This review is long due, but better late than never they said. Thank you Paihia Pacific for your warm welcome. The room we got is very nice and clean. It is worth the price. Me and my family had a great stay.

Fantastic Experience”

We all had a fabulous time and would like to commend the manager for her excellent and professional service. It was great to talk to someone who was from the area and could pass on a lot of information. The food was great and we were surprised that there weren't more people eating in the restaurant. Great value!! Would definitely recommend people stay at this hotel

Nice place to stay in Paihia”

We really enjoyed the time spending there. I would say, that the hotel is better than on the pictures. We had a big room with comfortable beds and small kitchen area. We liked to have a breakfast outside near the swimming pool. The breakfast is basic (possible to upgrade), but we had all that we need. Good location and friendly staff. Thanks a lot.

No sleep for us!”

We booked this hotel for the pool - when we arrived we were told the pool was under maintenance so could not be used. Strike one for my daughter who was very disappointed. Saturday night was terrible, unsure if due to the location being on the same road as all the pubs and backpackers, but a fight broke out outside our unit at 1am,. Drunken party continued (wth more violence and children screaming) in the communal garden area until 3:30am. Another hotel guest called reception but no onsite policing of guest behaviour or noise control by hotel staff. My assumption is that this is either a local for undesirables, or just an unlucky wkd for our 'quiet' escape. Either way, we won't be risking it again. On a positive note - room was fantastic, big enough for 4 if needed. Wished we'd been able to find out how good it was to actually sleep in.

Very good”

Very pleased with our room. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Only complaint would be the guests in the room above us, slamming doors and being rather loud at 2am (no fault of the hotel). Thankfully they were only there half the time we were. Would definitely recommend to friends travelling to the area 🙂

Good price but outdated ”

The room was a great price for one night, the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. The pool area is small and the hot tub only fits 2 people in. The sauna had a padlock on so guess it wasn’t working. The rooms were very outdated however it was a good size, had a fridge with tea and coffee and a little balcony. The car park under the block we were in was very noisy. A group of motorbikes were leaving at 8am revving their engines and it echoed through the whole block of rooms.

Exceptional”

Clean and nice hotel. Not too far from the town and near to the beach. There’s nice swimming pool with hot tub but close a but too early. Clean room but there are insects. Lovely staff service

Dated but good value for money”

The room we had was huge but some features are quite dated. The bathroom has been upgraded but the basin was broken and the showerhead is only suitable if you are 3 feet tall. The location is close to youth hostels and bars so can become noisy and walking in the street later in the evening is a bit treacherous. The staff are excellent and overall it was a very good experience. Really good value for money at the price.

Large rooms and lovely service”

The staff were very accommodating. We had 5 of us and were booked for continental breakfast only. However, they upgraded us to fully cooked breakfast for free as our rooms could accommodate 8 persons. Thank u so much for the hospitality and good service! Do stay here to enjoy their service! :)

children love it”

my family and I love this place so much. the room itself have a lot of space and enough beds for 5 of us. staff were friendly and the place is clean and very convenient location. worth the money. will stay here again and highly recommended.

Great under cover parking. Quiet street. Nicely presented room. Comfy bed. Loved how we had a balcony with a sliding door for fresh air

Comfortable, clean, affordable”

Easy to find, quiet nights sleep, nice pool area, we booked last minute and got a very good price which included a variety of choices for the continental Breakfast. Easy walking distance to the shops, beach.

Good value for $70”

Very basic room, carpet is old and worn. Bathroom was not finished. Lovely breakfast and gardens. With a bit of updating the room would have been lovely but at this stage I would not want to spend more than $100 per night.

NICE PLACE TO SAVE MONEY”

The place is clean and the staff are very nice, easy check in and check out. And if you check out early but leave the town later, you can park you car there. if you walk to the center, it maybe takes about 15-20 mins. Highly recommended!

Nice but a few improvements would be great”

We were a family of four adults. The room was large, clean and well set out with comfy beds. The staff was really lovely. Location was great too. However, a few improvements could occur: parking was absolutely awful on the back 200 block of rooms. There are no marked parking spots and simply not enough space for the number of cars. The room could also use a microwave. Thought the room was a bit pricey considering it didn't have a good view and you couldn't see the water at all.

Old and dated, nothing like the pictures”

The bathroom was full of mould around the bath tub. The bath and shower where aaged in places. Paint patches on the walls. Door very hard to open! No gf or df options available at breakfast which is nothing special! (They did buy gf bread and soy milk on request but I was told to pay for this) staff are all very nice (mostly backpackers)but can't help when discussing your concerns about the room. Don't think it's worth what you pay!

Great value for money”

Perfect location, quite big room and very clean.

Basic but clean”

The room was clean, bed comfortable. There was a lack of electric outlets to recharge phones, tablets etc. The only socket was in an alcove above the fridge. There was no mirror in the room, which combined with lack of socket made drying hair impossible. When we arrived the room had been cleaned with too much bleach and it took a while for the smell of chlorine to dissipate. In the bathroom there was a used soap bar on the floor behind the door, which the cleaner must have dropped. The following day the trash can in the bathroom had been emptied but the plastic bag with the trash was still on the floor! Breakfast was in a large room that looked like a school canteen, the quality of food on offer left a lot to be desired. In a country that has plenty of fresh fruit, to have only tinned fruit on offer was a disappointment.

Not on the beach, but walking distance from all attractions. Bit dated, but clean and very comfortable. Staff excellent and great value for money.
