great location and Mountain View!

Upstairs hot in summer, could do with a fan

The arrangements to self check-in worked well, the apartment was large, given there were only 2 of us staying. The laundry, washing frame and AC heating amenities came in useful given it was very wet weather and quite cold despite being December. WiFi was available with his connection.

Unfortunately we were quite disappointed overall. It seemed there was more focus on having extra facilities such as laundry/dryer, kitchen, & underfloor heating as opposed to being attentive to basic needs to ensure it was comfortable and clean - the bed was lumpy, and we could feel the slats just sitting down on it, the walls in the bedroom and up the stairs were visibly dirty in certain lighting, and there were droplets of red wine on the wooden bannister by the kitchen from previous guests. Things like tissues and bathroom toiletries would have been a nice addition to give it some kind of personal touch, especially for the price during the off-season in Tongariro. Great location and apartment with plenty of potential, if a little more care was given.

Great location. The apartment has everything you need.

The sofas could do with a clean. Was disappointed that we couldn’t cast Disney plus to our tv when the other apartment is casting theirs at the same time. Seems like issue if both apartment is trying to cast to the tv at the same time.

The property was nice and in a good location with walking distance to the shop.

We couldn’t connect to the wifi and the tv only worked with chromecast so couldn’t use that. also the gas fire wouldn’t light.

Absolute favourite place to stay in National park. Perfect spot for little day trips to Whakapapa village or up the mountain or staying local also only a stone throw away from the local cafe for a coffee & grocery/petrol station.

The view of the mountain in the morning was spectacular from the property. The heating system in the house was very good. The location of property just in the right spot, close to a shop, gas station and not far from other activities.

The rooms down stairs was cold, but was not a big issue.

Ideally an additional heat pump upstairs would have been ideal. Accept there was a fire but not that easy to use with young kids.

Modern, clean, warm and cosy and close to the snow. great location and perfect for a weekend away.

Could use a furniture upgrade, beds and couch were well worn, unsupportive.

Jo's friendliness & her 24/7 prompt assistance to everything! Cooking oil, table salt, pepper & milk. The Samsung dishwasher. The warmth from double-glazed windows. The unblocked view of upper floor!

New modern apartment. Extremely warm & lovely view of the mountain.

Uncomfortable beds & old furniture need replacing asap. The glass coffee table still works but the glass is shattered within it. There are new owners so I’m sure this is their plan for the future.

The property was booked last year but a day before our travel, the city went into locked down. Luckily the owner allow us to change the date last minute. We brought forward the dates and Jo was very helpful with the last minute bookings. We took the whole big house, one common foyer with two separate entrance for both units. A connecting door to access both units is on the top floor. It was very convenient to accommodate big families. Huge window with balcony allows us to enjoy the mountain view from every corner of the house. A short drive to the gas station, more or less 15 minutes to the foot of Mt Ruapehu and 45 minutes to Ohakune.

Location fantastic, amazing view of Ruapehu, cafes and grocery store nearby (check hours as its a very small community so limited opening hours) great base for exploring the area.
