Stayed four times, will return for a fifth”
When in Davao City and we want to go to the beach, we stay at Paradise Island Park and Beach Resort. We know there are other resorts on Samal Island, but after enjoying ourselves immensely the first time we visited in 2009 we haven't had any need to stay anywhere else. Premiere Cottages have better amenities than the Deluxe Cottages and are closer to the beach and other activity areas. When informed in advance, the Resort can reserve either a single detached bungalow or a duplex for guests. Response to reservation inquiries is prompt although the correspondence could be less formal and more warmly worded. Room tariff does not include breakfast, but provides free or discounted use of recreational facilities at the resort. Tours of Samal Island can be conveniently arranged before or during one's stay. Expect service at the restaurant to be slow during peak hours as food is prepared fresh and cooked to order. Waiters may look at tad harried at this time but in general the resort staff are unfailingly polite. Some overly large posters that obscure the view of the sea from the cottages could be taken down but there really are no major complaints. We have every reason to come back.

Fun filled Trip 👍”
At the pier (Davao City side), there is a friendly guard waiting to assist us and we were glad that the resort has stationed a porter who transport luggages from the entance to the beach where the boat is. The boat ride was quick, 10-15 min ride, and we didn't wait for the boat to be filled with guests. When we docked at the resort, we already noticed 3 security guards and 2 lifeguards stationed at the docks, we definitely felt safe. At the entrance, they have a both where you need to register, it's their way of monitoring how many people are inside the resort. The first thing that we noticed when we got there was the very festive look of their reataurant, colorful banderitas hanging. At the resort lobby, we were greeted by a friendly staff, who also took time to talk to my 3 yo daughter. They gave us drinks and cold towl to cool off. The room we occupied was amazing. It's like a bungalow with our own backyard and receiving area (outside the room) w/ electric fan. It's very spacious and the bathroom is incredibly clean. They provide clean towels, toilet paper, shampoo, and soap everyday. They also gave us a free pomelo on our 2nd day. (Part of the room amenities are paper and pencil, disposable shave, and off lotion). The beach is very clear though pebbly, and we love that their are fishes swimming with us. The resort offers a lot of activities to do like kayak, jetski, banana boat, paddlers, big chess game, billiards, darts, playground, mini zoon/aviary. When we were there, they also have a live band performing during lunch and dinner, Circus at 12:15pm, fire dance at night, and fire works display at 9:30pm. Food is satisfactory, I hope they will add some more options and cook a little faster. The resort also have a souvenir shop (reasonable price) and a fruit stand where you can buy pomelo (Php40/kilo). Over-all, we had a very wonderful stay. We are already planning our next trip to Paradise Island Park and Resort. Cudos to the management & staff!!!! :)

I have no complaints. Everything was better than I expected. Will return here again. Loved everythin”
Well I came from staying at water front hotel. Which was mostly good. Took a boat ride off there dock stright to paradise island park and resort. I paid 4.00 us one way for both me and a friend. When we pulled up to the dock I was surprised on how clean everything was. We went through a security check. They pointed us to the direction for admittance. There were staff there to carry your bags they made it very easy to check in a help you to your room. Everything was so clean. We ate and did some swimming. Watch a live band and fire show while having dinner. Oh I almost forgot when we first arrived at paradise island resort there was a circus like act going on that was very entertaining and funny, it was fun and great to watch. That night we planned out our next few days. It involvedoesn't island hopin on a private speed boat. Island touring both water falls and even looking at that Guinness World Book record bat cave that is on samal Island. Wow... a must see. Careful the smell

Really nice place for a couple of days stay”
Having previously stayed at the Pearl Farm Resort on Samal Island, the Paradise Island Park & Beach Resort was considerably cheaper, yet the Premier Rooms (Bungalow) were much nicer than staying in the Hilltop "Hotel" style rooms and the staff worked tirelessly to meet your needs and keep the place spotlessly clean. Couple of things to note: 1. There is no pool there, though the 2 beaches have crystal clear waters that are cordoned off from the main Sea and lovely to swim in 2. The place more or less closes at 10pm, so not one for the night owls.

Big Roomds And Great Service!!”
Overall, my whole family enjoyed our stay at Paradise Island Park And Beach Resort. The staffs were very friendly. They have a large resort but you will always feel secure because the number of employees (life guards, security personnel, waiters, room service personnel, cleaning personnel, receptionists, supervisors/managers, etc.) are more than enough to secure the resort and provide the service that will satisfy the guests. Except for the very expensive Island Hoppping Speed Boat rate, everything is perfect. I would suggest that the resort consolidate groups of guests who are interested to rent the speed boat so they can share the cost of renting the speed boat since it can accommodate a huge number of people to as many as 30 guests. I would surely stay at this hotel next time I go back to Davao.

