Located infront of a muslim dining place, quiet far from town, but its ok if you have a transportation. Please noted that they didn't provide free room for hire driver. So please book extra room for the driver.

Jimmy and his wife are very helpful and friendly. There was a bit of misunderstanding about our breakfast, it was included in our booking but at arrival we found out that it is not. Jimmy’s wife greatly made this up to us by making us breakfast in the morning in her own kitchen. On our last day Jimmy invited us to go to the hot springs, took us out for lunch and taught us a lot about the local environment and culture. I would recommend staying at this place, about a 10 minute walk to the centre of Berastagi and a 5 minute walk to Jabu; a beautiful old restaurant on top of a hill.

The owner was nice and friendly. The location of the hotel was good as it was only a short walk to the town and night market. My only grouse was that when I booked via Agoda, it says the room comes with breakfast. When I checked in, I was asked to sign a check in form, which I did but did not read the fine print. The next morning when I asked about breakfast, I was told that I signed the check in form that says there will be no breakfast provided. I was told that this is OYO's policy but I felt cheated as why would it be advertised that breakfast came with the room only to have me sign a check in form that waivers my right to the breakfast.

Very noisy at night”
Can't sleep at night due to the noise of motorbikes as opposite is a cafe. Toilet facilities are very limited and the bed is terrible condition. But good location to walk to town, Night fruit market and to Gundaling Hill

Excellent advice about Berastagi”
Jimmy and his wife are fantastic people. Jimmy will show you things lonely planet won't tell you about Berastagi. I felt completely comfortable and safe with them. Ask about a tour to see lava at night. Their tours might be a little more expensive than other places, but the experience was worth it. For anything you need, just ask them! They'll always help! I was lucky to be there when it was low season, so it was quiet and relaxing.

Great place to stay if you need a rest for a day or two while you had others activity outside. Walking distance to Fruits Market and so called town area where you will find many foods. Owner a lady and her staff was very friendly and helpful. Will give you info whatever you need in Berastagi. I will recommend if you are solo couples or groups that dont mind the room condition as its just a place to put your belongings and a quick rest. Nope for family with small children i guess.

The room was pretty comfortable, but a little dirty. The restaurant had limited food options, and it was pretty overpriced. I would probably look at other options if I went to Berastagi in the future.

Lovely people, super friendly and helpful”
Great location as the property is off the Main Street so is quiet but only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Beristagi. Jimmy and his wife were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great (lovely Indonesian options) and made with coffee and spices grown by jimmy himself. The room itself was basic but fine - what you expect everywhere in Sumatra.

The owners are very helpful. The hotel is situated bit out from town area but just a walking distance away. The room looks old & not so clean, it really need to be refurbish or at least a repaint. The tour recommended by the owner to the valcanos are more expensive but what you get is a personal/private tour guide, the owner's son himself. During the tour you will be travelling with him on his motorbike, do be reminded, he does not have a driving licence so you are taking the risk of not covered by your insurance in case an accident happen during the ride.

Cleaniness can be improved, nice host but better to clarify with them before any special request or tour booking on the final pricing. The location is good, got a nice restaurant Jabu within walking distance. Room does not equip with Fan or Aircond. Don't mind on the Aircond but maybe can provide a basic Fan for better air circulation. Overall worth the price

My son lost his arm card and had run out of money. We were wiring him money but he missed the banks hours that day. The owner let him stay in good faith and then let him eat with her family. Truly wonderful people and my son loved the house.

My stay was fantastic. The environment was clean and the owner was very friendly and helpful.Just be prepared for the mosquitoes as there is no fan or aircon. The place is chill so i dont think we need a fan.

Disappointing experience due to a very low quality”
This hotel is definitely overpriced. Although from outside it looks nice, it is of a very poor quality inside (especially the bathroom which is very basic, without a sink). Another important thing to mention is the noise all night long (barking dogs, people playing guitar and singing outside; thin walls that doesn't protect from the noise from vehicles passing by as it's just next to the road). The staff's very frequent response was "No, we don't have...".

The owner is a couple, both friendly and nice. We engaged the husband as our tour guide for half day. We were satisfied with the service. The only thing that I cannot take it is the cleanliness of the property. Hope it can be better.

Highly overpriced accomodation”
Do not expect the quiet location as it is closed to road and mosque and the rooms have always open vents. We had 2 rooms and in both we had troubles with warm water in the shower/toilet room. Also do no be surprised to meet the cockroach there. The breakfast was good, the husband of the owner was great in providing info what to visit and how and also was helpful to organize the trip or the transport.

Very noisy location around the road corner the traffic at night is annoying. The single room is just next to owner's house as the wall is too thin that you could hear people talking next door that lasts until 1am! Would be appreciate the owner pay more consideration when there is a guest check-in. Need to put on ear plugs to sleep that was the first time I check-in a accommodation! Look around at upper slope for nicer view and cheaper. It is overcharged with this room quality.
