Paradise with benefits”

We loved this resort. We upgraded to the Suite-B as we found the Garden View Villa not up to the expectations. It was all smooth. Su was extremely understanding and we managed to negotiate a good rate. The Suite is fantastic, very relaxing and waking up in the morning was one of those unforgettable moments you take with you. The smell of the garden, the light... all wonderful. the location is excellent. Haad Rin has enough to offer to those who want peace (espectially before noon) and have fun (after 9 pm). The Villa was away from the noise. The breakfast is great and so the meals. Om, Su and the rest of the team are always there happy to assist you and they really make a big difference. Let's go quickly to the Cons. Only one: flies. Unofrtunately there are a few flies around the restuarant area that can be a real pain. However this is pretty common in Koh Phangan, so it is not something you will experience only with Palita Lodge.

We weren't sure what to expect when we booked, as we booked a suite and the price compared to other rooms across Thailand was more expensive, however, the suite had to have been one of the nicest and cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in! The sunken bath with bamboo shower overhead is an amazing feature as well. Everything from the pool to the service was amazing, with one of the best things being the food...it had to have been the best food on the island (several other travelers we met who stayed there said the same thing. The people working there seem to have a real family vibe to them, they aren't friendly because they have to be, but rather because they make it their personal mission to ensure you have a great stay. Beach placement was perfect as well, we went for the Full Moon Party and we couldn't have been in a better spot...know if you go to bed early you will still hear the bass from the clubs, but it's not that bad. All in all, I'd recommend Palita Lodge to literally anyone thinking of going to Koh Phangan!

Great location and excellent service”

Palita Lodge is in a great location in Had Rin. It is right on the beach and close to restaurants, massage places and shops. The garden view villas that we stayed in were spacious, clean and comfortable. The separate shower/toilet was a bonus. Our villas were close to the back of the hotel which was perfect, because it was far enough away from the beach to be able to sleep while the music was still going. The restaurant had consistently high quality food for very reasonable prices. The menu is extensive and we tried a lot of different thing. Definitely recommend the "No Name Chicken". There was a lot of variety on the included breakfast menu and the 'gala dinner' on full moon night was delicious. The pool area is a decent size. We were there at a peak time and there was always free lounges. The pool was clean and you could have food and drink brought to you poolside. The staff at Palita were excellent. They were very friendly and helpful. The manager was really nice, when we missed breakfast one morning and she gave us free lunch to make up for it. She also gave us free lunch and didn't charge us for anything we took from the minibar when we checked out a day early (we had to pay for a minimum 5 nights because we were pre-booked for full moon time). There were at least 2 spare rooms for the full moon party and I think if you just turned up at full moon time you would be able to book for a minimum of 3 instead, maybe even one. There is a set of rules that are given to you on arrival but they are all very reasonable and not too strictly enforced.

Amazing stay ”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Palita Lodge. I was travelling with a group of six others and it was absolutely perfect for all of us. We felt like we were cared for as if the staff in the Palita were our family. The breakfast was outstanding each morning and the full moon buffet was unbelievable. It was an ideal location for the full moon party, it being on the beach. We also did a tour from there which was really enjoyable. We made great use out of the pool which was so clean. I would certainly recommend the Palita Lodge to any one wanting to go to Koh Phangan.

Our stay at the Palita Lodge was fantastic, we couldn't of asked for more! The staff are so helpful and will go out of their way to make sure you are happy. The breakfast had a good choice and the restaurant offered so much choice and was always really tasty! The hotel is right on the beach so everything in Haad Rin is walking distance. We stayed there at Full Moon and were worried it might be too loud but its at the quieter end of the beach so we had no problems. The hotel organised elephant trekking and a free shuttle service. Will definitely stay at Palita on our next trip!

Wonderful pool, great when travelling with small children ”

If you are wanting to stay on hand rin beach, then this is the place to stay as it really is the best resort on the whole beach! Our stay at the Palita lodge was as always very pleasant. It has a good price for the rooms, but the restaurant and the services as laundry and the like are more expensive than as they usually cost in the neighbourhood. All in all Haad Rin changed within the last couple of years and became more of a family with young children place. (I suppose except during full moon). Still the beach is one of best beaches in Thailand, even though that had rin's best times are long passé.