Great place just for a few days only”
This place was very clean, facilities are very nice, staff are very helpful, accommodating, and welcoming. I was with two small boys and the only thing they were able to do for free was to play in the playground and swim on the beach. Only a small area towards the shallow part was swimmable for the boys otherwise if you go a little farther out, there are too many rocks shells and hurts their feet to walk on. All the rest of the other activities cost money. I stayed in Samal island for two weeks & only three of those days at Paradise Island and the rest of the days were in another resort. The amenities as well as food are expensive compared to the other resort I stayed, which is equally as nice and the boys actually enjoyed it much better and cost a fraction of the price I paid at Paradise. Family living locally came to visit and had to pay to come by to see me. Any food is not allowed either.

Relaxing Vacation yet not so budget friendly resrt”
I picked this resort based on its reviews and I must say that the resort is quite impressive. We stayed here for 2 nights. From the airport, you can ask a cab to drive you through Paradise island port. They already know where it is located and it is not hard to find. Here are the positive things I have observed (1) A welcoming refreshment and a cooler towel when you arrive at the resort. (2) It's near the city. (3) Resort is well maintained and very clean. A lot of staff are roaming around to clean the resort picking fallen leaves, trashes left by their guests etc. (4) Food is really awesome! try their Halo-Halo, really nice for lunch and for the hot weather. (5) Best place for kids. They would definitely love to stay here because of the boat paddlers for kiddos, mini zoo, playground and of course the beach. (6) Very friendly staff! They will treat you well by carrying your things, greet you with a smile and they are very courteous. (7) A big resort to roam around (8) Cool villas and complete things inside your room. They have umbrella for you to use when you go outside, slippers. And not to mention, a free suha that is so delicious. The best suha I have tasted ever! :) (9) Board games, Aquatic activites to do. (10) Acoustic band every lunch and dinner. (11) Fire dance every 7:30 PM Although they have a lot to offer, below are the things you might want to consider. (1) Food are extremely expensive and they charge you 7% on top of your food bill for service charge. (2) Villas are a bit far from the beach, so make sure you wouldn't forget something before you go out. (3) Children have additional charge per night. P350 per kid. (4) You cannot bring outside food. (5) Resto is not 24/7. So make sure you are full before going to bed or have some snacks stored so you won't starve. (6) Wifi is available on the beach part. No wifi within your villa.

So beautiful and peaceful place”
The service is superb from start to finish. They have a very lovable way of welcoming us when we entered the Island...the lei, to cold face towels to freshen us and the welcome cold drink. The whole place speaks for its name....Paradise Island. It truly is paradise with all the plants, animals and beach. You will truly love nature and God's gift to us. They have clean beachline, clean surroundings, very courteous, clean rooms and best of all, it is so quiet and peaceful. We cannot ask for more. Paradise Island Park & Beach Resort is really a paradise.

Great family vacation spot on Samal Island”
My wife and I stay here with her extended family. Paradise Island Park & Beach Resort is in a good location on Samal Island and easy to get to. Just take the Paradise Island Skiff boat over the the resort it only takes about 10 minutes. The resort has good family style filipino foods served in an open air covered area on the beach. You can order from the menu and there is also a separate place where locals can bring their food and bbq it themselves on day trips. Rooms were decent with air con. activities include banana boats, snorkeling, jet skis.

It was a comfortable and relaxing resort”
I love our chic cabana room. It has its own backyard and the room is huge and beautifully decorated. It will be better is there's refrigerator inside the room though. The aircon worked, the shower is good and even the complimentary kits are decent. The beach is awesome and very clean. It was properly maintained although the shoreline is very small. We enjoyed swimming and the sands are white. There's a lot of staff so you'll feel secured and pampered. The front desk is accommodating and she helped us book our Samal City tour. The food is expensive but given you're in a resort, you should expect it. The food tastes good but alcoholic drinks should only be consumed in the restaurant. We want to order beer in our room but they don't allow it. All in all, it was a highly recommended resort when you're in Samal Island.

In search of a peaceful haven...”
We were delighted to be finally going to Paradise Island resort after hearing so many favourable reports from my sister-in-law who has lived in Davao for many years. We certainly weren't disappointed - the island-style trio band to greet us; a very friendly welcome at the front desk; great food and a large, clean, relaxed feeling room to sleep in. The tropical waters were tantalising and the sea-life and coral surprisingly good once past the barriers set to protect the beaches. We were delighted by acrobatic/circus shows, fire-dancing and a competent band. Outings to "Bat-caves" and nearby waterfall were enjoyable. Our only negative comments would be that the persistence of the excessively loud band during both lunch and dinner every day with the same repertoire got a bit overpowering - would have preferred more quiet times to relax (most people bring their own musical preferences with them these days) and the old fashioned in-wall a/c unit in our room proved too noisy to use all night

Excellent stay, but price is a bit intimidating”
There were flowers everywhere, from my buko juice to the room bed, even in the toilet bowl! Overall, it was a good experience staying at Paradise Island Park & Beach Resort. My Premier room is very clean and big. They have comfortable bed and pillows, big room, and very clean surroundings. I just don't like paying for breakfast at their restaurant, I mean all hotels should offer this with the room booking. The restaurant offers good food but price may be hefty for the budget conscious. Good thing is that included in my booking are 2 complimentary water sport activities and I went kayaking for half an hour. Also, since it is located in an island, boat transport should also be one of the inclusions in the booking, at least for those with overnight bookings. They have day tour also, making this resort interesting as well for those who wish to just enjoy the beach. Most of all, I like how attentive and polite their staff are!

