Very noisey end of the beach”

The town is now solely based around the full moon parties, with a lot of shops, services closed in between,giving the town a closed down feel. The beach is now lined with ugly bars and bucket shops. We visited 12 years ago and loved it,stayed 3 nighs this time and hated it. It has lost it's beach vibe that made it special. Paradise Bungalows are located at the far end of the beach and are a good price for the quality and location, they have lovely rooms, we had a superior sea view, spacious,comfy beds with good Wifi, TV, big balconies and an even lovlier, sparkling clean pool and friendly staff, but thats where the good comments stop. Resort grounds look very scrappy and a dumping ground for any old junk, broken furniture and general rubbish left over from the full moon parties strewn around the grounds, the restaurant resembles a bus station and has no atmosphere, whilst the pool is stunning, they invite backpackers staying else where to use it for the price of a drink or 50 baht and they do, ok when it's not busy, but would be horrible for paying guests during peak times. We expected Haad Rin to be noisey at night, unfortunately, hotel is located right next to the nosiest bar on the beach. Recommendation, give Haad Rin a miss.

We like to check out different hotels before booking so that we nail the perfect one that suits both our needs. This place knocked it out of the park. We chose a hillside bungalow just behind the swimming pool and even though the room was very basic, the amenities were perfect. We had a great balcony where we sat and watched the rain storms. The WiFi is fast & the room was clean. The breakfast is a MAJOR HIT so don’t skip out. Al, the employee here, was very helpful, friendly, and a positive asset to their Paradise team. The pool is magnificent boasting a water slide right on the beach & they’re steps away from the biggest party nightlife in the islands.

Best Place to Be”

We came back to Paradise Bungalows after our Trip to Ko Tao. Absolutely worth!! Nice Staff, Great Rooms, good Food, Poolarea nice and its close to the Beach!! At the Poolside Rooms it is a little bit noisy, but if you are part of the party it doesnt matter at all!! At full moon party this hotel rocks!!

Great location and service with a smile”

our main purpose in koh phangan was nightlife. we chose this hotel because he was at the beach of the full moon but at the end of it, so it is possible to sleep all the time (no boom boom from the party). we were at the hill side bungalows - the room was big and the balcony was awesome. will come back to this hotel

Full Moon Party”

This hotel is a little dated, but more than makes up for it with the great location right on Haad Rin beach. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed spending a week here and being able to return to our room during the full moon party. This was my 3rd time in Koh Phanghan for the full moon party, but my first time staying on the beach of the party and it made for a great night having the option to return home for toilet breaks / apply paint / drink on our porch etc. The hotel staff were lovely and the breakfast was tasty, overall a great experience.

The ideal hotel to absorb the Full Moon Party”

We visited Koh Phangan to experience the Full moon beach parties. The hotel was very close to the action. Just a short walk to the Full Moon party location. Surrounded by Food options and easy bike rental shops it was all that we needed. We would definitely stay again if we visit again.

Best view on the island”

Booked this place last minute for 4 nights during Full Moon. Room was huge with 2 bunks, 1 single and 1 queen. Bathroom also substantial. The bungalow itself was situated fairly far from the reception and pool area, about a 8-10 minute walk into the wooded area of the property. Aside from the strenuous climb to the top of the hill, the location was quiet and peaceful (except for the day after Full Moon when the backyard bar hosts the after party and places loud music for 24 hours). Huge balcony off the room, as well as enormous roof top balcony with 2 levels. Best view of Koh Phangan that I saw with views of both the eastern and western shores. Good place for tanning with Phangan's crisp, refreshing breeze. Pool near reception is older and not in its best form. But usable. Some chairs need repair. Decent, but cheap food at the restaurant. Overall great location during full moon and reasonable price if booked in a group.

One of the best Full Moon Party hotels ”

the hotel at first is very basic. but it has clean beds, a decent bathroom and aircon. now onto the better parts: it's right on haad rin beach so just walk out the door to the full moon party. it's down one end of the beach, away from the main noise, so it's still possible to get a nights sleep. the pool is nice and there is a good restaurant there with cheap food and drinks. don't expect too much, but if you want location and value for money it's great.

