Persona, definitely not the last! Perfect location, amazing dive school and world class instructors, the best Indian/asian/western food (and cheap), a great spa, a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, fantastic decor and excellent staff! From the most basic to the executive suite all rooms are beautifully appointed, there is something for everyone, and yes...HOT WATER. If you are a couple I would recommend the bungalows. A family? No problems they have a perfect space to house you, and if you need a little luxury in your life the executive suites are perfect! If you're wondering why I know all of this it's because I didn't want to leave, I extended my stay 3 times and the poor staff had to reallocate rooms for me, on top of that I was completing my open water diving certification and the staff were extremely accomodating! They packed my things for me and when I returned from diving all of my things were placed in my new room just as I would have it! The best and most trustworthy staff I have come across in a long time, a true credit to the owners and manager who I also found to be very approachable and friendly. After 10 days these lovely people were more like family to me and it was hard to say goodbye. For pleasure, business or training this is the place to be. Excellent value for money!

Convenient Location”

Overall, the stay was just fine. Having been to Gili several times before, I was familiar with this hotel before booking. The air conditioning worked very well and a fan was included as well. My only complaint was that the management moved my friend from being next door to me to accomodate new guests and never really gave an adequate reason. These new guests were LOUD. I had to take it upon myself to ask them to be quiet late into the night. Gili is a party island and there are plenty of other places to be loud in the late night hours. The rooms are by no means soundproof because I heard them again at 6 am! Overall, if you're looking for a place with a central location, Pesona is a good choice and I would stay there again!

Lovely staff, clean and comfortable room”

The room was a perfect size and felt private despite its close proximity to other villas. The room has been recently renovated, but the aircon doesn't work as well as it should because of small gaps in doors & windows.Thought the Agoda price was fair for the standard of the room - it was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, with a spacious bathroom. Best part of our stay was the staff (particularly a friendly man) - they were helpful, friendly and very capable. From the moment we arrived we were well taken care of. A big thank you to Pesona Resort for a lovely weekend. :)

Great stay, great location”

We had a lovely time, no cars on the Island so no pollution. The pesona is located on the beach just a short walk from where you get off the boat from Lombok. Would definitely like to return and recommend it to my friends.

Great location lovely staff excellent Indian food”

Such a central location, perfect for those wanting to be in and around the hustle and bustle of the bars restaurants and nightlife. I was initially put into a budget run down bungalow room but this was right by the construction work that was going on to improve and expand the resort. The staff immediately moved me to a quieter larger room at the back which was wonderful and quiet. My favourite things were the staff were super attentive, friendly and helpful especially the two ladies in reception who were lovely every day. The food is genuinely authentic Indian food like you would get in india, I could have eaten there 3 times a day and never get bored, oh yeah I did just that!! I met the lovely owner Sumeena who took the time out to chat to guests which was above and beyond. It's a great location for solo travellers to meet others, I met some great people. Missing the island already and I would have no hesitation in booking Pesona again and recommending to others especially once the renovations have happened.

Great location, everything you need & value for $$”

Thank you to the friendly team at Pesona! Our room was fantastic especially for what we paid. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, the air con worked really well and the staff were incredibly nice. It's in a great location, Close to the restaurants and bars but set back off the main road so nice and quiet in the room. The Sheesha bar at the front is a great place to sit for a few cocktails and mingle with fellow travelers and also puts on a great Indian feed!

Great Staff, Nice hotel”

only a night stay in this hotel but, at first. the staff , all the staff are polite, friendly. i was checking in at 11 pm which is have to wait til 2 pm. so i go and coming back at 5 pm, my bags are in the room, they are so nice. the room is clean, smell good, huge room for 2. therw is hammock in front of the room, so felt in love in this hotel and will be back soon. thanks pesona

good rooms and the best indian food ive ever had! ”

great little place right in the middle of the main Gili T strip but really quiet. the rooms are basic, but clean and personally I would rather have a fridge and kettle rather than a tv( with no signal) and dvd player. great staff, loved the pool area,great for people watching and looking out to the ocean. the best thing about this place though is the food! the best indian food we've had since being in India, we ate here lunch and dinner every day We would go back to Gili T just to have a curry at this place again.

Nice Hotel for a day”

While I'm on a business trip at Lombok, I've managed to go to Gili Trawangan and spent a night at this place. I've booked via Agoda, after a few days I've directly called to pesona resort as i want to confirmed may reservation via agoda, but the staff said they didn't received any reservation with my name. After back and fourth finally my booking confirmed. It was a lesson for me, although you have a secure booking via Agoda, make sure you've check directly to the hotel, sometimes they didn't received any notification from Agoda. This hotel was easy to find, it's in the main road of Gili T, it's near the Happening place in the island like scallywags, koko-moko etc and quite near the night market. The staff was a bit arrogant (based on my feelings), maybe because I'm a local traveler. The rooms was clean, the AC work in a great condition, the minus thing was, no TV channel even the local ones, no Coffee or tea pot and no fresh water, the water it's a bit salty when you take a bath. But overall it was a nice trip with a nice hotel.
