Friendly, helpful staff, but strange location.”

This is a difficult guesthouse to review because unless the location is essential for your needs, you will find Pe're Aristo is tucked away in a residential development, and not close to amenities nor the city. Even as budget accommodation it lacks the 'standard' inclusions reasonably expected for the size of the tariff. No tv in the room, very basic bed, no meals unless you are prepared to wait up to 40 minutes for a simple breakfast, no toiletries supplied, no hot water in the good sized CR. That said, we still found it a pleasant stay, mainly because of the friendly atmosphere, and the well-kept premises. Would we stay here again? Probably not unless we needed to be in this area, and there was no acceptable alternative (better) accommodation.

Went to Cebu at 7:30 in the morning, and went directly to work, went to the accomodation at 12 noon to check in and went to work again at 12:30. I went back to this accomodation about 8 in the evening to rest. Towel, soap and shampoo were presented by the staff. Unfortunately the room I rented has no toilet. The toilet is located outside. You have to go out first if you want to use the toilet and staffs there can see you go in and out. But that was my only problem. The house looks a little old but it was still good. The room was airconditioned, has two single beds, has electric socket each bed for charging purposes. The house is silent. I just slept and went back to Manila early in the morning.

Clean, quiet, out of the way”

Spent 3 nights there, top floor, windowless room with no AC and no other personality. It got good reviews on Trip advisor so I gave it a shot. The location is too far from Cebu city for my personal liking. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There are more convenient options unless you have business in the outskirts of Mandaue city.

Exceptional”

A quiet place to stay. You'll get a homey vibe because you'll be like staying at a family's house. It's very near our SSPX Chapel in Cebu, too. Will surely recommend this place to my fellow trads! Thanks for accommodating us! :)

Could be much better”

My room was fine - clean and basic, though there was no screen on the windows and no mosquito net (I didn't have problems with mosquitoes during my stay, but I imagine they could be a problem). Unlike the room, the bathroom was pretty bad. Towel rack broken, shower head holder broken. No hot water. Toilet seat broken. I chose the hotel because it is close to the airport, but as others have written, it really is in the middle of nowhere and a bit of a walk to anything. The gentleman working there was very friendly and tried to be helpful by calling me a cab, but it was raining that day and it turned out no cabs would come because they were all busy. I had to walk about 10+ minutes to the main road and try and flag one down. There isn't much to be done about the location but the building and facilities could be quite nice with just a small amount of work. I don't know how the cabs work in Cebu but perhaps calling more than a few minutes before needed would be a wise idea.

The room used to be very nice but because of the humidity and not functioning aircon it is now full of mold and smells bad. Cold water in the shower only, no way to wash your hair if you are a woman with long hair. Nice location, close to the airport, close to the main Cebu city.

Stay was fine. Small supermarket in the area and the guesthouse is tucked out of the way in a quiet street. Use of amenities is great although they charge for using water

Best of a BAD BUNCH”

What I meant best of a bad bunch is that same street you will find multiple guesthouses and this from the outside anyway seemed to best one. When we asked if there were any rooms, one the guys brought us up and showed us "our" room. After looking around we were happy enough with "our" room where as the guy said oh this isnt your room. What I had to ask is why did you show me this room then if this wont be "our" room? As he was gonna bring us to another floor, he shouted down the stairs to reception and then agreed that it will be our room? What a strange situation we were in. The room itself is basic and bright but the AC is shocking. It will cool the room down for the first 30/40 mins which will then stop cooling and the room will revert back to its old stuff self. We didnt bother complaining as the staff seems fairly incompetent in even making the most basic decisions so we checked ourselves out.

The location is terrible! Dangerous neighborhood in Cebu city. Our only luck was that we came for 8 hours- for more we would not stay. Bad value of money.

Cheap hotel but not so clean”

Our room was ok, it had an air con but since we booked fan room we were not allowed to use it. They had a fan on the room. The bathroom was shared and not clean at all. Staff was very helpfull and it is very close to the airport.