Great location, but rooms are just ok”

The paradise bungalow hotels has a nice location and the rooms next to the pool are pretty nice (but also ver noisy). The room they put me into was not so good. I would not stay here again. there is much better value out there in Haad Rin. The pool area is really nice the "hill" rooms are not nice at all

Mismatched property, decent rooms, plenty of noise”

Friendly service, nice pool, right on the beach. Due to the proximity to the beach clubs do not expect to get to bed early! However, seeing as how it's mostly a party zone if that's your purpose then this affordable hotel will do the trick. If you want to see some beauty head up to the quieter beaches further north, haad rin ain't pretty!

Party, party, party”

I was there to party at the Full Moon Party and I party a lot. At first, I was in the bungalows on the hill but I asked to change room to be right on the beach front. Take care which bungalow you will get because some of them it's only a 2 single beds and I shower ... nothing else. But the room next to the pool are just perfect. The restaurant is good. Wifi for free everywhere. The pool is just perfect with nice people spending the day drinking and chatting. Like I said it's a party place don't expect to go in bed before 5 AM or maybe if your are really drunk. Bring your earplugs because before and after Full Moon Party it's party from 8PM to 5 AM.

Good for the Price”

If you are looking for safe, affordable accommodations this is the place for you. Location is excellent, bungalows are private and the pool is big. There is also a restaurant on site and everything is within walking distance. Staff is friendly and can help with transportation. If you are expecting a four star property with a luxurious bathroom then this is not for you. My only complaint is that the Bungalows are very large therefore the AC does not cool to a very low temp, but it is still a lot better than no AC at all.

Good location and right on the beach”

We stayed at one of the pool bungalows and it was nice. Clean room being that this is the headquarters of the full moon party. Can get loud at night due to the proximity to the beach bars but was manageable. Restaurant is open early and super late which was helpful.

Well positioned hotel”

This hotel has a good position at the southern end of attractive Had Rin sunrise beach. This is the party beach and people tend to party every night although normal nights' noise level/duration tend to be much lower than at Full Moon Party - I slept okay in my Superior Garden View bungalow which was on the hillside some distance from the nearest venue, and I'm sensitive to loud music. I think the situation would be different at full moon though. My room must have been something when new but it was in need of some TLC - the plumbing was dodgy, the door didn't lock properly and the last 10m of path was unlit if I forgot to turn the porch light on. But it was very spacious, had a big comfy bed, effective if not quiet aircon, good hot water, good lights, a huge deck with garden and distant sea views. The pool is great - almost 25m long for you lap swimmers. The restaurant had okay food at prices below normal budget bungalow levels. Lots of similarly priced competition nearby. Free wifi didn't extend to garden rooms. Staff were a bit blase. I thought the price of my room was a tad high for low season - but there is a premium for staying on the best beach in Had Rin central.

Nice”

My friends and I expected to join the Half Moon Party on Jan 5th that's why we chose to stay here as it's just next to Rin Beach. The location is pretty cool. There're some restaurants and bars near by. The place itself is okay. The bathroom smells awful (to me) but the room is nice and clean. The water is super hot and cause us difficulty to take shower. Reception counter closed at 10pm.

Great value for money”

We got a great big bungalow that was clean and very close to beach and shops etc. can hear the music from bars but didn't bother us. Staff friendly but not great English skills. Pool is fantastic especially if you want to do proper swimming. Very good hotel for cheap price! It was in between the full moon parties so quite quiet, can imagine it will be busy a d noisy when the parties are on, but its great place to stay at any time.

great location”

we had a nice bungalow that was huge. it was very clean, had just the basics in and air con, but for the cost it was great. the hotel is right on the beach, a little to one end so even though you can hear music from the bars it's not too loud at the bungalows at the back. swimming pool was fantastic especially when doing proper swimming.

Great location and pool”

stayed in an old bungalow... clean and very spacious with a private balcony overlooking the pool and sea - needs a bit of tender love and care but where hardly in the room as the pool area is amazingly clean and the beach is lovely! cheap drinks and food in the restaurant with internet and wifi and right close to all the bars but at the end of the strip so its quiet in the rooms.

Stay here was great for the full moon as you are right in the heart of it. Perfect for younger people looking to party as don't expect much sleep noise from surrounding bars will go all night and morning. Worth a look if thinking of staying in Haad Rin otherwise look to the North of the Island for much more pictures' scenery and clean beaches.
