      Almost great”

Pros: great location and friendly staff. The swimming pool is nice for cooling off. Evening music if you like. Big room which I upgraded to had a great view. Cons: paid for upgraded larger room but no one told the manager so had to stay in small hot room an extra day. Also the small room had an airconditioner that in the day was barely able to keep the room cool. When moved to upgraded larger room over twice as big had same small airconditioner. It was so noisy and was totally unable to keep the room cool it was very hot and uncomfortable. When paying for AC I expected it too work, ended uo just using a fan which was not enough. Also beautiful viee balcony but had extremely noisy pump running all day so could not sit on the balcony and enjoy the view most if the time. I dont understand why they and other hotels dont upgrade air conditioning so customers are happy? Now AC uns all the time wasting electricity and not cooling rooms. I love the place but would not stay again without new

We stayed at peace and love for 4 nights. The staff was really friendly and they made us feel welcome. The room with sunsetview was nice and clean, but it’s not as luxurious as you’d think from the pictures. The food was really good (pizza!) . Overall for the price you pay it’s definitely worth it!

Good and........ some not so good”

Pros: Great location, friendly helpful staff and owner, scooter rental, free pool, great view, music nightly and free water and nice room if in delux rooms. Cons: the staff are nice but generally forget your request in 5 min have to be reminded once or more of our request for cleaning, towels, room upgrade atempted a service charge to deliver a pizza to our room 20 feet away. Air Con does not cool the rooms which are terribly hot much of the day. Wifi does not work in rooms and could easily be resolved by buying a few wifi signal boosters for little money. Hole in sliding sceen door and mosquitos. Sliding door to balcony did not lock or fit opening properly. We felt the meals were a bit small and over priced. Scooter rental was 600 p per day which is very high. All and all I really liked the place and if they resolved the Air Con issue I would return. However paying for air con and being hot is simply not acceptable. You cant put a small air conditioner in a nice big room

Got deceived by the pictures in the unit. What they show or posted is the picture room with an AC so i forgot to check the amenities list if AC is included or not. Quite pricy for a unit with no AC provided. Lukily we booked in a cold season so it is not totally hot in our room.

      Newly re-opened; not quite ready”

It was walking distance to the boardwalk (where you can find a lot of good and affordable eating places). The room was huge and well-appointed. It was quiet at night. The staff were very accommodating and apologetic for the shirt you the property. You can go downtown and contract tricycles to take you around. There was no WiFi or cable television. The staff told us that they just re-opened after having been orders closed for a couple of years by the local government. Food servings were small and not very impressive. We enjoyed our meals at restaurants at the boardwalk downtown. I’d consider coming back to this place, maybe in a year or so, when they’ve sorted out their act. It got lots of potential.

      Good”

Quite expensive for what you get. While it says 'resort', it has no grounds and no facilities other than pool. I would classify it more as a backpacker hostel. Definite backpacker vibe, with live music every night and results of drinking games posted on the walls. It has a lovely sitting area with beanbags and view across the sea. Rooms also very large. Would recommend to younger crowd, easy place to meet other people.

Should be named noisy and love resort - the air conditioner sounds like a truck in the room”

The A.C. was so loud in the room that we couldn't use it and sleep in a extremely hot room with only the fan. The staff was very nice but it was very noisy in the morning from kids shouting around, and in the night. The live music was very nice but in case you want to wake up early, no chance of sleeping before 10:30 pm since it was so loud.

Not clean, no good value for money, but friendly staff”

I thought when we booked that the property was close to the beach. In fact it’s on a mountain... there is a beach but that takes a long walk. Rooms are big but not clean. Dust everywhere, a lot of dirt in the corners of the Toilet seat broken, really hard bed, broken window, etcetera. The worst thing i see is that the railing of the balcony and the swimmingpool are very loose. If you lean to that it will break and you will fall down a few meters! To the staff: you ere very nice people and you try to do your best, but please fix this. People can get hurt.

      Stay”

Let me begin by saying the property is not well kept hotel room doors won’t close all the way. Curtains don’t stay up on the deck doors. Swimming pool is not chlorinated properly or “shocked” that’s why it’s green. Don’t order squid it’s was rubber my husband spit it right out. We asked for a cheese burger and was given what looked like a potato omelet. There was a terrible small of raw sewage adjacent to the pool and the employee grabbed a bucket dipped it in to the pool and cleaned out the sewage. The view was beautiful that’s it. Please read reviews for any future plans is my word of advise.

Fantastic view and great owner and fabulous lobby”

great view, comfortable facilities, helpful owner, nice staff

The best choice I made for the whole trip! Definitely unforgetful experience! It has a great view over the ocean. Clever design of the layout of the resort. Fine decoration. Great food. The Thai curry is highly recommanded. Friendly and helpful staff. The best owner you can ever meet: always eager to help, concerned about your needs, ready to help at any time! And the room is the best! Ask for Room 1 or 2 if you can. You will have a whole wall of glass facing the ocean and a big terrace. And you can rent motorcycles here or take a boat trip for island hopping. Food here is kinda expensive. There're a lot more choices in the village. Nipa Hut is a really good place to go. People in the village are super nice. However, San Vicente is really remote. It took us almost five hours to drive here from Princesa. (Yeah, we rented a car which proved to be a big mistake.) It's easier to just take a bus there, or rent a motorcycle. If you want to drive, make sure you rent a four-wheel drive. The last one hour drive is on dirt road. It's really bumpy. And here's the very important tip: if you are not taking a public transport, don't turn left on the first sign of Peace and Love Resort board. It will lead you to the most terrible road you have ever been to. It's a nightmare. Believe me. Because we took that road and we almost gave up on going on. Anyway, we loved San Vicente and Peace & Love Resort. There're very few tourists, undeveloped beach, friendly and honest people. If you want to get away from people and enjoy the pure nature, this is the best choice. There's NO SHOPPING!

      Great room, great staff”

      Location, staff, location, staff

It was to be a solo spiritual retreat. It turned out to be much more. Not normally in the path of Hurricanes, Hurricane Pablo chose my trip to pass right through the area. Also due to a mixup that was cleared to my satisfaction between the hotel owner and Agoda, I was not able to arrive at the resort till the next day, 30 minutes before Hurricane Pablo landfall. No sooner was I ensconced comfortable in my room, the winds picked up, dashing the rain between all spaces of the window, creating a flood in my room. The staff moved me temporarily into another room till the hurricane abated and the flood cleaned up. I was so happy to transfer back. Though the other room had the same configuration, it did not have the huge windows and beautiful view of my original room. But the adventure did not end. I got dysentery. Once again, staff to the rescue!!! Bringing me all the things I asked for (buko, water, ripe bananas) and periodically checking in me. 24 hours later, I felt welll enough to ask for a bike and driver to go visit Long Beach and the quaint little town of San Vicente. Peace and Love Resort is still under construction, mostly from what I could tell, their swimming pool. I gave the hotel and room conditions a four only because it is still under construction. I'm sure it would rate a five when it's done. It's located on the crest of a hill overlooking San Vicente and a little bay, with many islands out in the distance and mountains behind SanVicente. A really lovely place. Off the beaten track... Which I prefer but if you prefer a lot of night action, this might not be the place. Great thought for island hopping. And the staff really go out of their way to take care of your comfort and needs. I would go again,