Simply Perfect!”

Everything from the moment we arrived exceeded expectations. My girlfriend and I stayed here for 5 nights over Full Moon (the busiest time on the Island). We were also at The Pailta Lodge for my 30th birthday. Despite the busy time, the service and standard of food was impeccable throughout. Nothing was too much trouble. They helped my girlfriend organise a private dinner on the beach for my 30th (the night before Full Moon). When she got an ear infection they contacted the best doctor in town and took her to him to get medical attention. As I'm sure anyone booking this hotel will know it is on the beach where "The Full Moon" party happens. This means on that specific evening the beach is VERY busy all night with party goers. Dates of Full Moon Parties can be checked online. You should also be aware that the very faint hum of music can be heard most other nights from the other end of the beach. No where near enough to prevent you from sleeping but worth noting if you are looking for somewhere with blissful serenity and nothing but the sound of crickets. For us it was perfect. A beautiful peaceful layout within the complex and an amazing infinity pool. This all looked out onto one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been on with powder like white sand. All this within 10 steps of your clean, comfortable, well air conditioned, private lodge. As I mentioned, there is a small party it would seem every night down the far end of the beach away from The Palita Lodge. This is far enough away to ignore, yet close enough to go and have a few drinks and have a fun night going as late as you want before walking back up the beach to The Palita Lodge. 100% recommended to all!

Great escape from the nightlife”

We stayed here for 5 nights over the Full Moon party. Palita lodge is in the perfect location to walk right down to the beech party but is just far enough away that you don't get kept up all night by the dance music. We stayed in a garden suite and it was very comfortable with nice loungers to chill on in the living room, to a excellent bathroom. Mini bar prices are the same as the bar which are very reasonable and they keep it well stocked for you. The staff were great and very friendly and communication was no problem. We had a amazing time experiencing this party and Palita lodge gave us a comfortable retreat to return to after some big nights. We would defiantly stay here again.

Great rooms, location and exceptional service”

I can only write a positive review of this hotel as I had a fantastic stay. Palita is located right on the beach with great bars to choose from but with enough distance for a relaxed peaceful stay. A stone throw from the town centre, the food at the hotel was brilliant and the rooms were of great standard - they even gave me and another guest a complimentary dinner. The standout feature of this hotel was the service. All the staff were obliging and always had a smile. During my stay i was upgraded twice. First to the beach front bangalow which had the amazing view of sunrise and the beach - staff were upfront about the music from the beach bar at night but it didn't bother me. Second was was the Poolside villa which was a huge room and bed. I highly recommend Palita Lodge and would stay there again.

Great hotel and location - will come back again”

we stayed 5 nights in September before the full-moon party and i think this hotel is one of the best hotels in Haad-Rin. the location is on the sunrise beach, far enough from the cactus parties at night so you can also get some sleep before 5 am. the stuff are very nice and helpful and the food is great at the restaurant. in addition to nice pool and with big comfortable rooms this hotel is giving you full enjoyable relaxing vacation in Koh Phangan - will be back again to this hotel.

Very Relaxing ”

We stayed first in the suite room for 3 nights, which was fine, but we just didnt use the facilities, and being quite expensive compared to the garden view rooms, decided to move, compromising on price over size for another 3 nights. We (2 adults + 1 1 year old) only planned to stay the 3 nights, but had such a relaxing time here stayed for 3 more. It wasnt necessarily the hotel that made it relaxing, Koh Phangan does that for you, but it certainly helped. Right on the best beach sunrise beach, clean rooms, not far from haad rin center and I cant over emphasis how amazing and lovelly all the staff were. Would love to come back here in the future.

palita lodge is a really great hotel. location is amazing, right in haad rin but not too close to the action during full moon but close enough for a quick 4 minute walk. service at palita lodge is truly impeccable. everyone there is more than glad to help.

