Excellent location,terrible room condition”
Parai mountain resort is one of those hotels with an amazing location but fails to take full advantage because the room conditions are in poor condition.It is a sort of vintage styled hotel with a cool climate and located 10-15 minutes away from bukittingi's iconic "Jam Gadang".The rooms smells odd due to plumbing problem,the bathtub has several rust spots therefore rendering the bathtub useless. The staff's are helpful and friendly which make the stay more bearable. The breakfast menu is your typical Indonesian food such as fried rice,fried noodles and some vegetables. Toasts are also available. The best thing about the hotel is its location,where it is located on a hill with two mountains view, mount marapi and mount singgalang.The sunrise view is breathtaking, if I'm not mistaken,this hotel is the only hotel in the area which have the luxury of such view. In conclusion , Parai mountain resort is like a mixed bag of nuts,the view is excellent but the room conditions are a deal breaker.I will recommend and come back to this hotel only if the rooms are renovated and the plumbing problems are fixed.

A Hotel to Relax”
This was my first visit to Bukittinggi with Family and stayed in the hotel. the hotel offered fresh environment, with a stunning view of the mountain, specially the view of Bukittinggi between Mount Singgalang and Mt Marapi. However, they supposed to do a better work to clean the room and the area around the swimming pool. The food was fair. Since we cancelled our last day's stay, I really hope that we could have refund of it, eventhough just a part of it.

Old Hotel with good view”
Well, for enjoying the view Parai Hotel is ok, but the location to the central Bukittinggi is quite far. We spent 2 nights at Parai, and it's cold at night. our TV was not running properly, the technician tried to repair it although it was already late at night.. Good service, but this hotel really need renovation..

Nice location and views but kind of old hotel, need much improvement, cleanliness are very poor, bathrooms with old stained, rooms with old furniture, curtain was stuck, didn't hook properly. Breakfast was good with nice view and the staff were helpful.

Its just ok, maybe suitable for lone travellers or couples who want quiet moments for themselves. the hotel got to improve with the food, although i can understand for vreakfast only nasi goreng or mee goreng, there should be more choices when ordering for lunch and dinner.

Good Location but Old Building”
The Location was not far from bukit tinggi downtown maybe around 15-20 minutes , but you still need private car/transportation to get there. In the morning you can see almost all montain that surronding bukit Tinggi, that was Owesome place. But the building was old, and many insect sometime. they need to clean up first.

Nice view but bad rooms”
I stayed in this hotel for 1 night in the Deluxe room. The hotel has a very nice view and is located in the mountain. However, the rooms are very bad and have a weird smell. The hot water is not running properly and the cleaning service is very bad. And most of all, there is no aircon. They say the weather will be very cold at night but apparently it is not. We will never go back to this hotel again!

We arrived at the hotel about 10 pm. Upon arrival at the hotel we were told that the hotel is full. feeling a little tired of our anger. after make argument and waiting about an hour, we get our room.the room is very sad. the room smelled, the toilet did not work the pump, hot water supplied.

Many kms from town so hard to get to or from, only stay if you have transport. Rooms were tired and musty, peeling paint and pitted bath. We did met some delightful staff there who really made our stay.

Bad experience”
The view it's really beautiful, but the service they give it's really bad! The room is totally dirty! The toilet cannot be flush. The carpet doesn't clean. Yet the location is toooo far! There is no transport go to the center of bukit tinggi. I sincerely said, I wouldn't recommend to stay at here!
