Superb hotel in fabulous location”

our stay at peppers beacon hotel and queenstown were the highlights of our trip to new zealand, it was our first visit to new zealand and although we went during the rugby world cup to watch the rugby matches we were so glad we came to queenstown as well. as soon as we arrived we were immediately upgraded to an apartment with awesome views over the lake, it was breathtaking. the apartment was really luxurious we especially enjoyed the heated tiles in the bathroom.

We loved our stay at Peppers Beacon. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite which was comfortable and well serviced. Having a self contained kitchen was a bonus because it meant we could lazily start our day with our own cooked breakfast. The wrap around glass windows with amazing lake and mountain views were the stand out of our holiday. It is pretty hard to beat waking up to postcard picture perfection every day! The room also had a warm fire, washing machine and drier which were fantastic. The bathroom was small but had everything we needed. The are only two areas I would pick to change. Firstly, the hard, lumpy beds. Next time I would buy some sort of mattress protector to improve the comfort. Also, there is quite a bit of noise from the surrounding rooms (both above and side), but luckily for us this was only during the day. It might be a problem if you had noisy night owls in the adjoining rooms. Overall though we loved our stay and would definitely choose this hotel again on our return to Queenstown.

Awesome”

Everything about this hotel was awesome! We had a great stay at this hotel. Location was great, the view of the lake was breathtaking. Loved the fireplace, balcony and full kitchen. We even had our own washing machine in the room. Staff were very accommodating and helpful too. Would definitely recommend this and go back when I’m in Queenstown again! Great job peppers beacon team!

outstanding views, service & rooms”

the peppers beacon is the best accomodation in queenstown in our opinion. we stayed in a balcony suite on the 2nd floor on the front and everyday we awoke to amazing views. inside the suite was absolutely gorgeous, first class amenities, outstanding. we stayed here for 6 glorious nights, and the location is so close to everything in town. cant recommend it enough.

Finest place in Queenstown”

Pepper Beacon is one of the finest accommodation we have stayed. highly recommended for short/ long stay. Excellent view from hotel, very clean and helpful staff all this add to the value for money. No second thoughts for next time for accommodation in Queenstown.

Perfect location ...”

Can't fault Peppers for its location on the lakefront and its proximity to the town. Only a 5 min flat walk into the bars, shops & restaurants of Queenstown, along the beautiful Whakatipu lakefront. We stayed in a studio room, which was compact but had everything you needed. With a partial lake view, a separate bedroom and an awesome power shower, we loved it. Mind you, with the beauty of Queenstown and surrounds to explore you tend to spend very little time in your room!

Couldn't have hoped for better!”

We had a great stay at Peppers Beacon over labour weekend. The staff were friendly and helpful, the place was well presented and it felt like you were walking into a nice hotel, which is important. The room itself was perfect, very spacious & clean. The bedroom is separate from the rest of the hotel which is great & the living room is definitely big enough to relax in. You do get a slight view of the lake which is nice, but depending on the location of your room, you might not be able to see too much. The best thing about the place is stepping out the door and instantly being greeted by beautiful mountains, the cool air and the beach. There really is no better way to start a day!

Excellent location!”

we stayed in the hotel room. it has partial lake view, we had to share the balcony with guests next door, but we really didn't mind this at all. the view from the balcony was superb! we think the price was very reasonable compared to the other hotels and motels with lake view. the other bonus point from peppers beacon is it's location - it is within walking distance to city centre. we believe the downside from peppers beacon is its customer service; we found that some of the staff were not friendly and need better customer service manner.

Luxury on the lake”

Beautiful, stunning hotel, well worth the price. We took a one bedroom apartment and were pleasantly surprised; the rooms looked much better and bigger than in any photos we had seen. It was spacious and the view across the lake was breathtaking, just as promised. The rooms are all tastefully fitted out with quality decor and fittings and gave an overall feeling of luxury. A 3-4 min stroll from the hotel door has you in the centre of Queenstown. Great hotel, great value for money and will definitely stay again.

Perfect place to stay in Queenstown”

Great staff, and just amazing views!!! I have now stayed twice over the years at Peppers, and I now know I would never stay in any other place in Queenstown other than Peppers, it offers everything you ever need. Having your own kitchen, and private fire place is a massive bonus, and some nights you don't need to go out at all, if fact you don't want to.

Nice choice in Queenstown”

The location of the hotel is nice as its only 5-10 mins walk to the city center. Staffs are knowledgeable and provided us some great advises on activities in Queenstown. The car park is convenient but just a bit pricy. However, the noise from the next room can be easier heard as the wall between rooms are not really that thick.

Great location, great view, good value”

This was a really nice place to stay. The rooms were great, the view better, and location was perfectly situated next to downtown Queenstown. Peppers continues to live up to its good reputation with this hotel. Thanks!

3 days in Queenstown”

The locations is fantastic. There is free parking which is great. The lake is right in front of the hotel, and it's a beautiful view. There is a little gym and private hot tub (that you can make an appointment to visit privately). There is no complimentary Wi-Fi which was a little disappointing. And the maid service either happens VERY late in the day or not at all. We got back at 4 pm to rest before dinner then got a knock at the door for the maid. At that point, we didn't want someone running in and out of the room cleaning while we were resting, so we just asked for fresh towels and cups. But if that's important to you, then just know that the maid service isn't great (at least in our experience). Overall though, we had a great stay in Queenstown at the hotel. The staff was helpful and it's location is perfect for exploring the area. We'd stay again.

Absolutely amazing place ”

We had a wonderful stay in this place. We ordered highfloor, and got an amazing lakeview! The apartment is very modern with gas fireplace, widescreen and design. You don't need to bring anything exept of your clothes. Queenstown is also a very beautiful place, with a lot to do in every season for familys with older children. In summertime, it's lovely sitting on the huge terrace, drinking local wine and enjoy the view. We can highly recommend this hotel.

Great accommodation ”

Everything is great. Specially the service was good and solved the problems efficiently when we tell them the tour next our room made too much noise. We had a good time at peppers Beacon Hotel.

Good location”

The hotel is near the Queenstown city centre where you can book all the fun activities. The staff are friendly and helpful. Just walk across Lake Esplanade where the hotel is, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the lake.

Beautiful & clean hotel with great service!”

Really enjoyed my stay there, and the trip was made better with very friendly and helpful staff, Rob. Will definitely go back to Peppers Beacon and will recommend this hotel to families and friends!

Hotel???”

It is not a hotel, more like apartments. No dining facilities, only byo bbq. We had a room looking straight into the retaining wall and fire escape stairs. Awfull!!! Next day we asked to change the room, so we were given a room looking into someone else kitchen, the unit next door. With the view they had, breakfast is in a room with 4 walls, no windows or view, very poor design. The only good thing at Peppers Beacon is Henry, the receptionist had to put up with our complains. Good work Henry.

Very pleasant stay in a quiet environment”

We spent two nights at Peppers Beacon. The staff was very attentive and professional. We had great time and enjoyed the breakfast buffet.