Quiet, comfortable, beautiful”

Our stay has been very pleasant. With the reputation of Haad Rin, I expect the hotel's vicinity to be very loud, and I was proven wrong. Even the night time has been quiet. It would be a great place to stay if you want to stay and relax on Haad Rin. The service is impeccable. All the staffs come by to ask for last order and to say good night when they close the restaurant, while we continue to sit on the beach and enjoy the scenery. The hotel also provide free pick up and drop off at Haad Rin pier, as well as providing a ferry ticket back to Samui at an actual cost. As our boat leaves at 5:30 pm, and there are vacant rooms, the hotel also allow us to do a late check out until 5 pm. A very pleasant stay indeed.

Every hotel in SE Asia will be compared to Palita”

Palita was a magical place for us. When we arrived to Koh Phanang, we initially looked into staying at Palita since my boyfriend had stayed there before and remembered it fondly. It was booked, so we ended up at the Sea View Garden Hotel. Granted Palita is a more expensive option, but when we finally got one night booked, it was worth every penny. Incredibly modern decor, ultra comfy bed, clean and unique bathroom, peaceful grounds, amazing staff, great breakfast and the perfect location right on the beach. Only downside is the price tag, but like I said - worth every penny. Stay here if you can.

Amazing place! Such a great find! ”

I had the best experience at Palita Lodge from beginning to end! The staff were so warm, friendly and helpful. They gave me an upgrade because of construction noise. The location is stunning! Literally beachfront with a beautiful pool and garden area. The family who runs the place is so kind! Breakfast was a served one, not your average breakfast buffet. They arranged my ferry ticket and even provided free transfer to pier. This is the way a hotel should be run! Fantastic experience I will be back! Only (small) complaint is Bed was very hard but that is typical in Thailand and overall experience made this a small factor.

The rooms are modern, clean and well taken after. The staff is very nice and helpful, they cleaned our room every day. Location probably the best in Haad Rin, right on the beach but on the quiter side. The pool is lovely and the breakfast is terrific, a great way to start your day. Best place we stayed in Thailand. Relaxing, value for money, nice beach hotel”

The hotel is centrally well located at the heart of Haad Rin, 5 minutes by car from Haad Rin Pier to hotel with free shuttle provided by hotel, the clean white sandy beach with clear sea water are the most attractive point, the relaxation feel of the hotels makes you don't feel to leave the hotel. They have friendly staff, tasty inclusive breakfast and free high speed wifi Internet to hotel guest. The Beach Front or Pool View will be the best choice ever as Garden View will be a bit far and quiet. 5 minutes walk to get public transport to famous Half Moon Party celebration. Overall high satisfaction and for sure will be back for vacation again !!

Location Location Location”

We had a lovely stay at Palita, the beach is fantastic in front of this resort. Their pool has fabulous lounges and the outdoor furniture is brilliant...bright cushions and all kept immaculately. Table tennis is also available outside and the shade from beautiful trees makes it exceptionally comfortable on hot days. Couldn't fault anything and we will be back every time we visit Koh Phangan.

Absolutely amazing!!!!”

You can not find a better place to stay in Koh Phangan!! It is on the beautiful Had Rin (sunrise beach) on which the full moon parties are held, but it's on the opposite end of the beach and therefore still quiet enough to get some sleep when you need it. It's central to everything in Koh Phangan but it still feels like you have your own piece of the island even in Peak season. Definitely stay here when in Koh Phangan!!!

Favorite spot during our 2 week trip in Thailand”

Because we were there during the low season we were able to splurge a few extra bucks a night for the beach front room. It was definitely worth it. Waking up to the beautiful beach that is only a few steps out the door was an amazing experience. The staff was extremely kind. They provided free shuttles to and from the pier, gave us tasty fruit and welcome drinks when we arrived and were always happy to help. We were there right before (2 nights before) the Full Moon party so I don't know how the atmosphere is during that time, but the Palita lodge is far enough from the louder bars that you can avoid the partying if you wish. I will definitely be staying here again!