Beautiful location with great service”
Even before you reach the resort which is located on Davao's Samal Island, you will be greeted by friendly resort staff at the private jetty located on Sasa's district of Kilometers 9. After a short 10-minutes boat ride, you will arrive at Paradise Island's resort with its private stretch of beach. The resort and rooms are well-maintained and very clean. I stayed in their Standard Room number 2, which came with twin beds, shower and front porch surrounded by a small garden. It is essentially a 1-bedroom house, one might say. Basic amenities are included but do bring your own hairdryer and shaving cream (although they provide a disposable shaver) if required. Do check if there will be a mini-fridge and/or television as my room did not come with either one amenities. Also, if you need to charge your electrical items, the points are located outside on the porch or inside the toilet (no idea why). Overall, it was a fantastic stay with great views at affordable prices!

Happy to recommend ”
As always, paradise island beach resort never disappoint me. This place is clean, peaceful, staff are very accommodating, & friendly. The rooms are well-kept. I always come here every time i visit Davao for a holiday. The foods are delicious, plenty of options to select from American breakfast, continental to Pinoy breakfast/ cuisine. Its secure place too, and most of all, the clear blue water, best to swim early in the morning. Happy to recommend to my friends and family.

All you need is there”
Going to Samal Island 3 days after a big typhoon was a big worry for the group since we have been looking forward for this trip: take time off from busy work schedules and just relax. People from the resort were reassuring us that the hotel is ready to accept guests, but I never believed them until i got there myself. The white sand beaches and garden were well manicured, the only evidence left of the typhoon were several floating branches and twigs in the sea. Welcome was beautiful and people were gracious, the complimentary sweet pomelo is one of a kind! I'm a big eater and i particularly enjoyed eating at their restaurant: acoustic night, food are fresh and reasonably priced. Guyabano shake is a must-try!

Best beach resort near Davao City”
Generally it was very good. Chalet has privacy and spacious. There's also a lot of activities to do. I highly recommend Paradise Island Park & Beach Resort for family gathering etc near to Davao downtown. Cheers to the warm staff. Keep it up :)

Exceptional”
There are more reasons why we definitely recommend this place to other travelers who wanted to enjoy Samal Island. 1. Prior to booking, their staff from Davao courteously attended to our queries. 2. The cottage that they gave us is so spacious, where the bathroom has separate bath, toilet and dressing area. It has its own yard where we could hang our wet clothing, a lanai where we could have our breakfast or dinner al fresco, and its own gate. 3. The staff are very accommodating and polite that you could feel their sincerity in giving delightful service to their guests. 4. They have good amenities such as playground for the kids, an aviary, dining area on the shore, indoor sports (giant chess, table tennis, darts, billiards) as well as water sports (kayaking, aquabike, etc) which you can enjoy. Although, it would also be great if they have a wading pool. 5. Entertainment during weekends while having dinner is also spectacular. They have an acoustic singer, fire dancers & fireworks display. 6. The have dedicated staff who ensures that there are no floating garbage, not even dry leaves in the ocean. They even rake the sand evenly regularly. We enjoy our stay and will go back here again!

EXCELLENT LOCATION AND LOVELY GROUNDS”
The hotel is located on Samal Island but they have private boat ferries that transport customers to and from Davao. It is very convenient and the ride is about 10 minutes. You arrive directly at the resort. The resort itself is located on a very nice beach, the grounds are beautiful and the rooms quite big and comfortable. The restaurant serves good food while there is a music band to entertain customers while at the restaurant. The only thing missing is a health/gym facility. Otherwise everything is great.

Excellent”
Modern clean tidy and spacious rooms so top notch there. Room could have had a kettle in it and basic tea and coffee. Maybe a few more western meals on the menu or even pitza. Thinking the only thing that this resort really needs is a pool it has a beach however for the overnight guests I do think a pool is required. This property is butflfuly looked after and is so clean . Also the entertainment when we stayed. band and fire dancers where seriously very good. Thanks so much guys. I wasn’t really 100% How paradise island resort would be however all six of use had a excellent stay. Just a mention again 100% to all the staff.

Paradis Island - A Must!”
The staff was very hospitable! We were welcomed with the warmest of smiles, cold juices, paradise island necklaces and cold towels. More than anything, they put their customers first - doing anything to satisfy your needs. Service and facilities were incredible. The food, though, was ok. Nonetheless, we will definitely come back to paradise island. One more thing (if you're coming from the airport): do tell the taxi driver to drop you off at the paradise island dock. We made a mistake of going to the barge, which made our trip more expensive and tedious.
